I had an AWESOME run of cutter's cry last night.Friend was leveling his MNK and I queued as a healer on my lvl 52 SCH. I didn't really have anything else I wanted to play at that level range. So we get another monk and a paladin. Both the other monk and the paladin are texting or being distracted by something, I don't know, but they both die on a trash pull because AOE. I swiftraise the tank and heal everyone up, we don't actually wipe. After that, the tank and the other monk were like, we'll pay attention now, and I was like, you know what, that was not a big deal. It actually made my life kinda fun because I had to try.

After that, the Tank is popping cooldowns and doing a really awesome job. Add my Adlo and she's not taking hardly ANY damage at all, which means DPS time for me. We're joking in the chat and generally just having a blast. It was a happy run. Over the course of the Chimera fight I had to raise everyone at least once and I had to raise the friend I queued with like four times. It was REALLY intense, but we cleared the first time and we had a BLAST doing it. At least I did. Got both the pick-up's comms.

Moral: People can die and the run could not be 100% perfect speed run and it could still be SUPER fun with awesome people, just have to roll with it.

Had a crybaby tank last night in my A4 run. The run started with him saying "I hope you all know the fight, I'm tired of wiping today". Of course, we wipe once to the dolls in second phase. Instead of specifying what went wrong and what to do he says "Just kick me guys, please". No one kicked him, instead he decided to disconnect himself from the instance in hopes that we would. We said screw it and pulled without him.

He popped back in and out of the instance multiple times as we were doing it, waiting for us to kick him/wipe. When he saw we had made it past dolls, the jackass decided to finally contribute and even took MT. We cleared the instance and everyone was like "Now kick the tank". Unfortunately the loot chest was opened before we had the chance and the worst part was he even won a shaft from that run. x_x

The only good thing that came from that run was we got him killed on purpose by not covering his lasers after he decided he wanted to come back and "help". Screw that guy >_<

Ignoring the two level 15 gear you listed (since the person you responded to said (paraphrased) "no tank gear before level 15"), those are actually counted as lancer/dragoon gear -- note the lower Mdef on them. Tank gear always has the same Def and Mdef.
That said, they're still unavailable to a rogue =)
(Then again, he should still have some from before that tier, from all the quest rewards... Or, if he went for the money instead, there's plenty of gear to buy from the vendors in the three cities. So yeah... It's about as annoying as tanks running around in cowls, thinking their protection is adequate >.<)

Actually, there is one tank piece before level 15. Custom-made Cuirass at level 5. (Also, coincidentally, the one tank piece that disregards the "equal Def/Mdef" rule.)

(And I'm pretty sure the Adventurer's Earrings are limited, too, if not 1.x. I've never seen them, at least.)

But I did put 'tank' in quotes since the gear is technically 'medium' armor, and wearable by lancer.

Had a run in Labyrinth of Ancients last night where none of the six tanks wanted to pull the final boss...so a Dragoon started doing it. He was doing a decent job until a tank finally took it off him.

That whole LoA run was a shitshow. Multiple wipes - a wipe at 3/4 boss encounters - aggro fights, dps going to the wrong places even with waymarks. My alliance did decently at least and we handed out compliments to each other before we all left, and I was running AST and the other healer was a cute Lala AST so we had a good time playing off one another.

Running Aery on my lv55 WHM with a WAR friend and two monks. During the second boss fight, the lalafell monk ran into EVERY SINGLE toxic cloud, the miqo'te monk got some stacks too, and I was running low on mana while my MP regen was on cooldown. So, everyone was incredibly low on health, and then the lalafell monk complained about me not removing the disease debuff that slows your movement down.
I'm sorry, but if people are close to dying and I don't have many MP, I certainly won't use them for removing a non-lethal debuff...

Had that happen a while back with a DPS who wanted to leave. He came back a solid 40 minutes later, (there were other reasons we were still in there after that long), and complained that we hadn't kicked him, despite the fact that he would have easily been done with the penalty by then if he had of simply left. It's a personal annoyance to me when people decide that their time is more important than helping a group, despite the fact that they qued up for DF group content.....

I'd rather wait a person out and attempt to clear something short one member than kick someone out simply because they don't want to do the content.

6. I am the dps that will stand in shit I know I can survive, because it ups my dps. That 2 seconds it takes a healer to heal me, saying " I could be dpsing instead of healing you " is a mute point, because the 2-3 spells I get off due to not moving = your dps the entire fight.

7. I am the tank or dps that would like you to learn what the fuck ensuna is.

I am the healer that won't 'ensuna' you because I don't cater to people who ignore mechanics. You get a regen if I am on a WHM or AST, or get to live on the whim of my faerie if I am a SCH.
