Took another whack at Sophia Bird. All my 50 something rolls are less than 20.
    Like seriously...

Finally, rolled a 96 on the bird. YAAAY~
But then someone rolled a 98. Eff my life -_- I rage quit.

I now have over 350 totem from Sophia and no birds.

"Dealing with it" involves talking with other players, to see if they're having difficulty or if they simply don't know better or care to know better. It can also involve removing a problem from the party.

Shutting up and hoping things won't get worse is not dealing, it is apathy.

It's apathy if you don't care, it's empathy if you don't mind. And reading the full LalaRu's comment, it seems to me it's more about not minding different way of playing and different level of efficiency than not caring.

If they do things a way different that I'll do if I were them, it is not my business, as long as they are doing their job, regardless the "efficency" of their dps or what else.

Yes, sometime it makes your duty more a struggle than a speedrun, but when I accept to go into a PUG, I also need to accept the consequences, as bad players, the so called "n00bs", and anything else. On the other side, if you are making a premade party, you have the rights to decide who and who not can stay in the party.

I cannot tell you how much I feel disrespected as healer, when the tank casts Protect themself when party still not ready and Protect must be redone because still some member haven't got it. I also feel the tank may had used that cross class slot for something else more useful for his role in a party. But I'll deal with it, just cast protect when it is time for it, and go do the duty.

I spent 7 hours yesterday in a party for Thordan EX. We cleared it all of twice. That's not what I'm annoyed about; it was a learning party, after all, and I learnt a lot about the fight. People came and went, but they did well, generally listened to advice, and carried out mechanics fine.

    All except for 1 guy.

    A DRK.

A DRK with an ilvl 255 weapon, ilvl 235 PvP gear except for bracelet which was 148, and rings which were 120 and 125. I did the maths. This guy was hovering around 210, and was trying to MT. Which might have been fine except for a few things:

    1. I, as a BLM, have an ilvl of 258. And I was only the 2nd-place DPS in terms of aggro. The person who kept getting aggro was the poor MNK who had no way of dumping it.

    2. This is a raid fight. PvP gear has no ACC.

    3. His gear was on the verge of breaking, and for some reason, he saw no need to repair even when his HP dropped from 25k to 21k.

I have never ever ever despised the stereotype of stupid edgelord DRKs so much.

Types of people in DF I hate the most:
    • Anyone who feels the need to tell and/or constantly remind everyone that you're high and/or drunk - What do you hope to gain? We're all going to forgive your screw ups because you consciously decided to log onto a game while inebriated and willfully choose a mode that forces you to cooperate with others to succeed? Yeah, because it's so fun carrying around dead weight.
    • People who use party and/or alliance chat to hold conversations with friends. God forbid you make a linkshell or use discord. I like to know if anything relevant is being said in chat, but it's hard to read in between all your erp.
    • Tanks who sit there when the duty starts assuming the other tank is going to tank when in reality the other tank is thinking the same about you. - Why queue as a role you don't want to do? Next time, I'm going to queue as a dps and not dps. I'm going to cross class physick and just heal.
    • DPS who have no idea how to use your 50-60 skills/spells, but still decide to queue for lvl 60 content anyway - Fun fact: the game gave you those abilities for a reason. You wouldn't believe what happens if you know how to use them.
    • DPS who wait until like 2% to use LB2 - Use LB2 as soon as it's up. It doesn't magically do more damage just because the boss has lower health.

Did a largeish pull in Sohm Al. We wiped, healer asked me if I popped any CDs (spread them all out, just noticed a lack of healing), told them I did.

Did a small pull of two mobs. Healer started using Gravity on two mobs, without Cleric Stance on....

Gotta love being coached by someone who is clueless about their own role on how to play yours, when you didn't make a mistake in the first place.

This one always confused me. If I am actually tanking something with multiple tanks (Rare, I'm a SCH main), I ask the other tank what they prefer to do. I don't tend to ask in 24-man, but more often than not I see tanks trying to just steal aggro, so I assume I am OT unless something else comes up (Or, obviously, I am asked to or needed.)
