I remember when "back and left" was apparently too complicated for people to figure out. I should've known that wouldn't be the limit of stupidity.

Now it seems that even the concept of looking at something to make it stop chasing you is too difficult to grasp for some people.

He not only called me noob, but also told me that Summoner didnt had anything about AoE besides Deadflare and Bane did not give Dreadwyrm stacks. He was certain because he had leveled Summoner to 55 in the PotD.

painflare and shadowflare are only single target abilities obviously. He was right about bane though in a very certain aspect. if you bane something that doesn't have a dot, then you don't get a stack...but yeah. people like that tank are why i'm always skeptical of people with padjali/kinna weapons.

Your bane has to connect with something that isn't invulnerable too. I've encountered people who didn't understand that you won't get a stack if you just bane the air before.

Yesterday when I was farming Sophia Ex on my AST, the other healer and a few DPS died due to neglecting mechanics. We had LB3 at this point, and normally I'm very calm about looking out for what mechanics are happening next in order to time the LB3 correctly. Unfortunately, I was definitely not focused because the new card speed was taking a lot of my attention and a DPS was telling me to LB3. So I thought to myself, "Ok, I'll LB after the tank buster." I popped LB3 just as Quasar went out and I was like "I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING", and then I realized that if I can't see the tethers, then no one else can... So I'm just sitting there in animation lock while I see everyone scrambling around the platform. XD I 100% admit that we wiped because of me, but there were signs during the run that it wasn't going to be pretty if we did clear.

I just have literally, not even once in many years of playing, seen a PLD do over 800 dps on ANY kind of content (and usually, it's closer to 400 and below, even in unsyced 50 content). I had heard rumors of the existance of stronger PLDs but thought they were just that, legends and fairytales x)

He easily out-dpsed the SMNs; and me (BLM) and the NIN had to work hard to stay ahead of him. Granted; I was 20 ilvl below him, but still. That's just crazy xD

This. A big problem still in the game. People can google a basic rotation (or read their tool tips). As a blm main, I do speak up. If they get offended I wait for them just to kick me :s

Some ups and downs with cross-server party finder today!

Doing guildhests on my AST, got the one with the turtle. Put on cleric stance, tank immediately says "I hope you die." Nice. Ignored him, single-handedly killed the fire sprite and ignited the herbs while everyone else was beating on the turtle. Tank still yelling at me to "turn off dps skill." I should note that I had to heal exactly zero times during the entire guildhest, so I don't know what he wanted me to do, just afk?

The Bard had just come back to game (he had the new icon for that) and was asking for advice on how to play so I could understand him being a little slow.

I believe he's referring to the fact that mages ballad is up for no reason.

I've been running into some BRDs who play Mage's Ballad or Army's Paeon as soon as the instance starts.. and it makes me wonder why..

Yes. Yes, it is.

PotD fights are not long enough or structured enough to properly learn a rotation or how many of your abilities work, unfortunately. Compound that with the insanely fast leveling inside, and you are getting new abilities faster than you can truly figure out how to properly use the ones you just learned a few minutes ago. If someone doesn't take the time to practice on a dummy or do other content on that job then they're very likely not going to know how to actually play it effectively.
