At this point I notice that the tank and other dps have the same surname. And it all falls into place. Let me tell you, if two people show up in your run with the same surname and they're not both "woah, same name" at each other, RUN. Same surname couples are 100% awful every single time I've come across them. My FC collectively clenches whenever they roll something with a same-surname couple in it.

I'll have to echo this sentiment. I got a same-surname-couple (tank/dps as well) in a Wanderer's Palace HM a few days ago. I don't think I've ever seen that place take 30 minutes even on release, but my god were they just awful. When as the group healer, you're the top DPS in the group, there's a problem. The final boss took so long that the entire floor was covered in AoEs. It's even worse when at the end they're all like, "Gg ty for party," or some such drivel and you want to just direct them to go play in some heavy traffic. You just want to be like, "No that was anything but a 'gg' that was awful and you people are terrible thanks bye."

This makes me wonder how often people think me and my sis are a couple... (I stole her character surname while making mine because I'm uncreative, XD). Although I like to think we're not that awful. :S Coms don't exactly rain from the sky for us DPS, but I still get them fairly regularly lol.

Don't think it is so much thinking your awful but if they have the same surname they most likely are together will white knight the other and claim they can do no wrong. :S

lol I know, but I gotta say something because it's really foolish to make such a wide-sweeping generalization based on limited experience. I have yet to get a good WAR in a dungeon run, that doesn't mean I'm going to say all WARs suck, because I know there are good ones, unfortunately I don't get to play with them, XD you know what I'm saying?

I got Tam Tara normal earlier on my SCH.

There was a sprout arcanist in there who kept healing the party when I had Eos out and was using topaz carbuncle. I tried to politely explain to them that "Hey I started as Arc too and I know it can be a little confusing at first, but don't want to use Topaz when you have a tank it's a dps loss" and they started arguing with me about it all "thats not what it does it manages aggro" and kept using it anyways.

I'm a 264 SMN who's main'd SMN for a year and a half, but yes I'm sure your level 18 self knows more about the job than I do. Please continue correcting my scrub butt on how topaz carby works.

After the last boss I gave them a firm warning that if they kept doing that in higher level dungeons it's going to make people mad and left.

I remember when I was a lv 18 arcanist lol, I used Topaz to intill someone told me it was a tank pet lol, never knew that so I listened to them and apologized. I even remember thinking" Why is a sch here? Why would a high level be in this low lv dungeon" Can't believe how clueless I was back then, though whenever someone tried to help me out I would listen and take their advice to heart, I never got offended or anything.

The problem with the first Baelsar's Wall pull is that two of the magiteks tether randomly, so even if the tank has hate they'll continue to damage the tethered players; and the Garlean archers won't move unless you get hate and drag them REALLY far. It's a very messy pull and the tank and healer really need to be on point and coordinated with each other.

The archers will also use windbite and poison arrow on anyone who isn't already dotted, even if the tank still has primary enmity with them.

In the spirit of same name couples, this one is from my husband. He's running an expert on his monk alt and I hear him groan saying, "Great, two people with the same last name." I ask him for the names of the people and he goes, "Selli and Kall...estra Noblesse?" And I jump up and go "OMG SELLI!" before reassuring them that those two don't fit the stereotype. They actually know what they're doing. They beat the dungeon quickly and he gave her a comm.

Yo, tell your husband he is a legit Monk. He got both our commendations. I rushed in to pull the 2nd boss because I noticed he had his stacks and I didn't want him to drop them. Selli wasn't overly happy because she didn't get Stoneskin II off, but she didn't need to drop Cleric to heal that whole boss anyway. That was one of our smoothest Expert Roulettes ever. I was kinda hoping he was on Gilga so I could drop him a friend request, but Contacts window dashed that dream, lol.

(edit) And Selli says thank you for not thinking we fit the couple stereotype. We've ran into our fair share of bad couples, so we know why people feel that way when people see us. It is really nice to know that we don't fall into that same category (at least most of the time. I think we all have our good runs and bad runs).
