Definitely yes.
Definitely yes.
Not that I believe that you are wrong, but the game isn't out yet and what you seen in trailers isn't the game. The only thing we got out out demos was the battle system. Everything else, like character design can be changed on the fly since the game is still in development. And apparently, they will delay the game for more years (apparently given the announcement in 2006, 9 years ago) since time isn't an issue for changing design.Dissidia is a fighting game with some RPG elements (namely levels/equips), not an actual RPG. Also, it had a menu-based combat option that made it feel like an fast ATB game. I have other reasons to not like FFXV, like ambientation, character design, party composition etc. I will still try to play it, but I think I'll skip it and focus on the other two big RPG titles I'm looking for next year.
EDIT: And I had the most important reason to play Dissidia and 012: seeing all the story interactions of my 'favorite media character of all time' with the other protagonists.
I do not like Action combat, not in Final Fantasy games anyway. If XIV had Turnbased combat, I would prefer that over Action Combat
In games like Devil May Cry, Onechanbara, bring on the Action combat.
Yea, if it was like TERA. Imho Tera had the best combat hands down in any game I ever played.
GC to me is rather boring. I rather have FFXI combat over this GC thing we have now. ^^;
I probably would as I prefer the action style combat. That being said I think the combat as it is pretty good and it fits FFXIV. I just would like to cast on the move instead of being stationary
Don't see why i would not.
Action combat would be impossible due to server lag. If the game was built to allow clients to communicate peer to peer in battle, it might be possible to handle real time action, but then players are at the mercy of their network connection far more than they are now. With the polling interval in FFXIV and the 2.5s GCD, the game buffers itself against the impact of network lag to a degree. Also, at lvl 60, your GCD is significantly lower than it was when you were level 1, and it will continue to get smaller.
Nice 2 year old necro.
I would quit instantly.As the title suggests.
-Pretty much every melee attack is aoe to some degree
-Ranged dps actually have to aim
-Animation locks on every skill (because we all love animation locks)
-Every class/job has a self heal, and dodge/block ability that you can use every 5-10 seconds
Would anyone prefer this over the traditional combat we have now?
That being said. Would ya'll stop bumping threads from years ago.
