Right because tech chases and aerial combos in blade and soul aren't forms of animation locks
Honestly no. Especially not with these servers.
I've played a couple MMOs like that, and the more "actiony" they are, the encounters feel less like an actual team game and more so just an instance where a bunch of people happen to be in an one time.

I would honestly play FFXIV more if it had action combat. Though I don't see them doing a total combat overhaul, maybe the next FF MMO.
Which makes sense regarding those two situations. Teching will have an animation lock because you're trying to get out of harms way fast. Tech chasing only exists because of a very short delay between the tech wearing off and the person is still in the state where they can't use skills for a fraction of a second. That's its own separate ball game in itself. Aerial combos are just that, its a CC, you're doing something so the monster can't do anything and react.

Action combat is fun in short bursts, but for a MMORPG, I feel it just doesnt fit in well as you will become so tired out from hackandslashing all the time.
I tried it in TERA, BlackDesert and Wildstar, and I hated it after several hours![]()
Probably. I enjoy it in Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online.

No thanks. I'm just not that good with that kind of game.

I recently was part of a tech test for Tera Console and really liked the combat
If that means I could play my paladin like Vindictus Fiona, then sign me the heck up.
Only if it played like DMC. I won't accept low quality "action" from what mmo's that are currently out there.

Nope. Tried wildstar which had action combat and it was one of the main reasons I left. The combat caused my hands to get extremely sore and it felt like I needed a 3rd hand just to get full control of my character (mouse and keyboard play).
