I wouldn't have minded if he was just pissed that I didn't "do it right". That wasn't the case.
I fantasia too much to stay one race anyways.
Achievement Unlocked: LOLGOON
I spent 75 minutes in gubal normal. As a pally I did more dps than everyone and the group could only handle singlet pulls.
I've not had a run in which I was internally screaming the whole time in a long time. I'd had eaten a penalty if I hadn't seen there was 1 new person (dps)
Were the dps just auto-attacking or something or just doing their flashy moves without the combo build up? Thats just....wow :cI spent 75 minutes in gubal normal. As a pally I did more dps than everyone and the group could only handle singlet pulls.

Everyone needs an internet hug every now and then.
That's what makes it awful. They were using skills and being flashy but the results were so ubderwhelming.
The party comp was PLD BRD WHM and NIN
On the first pull (a 2 group pull I usually do to test the dps and healing ability of the party) I ended up having to pop all my tank cool downs and healing myself. The WHM -somehow- ran out of mana and the NIN seemed to mostly do flipping? I haven't played the class so don't know the significance of the animation.
It took 37 minutes to clear just the first miniboss. To give an idea of the pacing. And yhey dps was so slow it was probably possible that we could have used an lb twice on the first boss.... not that I'll ever know because noone seemed to listen to me to use it.
(By the by, my official stance on lbs are that it is use it or lose it. Unless there's a specific mechanics that requires the lb... don't hesitate to use it on huge pulls to clear trash for example )
I could use that virtual hug
Nothing to add today other than that is the best sig I have seen in a while, Naesaki.
Just had a run of the Vault with a healer who kept spamming cure 3 on single targets and otherwise pissed away their mana We managed to wipe on the first boss because the healer was out of MP, and this was with me on BRD even singing battle voiced ballads. We tried to inform them that cure 3 is inefficient and should only be used for healing the whole group after a party stack mechanic and that they should use cure for most stuff and cure 2 when big heals are needed. They weren't having any of that, just kept spamming away, and we wiped again. All through this, they never said a single word, and after the second wipe they left the party.
Best part? They had multiple level 60 jobs.
Thankfully we got a replacement SCH soon after who did a great job, and proceeded to smash the rest of the dungeon.
Feels like I've posted about this exact person before... nice to see they haven't learnt anything.
In other news, there are no words to describe the sinking feeling you get when MTing Dun Scaith, getting Doomed, and watching your healers being too busy healing scratches to cleanse you, forcing the BRD to save you with Warden's Peaen (before succumbing to Doom themselves). Or watching BOTH your healers dying to Doom themselves. Or having one of them say "lol i always forget about doom".
This is the kind of thing that makes you realise you shouldn't be MTing. And I'm sure there were a lot of people in the other two alliances who were pissed at me for not MTing when I was a PLD and the other two tanks were not, but at that point, one of the WHMs in my party was down to 11k max HP due to Brink of Death, and the other kept dying to the mechanic of the moment. So while the SMN had to serve as the backup resser, and the BRD fed us a steady stream of MP, I had to serve as the poor-man's third healer/shielder instead of tanking throughout the rest of the dungeon. It was all very inspiring, watching a bunch of people come together to compensate for a pair of healers who kept dropping like flies to the simplest of mechanics. Our DPS was awful, but we survived!
