I didn't say hello. I didn't comment when their healer immediately dc'd and we had to wait 5 minutes for them to relog. I didn't comment when the tank plopped down his salted earth on the first group of enemies, leaving the others just down the ramp alone. I did the only thing I could think of to get this to end on the third and fourth set of enemies; I plopped shadewalker on the tank and did what ninja's do best: pulling for other people. It didn't even go badly. They were bad, as my partner took pains to inform me on every pull, but the big pulls were not something they couldn't manage, on account of how you could big pull it on day one blindfolded with half your hotbars messed up from the patch's change to hotbar shapes.

Is this a thing now? Do you usually force tanks to do things they weren't planning because you feel like it? Do you know if they weren't new, or if it was his first time actually tanking the dungeon and wanted to know how exactly it ends up going? Because frankly, if you tried this on me, I'd be letting them attack you because you are not me.

He wasn't new, it's not a threatening pull, and they managed it just fine because it's an easy pull that is the standard that other tanks have set. If he was gonna go easy to get a feel, he didn't say so. It was a bit of a shifty move, but at that point, getting a kick for difference of playstyle would have been a mercy. Sorry to have upset you!

I think we have a troll tbh. So far I've seen her post stories in which she ignores basic dungeon etiquette (ignoring marks, forcing tanks to take pulls, etc), blames the rest of the party when they get peeved or things go badly, and then starts an argument with who ever comments on the behavior. :/ Seems like classic baiting to me at least lol.

There's another BRD I've ended up in several Dun Scaith runs with over the past couple weeks. Whenever Feridad uses debilitator, he aggresively runs around turning all the pools to the wrong color for whatever element we're weak to, ticking off the healers trying to get them right, ignoring repeated pleas to stop as well as all attempts to explain why. He's yet to cause a wipe but it's been close. Sad thing is, I really don't think he's trolling; he does just fine in everything else. I think he just honestly cannot understand what you're supposed to do there.

I had a great run of Baelsar's Wall the other day, I tank Ex roulette for the queue times but feeling brave with a BRD and BLM as DPS I decided to try take the first pull right to the gate. Turns out I can't do that and we wiped pretty quickly. Oh well, I apologised and took it slower, everything went fine until the second boss where I D/C'd at about 80% health. I manage to reconnect (they wiped) say sorry and then D/C again, this time my internet was down for about an hour so the poor party got left with no tank after 2 wipes. I felt so bad.

Side note: as others mentioned, that first pull in Baelsar's Wall is a pain in the ass.

One important thing to note is that for the first pull, the very reason it's precisely so hard to pull off is because the archers randomly throw windbite on party members, and they tick for like 1-2k. Which adds up to TONS of group damage. It's possibly one of, if not the hardest mass pulls to successfully pull off. Many healers don't know that the archers randomly target people, and thus blame the tank for not keeping aggro.

I've done it several times as a WHM, but that's only because I abuse the hell out of my many regens, esuna off the windbites if there's enough time to do it without the tank dying to burst, and use like every cooldown I have. I'm not sure it'd be possible for a Scholar or Astrologian to successfully do the pull unless the DPS know how to burst down the mobs before the damage overwhelms the healer.

I had my friend come on his ~i235 Astrologian he hadn't played for months. He got initially suprised by the windbites and I had to holmgang but then he just popped Lightspeed, healed me back to full and had no problem.

So for Astrologian it at least is easy.

Got chewed out for having bad DPS in another Zurvan farm. I don't know the numbers, but I do know that I disconnected(it was the kind where everything on screen hangs for a few seconds and I saw the icon on my head) during the fight and had to slow res someone who died from not doing meteors right. The person I res'd? The one who chewed me out after the fight!

I died from lack of heals too because both healers went down, but I had the courtesy not to rub that in anyone's face.
