Question: Is it possible to leave duty without penalty?

I know this leave penalty is around for ragequitters, but surely, there is a workaround for people with legitimate reason to leave and the party is totally cool with that.

My stuff had broke in a duty, my bad for no checking duurability, so I couldnt stay with them cuz I'd be totally useless.
Now how do I go about doing that? leaving the duty gives penalties ;/Too late now but for future reference cuz shits gonna happen again, I garentee it

Ask the party to kick you. They will probably do it, if you have a valid reason for it.

Its only 30 minutes. If you have to leave the duty for some reason, most likely its going to be atleast 30 minute or you could just ask them to wait a couple minutes. Other than the "kick" option, if someone else leaves before you do there will be no penalty.

If your weapon and armor broke, you can explain to the party and they will kick you. They will probably notice your reduced heals (especially if your weapon broke).

Otherwise, you can call a vote for an "abandon duty". You can't do it until 15 minutes in, but it might be something the party is willing to do if you're the healer or tank. DPS are relatively easy to replace. Tanks and healers not so much.

also, if you get the chance to level your crafters to 50, bring some grade 6 dark matter with you in the dungeon. You can just repair it mid-run and avoid this issue altogether.

BTW, if you're in a full-premade, you don't get any penalty for leaving (other than possibly burning bridges with friends if you're rude about it).

I was actually in a full pre-made the other night and left because one member forgot to switch from SMN to SCH. Went in to re-queue us and was shocked to find I'd been slapped with a penalty. It was hard roulette, not a specific dungeon, so I guess that was the difference.
