Then we wiped, due to lacking healing.

Tbh, that fight is designed so a healer can enter if he/she wishes. You can easily solo heal it since the boss slows down a ton I have done it multiple times myself as a healer. So it was most likely just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Well I found this more funny than annoying to be honest.... Bismark Hard, people having difficulty dodging, and struggling with dps checks (though you could see people trying, things were getting faster), third phase the dodging went to pot, people were getting knocked off the platform (despite myself and SCH asking if anyone needed tips on strategy if it was your first time)... I don't expect perfection and it's fun to learn and progress and try but one dps goes "where are the heals?" I mean, what the heck?! Both SCH and I were healing AND dpsing and keeping up with heals even if everyone else was getting smacked from pillar to post and knocked off LMAO not even jesus could save you!! And guess who was left standing? Just me (WHM) and the SCH pmsl... funny as hell, and the SCH goes "we running out of mana because you lot can't dodge for ****". I was creased up XD

I just had the best run in the diadem ever. I would say that for the most part it was a regular diadem did fates, complete objectives and collected reward. Well as soon as we get are reward the dino pops, party heads over there waiting for other parties to show up. Only one other party shows and their tank doesn't really wait and just goes for it so the battle begins. We get him to about 3/4 when ast dies. I raises ast and then I immediately die to burn status, next thing I now my entire party wipes. We regroup and wait for the other party arrive again and possibly more parties. We get down to 10mins and second party appears to of given up but luckily another party shows. We start going at dino again this time doing better and for the most party we're all decently heals when he aoes and instant wipes both parties again XD. We start posting some surprised and sad faces and joke how we may need more healers. We get back to dino and only have 5 minutes left, 4 party members are healers now and with so little time no other parties are willing to help. We know it's a lost but decided to just go for it anyway. This time we last longer then we have this entire time get him down to 1/4th and time runs out. We failed be he had laughs and everyone was in good spirits. The run might seem like a bust for some but for me it was the best run I've had just because of my parties attitude

This was also the first run where the dino wiped everyone. I was pretty surprised by it.

You know what I'm really tired of?
People in PF getting c*cky af about alexander savage being a faceroll since echo.
While I agree its really easy, it's still PF and you dont know people, their experience and playstyle etc.


You know these people who enter a PF on a class, they dont main, but want gear for? All fine with me,if you do a decent job.
Lets just say...it seems to be a thing for people to join a12s PFs on their scholars, they seem to have no clue how to play.
(kinda like: Hey, I want healer gear but Im not a good healer...Ill just come as off heal and...do something for easy kills)

Well, let me tell you this: does a scholar without melds and with a zurvan weapon and a shire chestpiece, whos in a12s look like a main to you?
You know? No accuracy.....no Alex weapon, no alex chest.............hmmmmm? Looks more like someone who is hoping to get heal gear drops
he can need on instead of farming books for it.

Well, if you: fail to do any crit adlos EVER, cant properly control your fairy, do less dps than me as the main heal while at the same time,not even providing that many heals, fail to shield on time when its actually useful, fail to dish out an Indomitability and/or virus before the boss' Holy AoE AND
leave the ressing of people that YOU failed to keep alive to me (in case you know the fight: scholar failed to keep his designated prey target alive at the beginning of the fight), then you dont belong here. At all. And
then I tell people to replace that person because that was far from "aw, he just screwed up once"...that was a "I dont know how sch works" par excellence performance. And these people make us wipe.
Farm party means farm. And the worst thing is when people actually agree with me and the PF lead is like "lets try again" ..............................................................

You wanna keep that leech? Alright. Have fun wiping, I'm out. That performance was beyond horrible that I can safely say that the scholar isnt gonna change miraculously
on the next attempt.

This is about the 5th or 6th leech scholar I've had lately when trying to farm a12s. It's like...every time I go for a12s farming, I need to go through like 2 leech scholars before I get a good one.
I'm instantly on red alert without any tolerance or patience when I see those. Farm parties is not where you experiment with classes you dont know.
I heal the vast majority on a12s on my own. That SCH is there for mainly dps and support with fairy, few timed shields, Virus/Eye, and ressing when needed.

Ty for the reminder. But don't worry, that won't cause me trouble. There are other ways to assess, albeit not nearly as accurately, the dps of DPS in a party by only using tells in the game. And that's exactly what I did before saying that. So no worries.


I was going to do that. After that final comment from the DPS, I was mid-way tiping my defense. How I LB3 ressed everyone, how I saved everyone with a deplyed adlo, how I ressed the other alliance's healers and how we wiped cause the DPS didn't kill the add before Full-Swing. But no. I was out of there before I could even defend myself.

definitely would said something earlier, I always do. Because saying something is not for the person you are talking to, it is more for the 6 others. The reply to this will weed out if it is a hivemind effect or premade harassment. Most of the time random people will side with you if you sound reasonable. However it is a different case if that person has others queued with them and that helps you have more conversation for the GM to go by.

For the DPS thing, I do not think I seen a healer outdps bosses on prolonged fights like dun. (keep in mind i watch steams I do not use them myself) There is several reasons for this. A healer DPS is easier to compete by aoe, esp reality levels say like 50 for holy or 30 for bane. In long single target fights, as soon as you cast a heal it is a DPS loss because you can't cast DPS spells in that time. So you do a lot more damage say casting 3 dots > bane > heal then doing the same on single.

I seen a lot of horrible players where I am easily the top dps from aoe, but I lose it on boss fights for ^ reasons.

In the end my concern for you is reporting them and saying something earlier about what you are doing next time. Did you report them and plan on doing that in the future?

So i finally had one of these that i had to share. I que expert roulette, land in sohm al hard. Im thinking good, this dungeon is usually a little smoother with random people then the wall and who doesnt like an easy smooth run? So right away i could tell this wouldnt be normal. Me, healer(whos class im blanking on for some reason), DRK and DRG appear at the top of the hill. Healer casts protect, and we are ready to go. Tank isnt moving. I take a couple steps forward thinking it may get him going. Healer does too. We're both kinda dancing around at the top of the hill, going forward a step or two, turning and looking, just unsure what to do. A minute later tank slowly walks to the edge of that top platform, then stops again - goon still hasnt moved an inch. Another minute goes by, and i finally ask if theres a problem. Dragoon responds that tank is busy grabbing food(its possible i have these two backwards, but the idea is the same). So theyre together. Thats... encouraging. Maybe 30 seconds later everyone starts running down the hill. I say something along the lines of "No problem" as we start moving, because i dont want there to be a problem and of course i understand needing food. Right after you hit accept for a dungeon que isnt the best time to go, but whats done is done.

So groups were pulled almost normally aside from 2 things. The tank doesnt have them positioned to get the vulnerable debuff from the steam geysers, and one of the big plant guys is extra far off to the side so that i cant include him in my aoes. As the fight goes on, i also notice said plant guys head is snapping around like he doesnt know where he wants to look. Then it dawns on me. The goon is tanking one of the plants seperate from the pack of everything else, and the tank is completely ignoring it. Fight goes slow as you would predict, since the healer cant help as much as he would probly like having to keep both of them up. This pattern repeats during almost every trash pull in the entire dungeon. The dragoon picks a mob he wants to solo, and pulls it aside a little bit to dance with. And even on the pulls that he doesnt do it, he doesnt use a single aoe the entire run regardless of the number of mobs. Just picks a target to focus on, usually keeping heavy thrust up(but not always), and goes through what i assume is the basic combo(not a class i know super well).

We make it to the first boss, charge in. Everything seems normal, but i notice pretty early into the fight that even with quelling strikes on cooldown im competing with the tank for aggro. I didnt look at his gear, but he's swinging a kinna weapon(its possible this was a glamour - as i said, i didnt look) which isnt that far behind the 260 stage of my anima that i havent finished yet(at least i dont think it is). He's in his tank stance, but i dont know DRK well enough to know if he's doing his stuff optimally. I give hate back for real when i dont notice the proximity marker behind me, and one of the big bulbs detonates me for 95% of my health. Healer gets me back up as quickly as he can, we finish the fight(with the dragoon dead on the floor). Ive never died to this guy before, so im now way too embarrassed to say anything about the way the other two are playing. Just power through, short dungeon, it cant be too bad right?

More slow trash pulls since one dps is playing his own game, get to the next boss. Same as before, my hate is shooting up even during my opener while my one aggro skill is still active. This boss, the tank is moving all over the platform in a way ive never seen anyone do before. Whatever, im a turret. I dont have to chase him down, i just have to stay close enough to land fire 4's in rhythm. So by the end of the fight my camera angle is completely borked up, and im now trying to look at skills being used to see if the two of them are at least using the few i do know from their classes - all while doing my best not to miss a beat on my own damage. Anyone whos tried to focus on too many things at once knows what comes next - i eat a giant flaming cone and this boss whos never even hit me before has now killed me. I apologize to the group while waiting for res(i also realize that im more tired then i thought at the start of the run, and vow to go to bed after). Healer gets me back up(right around the time that the goon dies to an avoidable attack), i help finish it off.

Last set of trash pulls, more of the same. Scorpion time. Right away, i see we're using a strategy ive not yet encountered. Rather then pulling to the far side of the platform, the tank is grabbing the bug and making a hard right to tank at that edge of the surface instead. This happens to be right near where i usually set up my first ley lines to be in my range and out of his, so i improvise a new position while he's getting the guy faced how he wants. Start burning. Hate shoots up again. I notice that dragoon and tank both seem to be having trouble dodging his molten silk attacks. As the first set of adds comes out, i see that the dragoon is a little slow switching targets and one of them finishes his hole just before i drop him - thats not the end of the world but certainly not a good sign. Keep fighting, and i fully pull aggro from the tank shortly before the 4 add hiss. I use the caster LB to drop them all, and the healer manages to keep me even though im now tanking the boss until he hits his deadly thrust on me. At no point during the 15-20 seconds that ive had aggro was the tank even close to getting it back, and when i fall the scorpion actually switches to the dragoon next. So wild unchecked aggro leads to a wipe. Run back. Im ready for whatever weirdness is heading my way. This time fight goes almost smoothly. We've built back the limit, so i use it on the 4 add hiss again to keep everything in check. They continue to struggle a touch with the molten dodges, but everyone stays standing thanks to a herculean effort by the healer. I slow down just a touch on my spells, and the tank seems to have stepped up just a bit too, so i dont take aggro this time. Boss goes down. I quickly commend the healer, and run to the door. He also seems to leave in a hurry, and i notice 1 commendation as im zoning out. Same thought perhaps? For the next 5 seconds i consider what i could quickly run to cleanse my palette, then think better of it and log to get some sleep(after checking my contacts list and confirming that the dragoon and tank were from the same server, while me and the healer were from elsewhere). Why tempt fate right?

Oh, and because i thought it was funny. The dragoon was wearing his combat mentor crown. Because of course he was.

Ran Dun Scaith the other night with an FC mate and it was a rough run because of raid-wide idiocy. We'd just wiped at Scathach because the raid ignored mechanics and adds and invited another FC mate to join in progress as dps dropped. He got onto another alliance, but we went back in and got past Scathach.

So we get past Diabolos. Then I guess half the raid went afk, because the gate got so little damage on it, the beam hit it and exploded, killing the raid.

I didn't even know you could wipe there...

As we're returning and heading back, a vote kick gets pulled up on my FC mate. So far I'd been main tank and he'd been main healer. He used a few macros in alliance chat, but he was far from the only one, and he didn't say anything against anyone in our party. So I voted no and told them "if you kick him, I'm leaving." Somehow the vote dismiss got rejected.


Round two of Diabolos, we cleared it, but it was painful, the raid was playing round robin healer raise, and all three of us tanks died and had to be raised at the very end. We ended that one with the battlefield littered in bodies.

Moral of the story: don't wait for Saturday to run Dun Scaith. And make as much of a premade as possible.
