Need Clarification on Changing GCs

Good morning all,

So, I have a question regarding PVP and changing GC ranks. I know you lose your PVP rank, and I know you lose your action points, etc.

However, my question pertains to the achievements for getting the Field Commander set. Currently, I'm rank 48 on Maelsuck (they lose all the time) and I have the FC boots and gloves. I'm 2 wins away from the pants and 52 wins away from the coat.

Does changing GC's keep your wins for these achievements? Or would I have to start over and get another full 50 wins for the pants and another 100 wins for the chest?

My guess is that it doesn't matter wht GC you're in. According to the achievement description at least. I'd say go for it! I'm pretty sure SE wouldn't screw this much up. If your victory count on the achievement resets after changing, send a mail bomb to SE (jk don't actually do it ).

To be 110% certain: stay.

EDIT: To be clear, I have won more than 300 matches in total in seize, but not with ALL GCs; I've been in all 3. And I have the 300 win achievement. So yeah, go for it!

Yeah I assume it wouldn't reset based on the description that you need 100 wins in any of the three companies.

But, I'm hoping for official confirmation from someone who's done it before wasting 15 days and 50,000 Gil.

My wins with flames: 291
Mael: 233
Adders: 210

Achievements I have:
Behind enemy lines 1 (Behind enemy lines 2 is at 291/300 which is consistent with flames victories)
Between a rock and a hard place 5 (100/100)
Beneath enemy rocks (300/300)

I have people on reddit saying the same thing you are, that you don't lose your wins. But, then I had one person respond saying they do re-set. Feeling confused.

Also got 'Beneath Enemy Rocks' after 10 wins at flames when I swapped from mael with 290 wins. I'm pretty sure it goes the same with field commander.

Several people have complained about this achievement's wording being misleading. "Guide any of the three Grand Companies to a total of 100 Seal Rock campaign victories." actually means guide any one of the three GCs to 100 victories. You cannot do 50 on Mael and 50 on Adder, it has to be 100 wins on one GC. If you were to switch now, you would need to get 100 new victories to get the Coat.

I don't know if you would keep your Mael victory record if you were to switch to a different GC and then switch back to Mael, but it would not surprise me if it reset each time you switched.

Actually, this is a misconception, as pointed out in a thread I made, swapping gcs does not affect the amount of wins you have to do to get the Coat.

For example, if I win 70 in Mael, 20 in Adders and 10 in Flames, I get my 100 wins for coat.

However, by swapping gcs, your rank is reset, your GC position is reset unless you previously held a position, you have to go back to your old GC winrate for ADS mount and GC warhorse

I'm sorry, you are correct. I was thinking of Behind Enemy Lines, not Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

Yeah so for ads mount one Grand company 300 wins, field commander set any Grand company combination. I am working on the last achievement and it is still counting flames and adder wins. It did not reset.
