When your already in a bad mood and want to relax, being told to shut up isnt exactly something you want to hear.
If they were just auto-attacking, they possibly were. Patience is not always a virtue.
Related, fastest run I ever bailed on was the first pull, WHM went to grab more mobs, I asked them not to, they asked why, I explained why not (dps comp didn't support), and I can't remember what they said in response but then I said if they were gonna be like that I was happy to leave. They said "bye" and I was outta there.
Not in the mood to put up with that b.s.
I see you're dps in need and I raise you a better dps in need (all be it a while ago now)
Got A7 in mentor today,,, couple of people said they were new so I marked the jails and said in A don't move or attack or you die. in B kill the add. in c kill the add in d stand on the goop...
somehow 6 of the 8 party memebers ended up in A. just me and a monk left doing the fight. they all died running around trying to get out. though to be fair probably wouldhave anyway I doubt we could have dropped the lock in time...
second attempt repeated the DONT move or attackif you get taken to a. this time 2 people ended up there the rest ran away from the marked dude... both running around trying to get out. and dead... one of them them bitched for not getting healed... we told you not to move......
at one point both healers ended up in d but somehow managed to pull through and clear it.....

Snowcloak. I generally like this dungeon. HA.
First pull, I grab a couple packs to see how this group is. I get my answer when I eat the floor through most of my cooldowns (fatfingered and couldn't hit HG). This AST is 60, so there's no reason for him to not be able to heal me through this, but okay. I'll single pull. I notice he's not using any cards or Cleric Stance (What IS he doing? Helios. Lots of Helios.) The NIN isn't using Huton, and he's dropping Doton on single-target fights. The BLM was the only one in the group even remotely playing their job correctly.
Eventually, I asked the AST "Are you drawing cards?" He gave me a Bole on the next pull. That was the first and last card he played that dungeon. Every dungeon I run just gets me closer and closer to quitting this game out of frustration.
Edit: I thought that would be it for the evening. I ran Aurum Vale and was proven very wrong.
I have now met a level 55 Rogue. Not Ninja, Rogue. He was as good as you would expect. But, the really sad thing was that he was top DPS. The BRD we had was doing less damage than I was in Shield Oath. At least the ROG was beating me. Eventually, the ROG apparently DC's. We do one more pack, and the BRD leaves. I've just about given up on humanity, when 2 angels show up to fill their spots. We cleared the rest no problem, SUPER fast. I'm so happy and sad at the same time. ;_;

I lost the game today.
I'm not allowed to win and there is nothing left for me to do.
I just wanted to say: It does not matter how long it takes the hardcore grinders to get the 240 relic done. It matters how long it takes the casuals to do it.
When life gives you lemons, cry yourself to sleep, and tell all your friends.
13 days until umbrite nerfs.
Right after I posted my happy story yesterday, I ended up in a frustrating group.
Was doing leveling roulette as my low level healer and ended up in Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak.
Everything was going fine until about halfway through the dungeon. The bard decided that the tank wasn't pulling fast enough and periodically interjected with "Tank can you pull faster you're not going to die".
The tank had to repeatedly tell the bard that he was pulling to his comfort level and that he had no tank stance at that level. The bard was the only one complaining, I had no problems with it.
Despite this annoying bard, we cleared the dungeon with no problems. The bard says "GG noobs" when the last boss dies. Tank retorts with "says the guy with no jobs at 60".
I was curious so afterwards, I looked up the bard, and sure enough, he had no jobs at 60.
Like if you're going to talk smack shouldn't you be able to back it up? =/
Of course right after writing this post, I got another frustrating group.
Leveling my healer again, did leveling roulette, got Ifrit normal. Had a sprout thaumaturge and sprout lancer.
Tank says hello and reminds the DPS to kill the nail. When it came up, he marked it, but the DPS weren't fast enough to kill it and we wiped.
Then the tank decides to act like a jerk and says things like "You know the nail? The thing I marked with a 1? You need to kill that" and then specifically starts yelling at the thaumaturge for not doing enough.
We kill it next attempt and tank says "Welp bye" and leaves.
Is it really necessary to yell at new players when they don't know all the fights? =/

Queued up for Expert today and I was the 10th tank in queue with my gf being the 33rd healer in queue. It took almost 5 minutes for the queue to pop. It was quite strange.
