A coincidence .....or not? ( It has spoilers )

Im surprised nothing has ever make a topic or even a comment about it. Any way I guess im gonna do it xD
On my journeys across Dravania and re watching cutescenes on the in, I notice something really peculiar.

Take a look at this:

This Marcechamp, a chocobo hunter on Talifeather, we have meet him before( is he hunt leader? I dont know )


This guy is one of the 12 knight of eld, we just know him as "Brawny Knight" . We saw this on our echo vision.( No name showed )


I know I know, this could it be a hole coincidence, maybe the dev team doesnt have much of imagination and by accident they made 2 faces 100% equaly ( I doubt it ). But maybe its not the case, remember when a lot of people found out that Lucia was a Garlemand lot before it was revealed on the game.

If this turns not to be a coincidence, is really interesting. Maybe a descendant? I dont think that either, why? Beacuse everyone on Ishgard are descendants of the Thordan and the 12 knights, is possible that could appear someone that looks so similar?

Ok, maybe super I'm wrong, I dont know lol.
What are your opinion guys?

It's more likely that he's a direct descendant of that Brawny Knight.
We know that Elezen as a whole have slightly extended lifespans compared to the other races, but definitely not by a thousand years (and still keep their youth).

If not, and if he and the Brawny Knight are indeed the same guy...then that brings up the question as to how did he survive and maintain his prime after a millennia?

To be honest, I thought the 'Brawny Knight' of the Knights Twelve in that Echo scene was actually meant to be a reference to the tavern the 'Forgotten Knight' in Ishgard, as it makes perfect sense (after all, the Brawny Knight clearly mentions laying down his sword and shield and taking up an "honest trade, like serving ale."

So if anything, I think he was the original founder of Ishgard's tavern, explaining it's name, because after all, his name truly was forgotten - it wasn't even mentioned in the Echo (although given the fact Clan Centurio is based out of there too, maybe... there might be more to this along your idea as well!).

He has the same scar. could it be that it may have something related to the fact he ate one of the great dragon's eyes ?

besides the ear clip I think the brawny one has a bit smaller ears. the chin looks different as well but could be related to the angle.

It's probably just a coincidence.

Aside from the 1000 year time difference, Marcechamp has brilliant teal eyes, while "Brawny Knight" has eyes that are indistinguishable. Even though the grainy Echo filter, that color would stand out. It's probably just a coincidence brought out by a limitation of the character creator, or perhaps a subtle hint that Marcechamp is intended to be a direct descendant of "Brawny Knight."

Or maybe being a direct drinker of Ratatoskr's essence made "Brawny Knight" immortal, and he now hangs out in Tailfeather as a chocobo hunter. Probably not, though. (Chances are someone would have noticed, I'd bet...?)

You could see the third eye under her circlet if you looked at her from Lalafellin height.

They say that the ser who built this tavern was happy to be forgotten. “Rather serve ale instead of steel.” Had a way with words, he did─and with women. But that's a story for another time.

The "way with the women" that's a "story for another time" might be a nod to the guy at Tailfeather...

Or they just have very similar models coincidentally.

The similarities between the gentleman at tailfeather and the Brawny Knight I believed to be character creation limitations.

My point was that on this game we have always found tips that have being hiding in plain sight. Tips that may revealed something on future content.
Lucia was just an example.
