If i get that as a tank in my roulette i make sure they know i'm OT just to make sure it is done properly, i've explained so many times exactly where it needs to be pulled to, 9/10 the OT tanks it where it spawns causing wipe and you get the lovely "What was that, Why we wipe?" to which i just goApparently a new trend is not dragging Fullmetal Faust out of the lava during the Refurbisher fight (Alexander 9), because I've gotten four groups in progress this week with the same problem. Somehow the fight goes just fine once someone actually does the mechanic properly. Who knew?

Depends. If you're getting a decent amount of gear that way, it's perfectly fine! Tome gear's a good starting point (note also that you can enhance it fairly easily to i400, by buying upgrade items for 100 tomes a piece). But if you're barely getting anything by the time you're in the 75-76 range, it's time to get some gear from other sources. Even if you still have that one i390 headpiece or a random pair of i395 earrings hanging around at 77, that's usually fine, so long as your other gear can make up for it. Weapon especially is important to keep up to date.
Haukke Manor shenanigans again.
Tank screeches in chat to give them the player commendations because they only need one more for the mount.
Well, that takes them completely out of the running for my player commendation, even IF they are Hydaelaen's gift to tanks. (They aren't, surprise surprise - they sprint around, they chain-pull constantly, they don't even wait to let the newbie view cutscenes.) The healer is the one pulling 99% of the time so they won't get my commend either.
I walk out with two commendations and I'm kind of praying the tank didn't get theirs.![]()

Not succumbing to groupthink since 1991. | Lalafell aren't kids or child-like, and I do not care what your opinion is on that point.
Had a BRD a couple days ago decide that they were the tank in the Burn and pulled nearly every pack before me, even though I was wall-to-wall pulling already. Guess it wasn't fast enough?? They'd also leave enemies when they were at 30%ish HP so they could sprint to the nearest wall to get to the next pack sooner. And no, they didn't continue to attack the enemies despite being ranged, they just ran off. Most obnoxious dps I've ever dealt with. I didn't say anything though since it was 4am (yes, they were speedrunning at 4AM) and I was too tired tgaf.
Oh and that same run I pulled first pack without Grit on, kept wondering why I couldn't keep aggro until about halfway through.... whoops. ^^
Playing my alt, got stuck in MSQ where I needed another level to pick up the next quest. So I reluctantly queue up for Aurum Vale. Watching the cutscene, I say to my husband “watch someone leave this dungeon.. it’s probably going to be me.”
Honestly I don’t remember the jobs, I think the tank was a PLD. It’s Aurum Vale so I’m sure everyone can imagine how the first wipe happened. Regardless, I said to my husband “it feels like this tank is made out of paper” as I am having to spam Cure II to barely keep him alive. So I got a second to check his gear (he’s level 48 or 49 so I’m not expecting anything amazing) - lo and behold, it’s mostly white NQ level 20-30 gear with chest & boots from Brayflox. Queue me yelling out loud “yo it’s time to buy vendor gear, what are you doing in a level 47 dungeon wearing level 30 armor!”
For good measure, I check to see if he’s new maybe? No, multiple level 80s including warrior. After we wipe on the first boss because no one is dodging or eating the fruit I just silently leave. I hope their dungeon never filled and they had to abandon. :/
Well, was running PotD with a few fcmates to get his monk to 50. Somehow our discord conversation while we were on floor 72 went from zefrank1's Ogre-faced spider video to wang-shaped buildings we sometimes end up building in a few other games.
One of them (leveling his arcanist to 30) idled for a bit at the start of floor 74 to pull up this hilarious tweet that he somehow managed to find of a building somewhere that's genuinely shaped like a wang and posts it to each of our pms. Neither of us noticed it until our mnk finally decided to look at his pms and saw it when I had went into another room to go get chests, pull mobs together for aoeing and popped a witching pomander. Our arc had followed me after realizing I had run off and was having trouble in the room, and I suddenly heard our mnk laughing from the distraction.
Despite me popping HG, my cooldowns and Clemency, I died because our mnk was distracted with the tweet. The second I died the mobs started to chase after our arc, to which our mnk realized that I be ded. After our arc died, he nearly died but survived and got us back up.
MNK: 'Oh shit I'm so sorry guys, but this building, I can't...'
ARC: 'Admittedly that was a poorly timed link.'
Me: 'And you thought my cities looked like fields of d*cks.'
While we finished the climb to 100, got his monk to 50, and nearly maxed out our aetherpool levels, we have found a new way to potentially cause wipes: send them poorly timed links. So...minor PSA: if it makes you laugh, don't send it in the middle of a run.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
I do this in FC chat. Pug groups for that, have little sense of humor because they don't want to be there.
Speaking of the praetorium(Nero really is the only good thing about that "raid"), guy is trying to preach to me the importance of the "monster xp" you get when I said most prefer castrum because it's shorter. He goes on to say that I will be wanting that xp later and I had to burst his bubble by saying I have several jobs over 60, 4 at 70, and almost 4 at 80(he bragged about having almost 6 so..) and I only started doing MS roulette this year because my friends were doing it and didn't want to go in alone. Thereby indicating that I never needed nor wanting that "monster xp" from MS roulette. He said nothing else afterwards. Praetorium can be up to 40min long.. I could do a couple of fun dungeons in that time and while not nearly as much xp, I don't have to set through 100yr long cutscenes with 1 guy mad@cid and another guy dying his armor gold.

Even with the enhanced Scaevan gear, level 70 tome gear will leave you at i399 because you can't equip two enhanced rings of the same variety. Annoying, but nothing to be done about it because you can't equip rings from any of the other sets either.Depends. If you're getting a decent amount of gear that way, it's perfectly fine! I usually make Sting jokes during that speech...it absolutely demands it. But a week or so ago I had a run in which some guy kept trying to turn one liners into factual discussions about Lore. Booooring! MSQ cutscenes should be Rocky Horror or MST3K at this point.
