I am currently using all i150 except mainhand, which is i180. I get 83%. I think when I get the 2 star crafted offhand, it'll reach over 85%, which means 100% when I spend 100 GP on Sharp Vision II / Field Mastery II.

With this information, we can safely guess that i180 mainhand + 2 star offhand can do you the magic of 100% without food.

Not necessarily, it depends on your melds. I have the i180 MH, i170 OH, and chimerical felt/serpentskin/dragonskin/hardsilver gear. With melds my stats are G705/P717/GP614, but I still only get 83% (98% with Sharp Vision II / Field Mastery II) on Sun Mica, Blue Quartz, Wattle Bark, and that ilk.

Of course it depends on melds. But judging by the fact that kenventa has 669 gathering already before having the i180 mainhand, the prediction should be pretty close...
