you complain quite expressly about poor drops of bomb ash in your opening post and most everyone in the thread has disputed this.

What exactly is the issue you are having?

You say this isnt a mob that is meant to be farmed, but it drops an item people need and the monster in an area in abundance (around 18 pops in nanawa)

Is there a quest that requests bomb ash that tells people to goto nanawa to farm these for bomb ash? if there is, it doesnt mean that nobody else should ever farm here, if anything its a little clue to player base "hey guy, you can get bomb ash here"

if theres something else, please exlpain and i'll try to answer as best i can

    ::EDIT::

sorry my post was slow im at work and it took a long time to write.

Just because a mob is a quest mob does not mean it can serve no other purpose. the nanawa bombs are for farming as much as anything else.
Yes i reallize now complianing about the crappy drop rates isn't the best idea in a opening post, you are correct they can be used to farm but there is a quest the also requires you to kill them and with the low server population you can do both but i doubt SE intended for a mob used for a quest to be the prime source of bomb ash more so when it's out of sync (the're all L30 as it's a L30 quest) with the new system, when the servers become more populated ppl farming ash from them is going to get in the way of ppl doing the quest.

I think as population goes up, and contention in that area for bomb ash goes up, and even more so as the need for bomb ash goes up. Then the price will follow suit, and bomb ash will become a potentially expensive levelling resource.

but as you have said, there are other locations for it, and whilst you may not be able to farm them yourself if you are a lower DoW level, then you're gonna have to buy it from someone who is.

sometimes you need items with a low supply and high demand to simulate a real economy and stimulate the synthetic one!

your lvl in relation to the mob has a lot to do with drops. You can make 40k and hour farming marmot pelts with a lvl 25 character on lvl 1-4 marmots. Attacking them with a lvl 40 you be lucky to get 4 pelts in and hour.

Level does not affect drops in any way.

If you can get another farmer out there in Nanawa to help you and split the drops, that would be optimal if you can't do these solo.

Really OP, the bombs in Copperbell aren't worth your time unless you're already L50, which I see by your info that you are. They do have about a 5%-10% higher drop rate than Nanawa if I remember right. Take a helper with you there as well, it's so much faster, and you can farm ants for the scales (scale glue) while waiting for bomb repops.

Unfortunately, steel has taken more of a front seat for BS in this patch, it's almost impossible to skip over it now. So if you are stuck in the dreaded 30's, you'll have to just suck it up and farm ash until 36-ish when you can start churning cobalt ingots.

FYI, if you think bomb ash is bad, try getting your hands on some aldgoat horns for any reason.

Punctuation is your friend. It deliniates the difference between "Let's eat, Grandma!" and "Let's eat Grandma!"

Steel no longer starts in the 30's it starts in the 20's although my original post was in part complaining about drop rates that wasn't really the issue i was trying to get accross and that seems to over shadowed the point of my orignal post.

And FYI Okiura, steel ingots start in the mid-20's, but you don't start using them on the new recipes as a mainstay until your 30's. You missed MY point!
