ARR best solo DPS?

I did pretty good all the way to 60 soloing stuff on dragoon. But, I hear summoner is good if you end up needing to solo Fates as well.

I think i understand more what OP means.Unfortunatly for you OP this game is not like a Korean MMO.You can spend ages leveling only by fates i guess.... But in terms of rare items,armor equip etc you have to do dungeons plain and simple.And i don't mean solo.With other players.This game is team orientated.There's a lot of content you cannot complete solo.You can do some lower dungeons and one or 2 primals with uber gear once you are level 60 useing unsync but you can't get the gear you need to solo primals without doing dungeons.And lvl 51+ dungeons currently cannot be soloed by anybody.

The already mentioned BRD (kiting), SMN (pet) and WAR (high defense and offense) are the best choices in my opinion. Also consider that NIN can stealth past most enemies, and BLM can cast an AoE sleep for 30+15 seconds to walk right past a pack of enemies. All 5 jobs are great for fates, leves, sidequests, beastman dailies, relic grinding and hunt marks.

SMN or SCH , but since u level both at the same time

but if u a mob is for solo , u can solo it with any job anyway

Running about and quickly killing open world mobs --> Bard (MCH close)
Killing a bunch at once or something tougher / when you don't have space to kite --> SMN. (Takes longer to ramp up damage and has weaker filler but also has a tank and/or knockback/stun.)

After that, probably DRK / WAR.

Largest SMN advantage is queue time. It can always just swap to SCH, especially until Mind splits from Intelligence on gear (~lvl 42). Not solo content, but hugely worth considering.
