A11 runs before reset earlier today.. On the first run, i got in into warrior who complained to OT warrior for using butcher's block.. nobody said a word, and we cleared it..

On 2nd run, i met the same warrior who complained to another different warrior OT for using butcher's block, this time the OT asked what's wrong with it, much to the MT called it being a dps loss in a rather harsh way.. on prey blaster, the dps died followed by chaotic propeller wind caught one of the healer.. Soon after, only me, 1 healer, and both tanks were alive. Edd spawned and killed the OT. I used Bard LB2 on both cruise chaser and EDD. Unfortunately GA-100 target the healer, so me and healer died from it leaving MT with 1% cruise chaser..
Surprisingly enough, both MT and cruise chaser died at the same time.. after respawning, MT claimed that by using butcher's block isn't affected by storm's eye.. I corrected him, and left the duty with my 4th alexandrian spring

Reminds me of the time I was in sophia ex as smn and I had Resurrection right next to Titan, so instead of raising a player, I accidentally summoned Titan instead. I think I deserved it when I got knocked off a second later.

Titan and Shadowflare mix ups here. o/ Drat those spells you tend to Swiftcast. No time to fix fat fingering when you hit the wrong one. XD

I ended up moving my summons to a hot bar I deliberately have to toggle to to get to. Now the worst I deal with is starting to hard cast Garuda instead of Miasma - something easy to catch by the sound of the cast. Though now I find myself sometimes accidentally casting Blizzard II instead of Shadowflare.

Gubal Library Hard Mode ! Stupid tank that stay in AOE, waste CD, cry cause the healer can't keep him alive...

We kick him before the last boss. Black and White mage ask me (dragoon) if i want to tank the boss and try to kill it without tank.
We try, the White mage keep me alive i don't know how and we beat the boss without a tank !

What's wrong with this though? I run Wanderer's HM with Poetic equips all the time. I mean, that was the norm before HW. How was his weapon's level of any importance?

There's nothing wrong with it per se. But the DRG and I were synced down to the absolute max for 50, and the WAR was hovering around bare minimum, so he couldn't hold aggro if you handed it to him in a gift box. I'm also not sure whether he was using Unchained before boss pulls.

A Tank and a DPS left Garuda Normal in a leveling roulette. That's all that needs to be said..

I was in Halatali NM today as DRG and the CNJ was weird.

No one was a sprout, and no was new to the dungeon. I checked to see how new the CNJ was, and they have about four classes leveled, three over level 30. I don't want to seem like I'm picking on someone who is new but... they were using Medica a lot when only one or two people were hurt. I told them it's best to just use Cure in, like, 99% of all situations, especially this low a level. They didn't say anything... To that anyway.



I explained to them that Ruin and Stone have the same cast time... And that Ruin is terrible and useless.

I failed my team recently when starting my first DPS class. I thought I was doing well enough but as an acher a bard told me I wasn't using AOE enough on pulls. I'm sorry guys :/

A story not about Duty Finder but I recently took on Cancer the Crab with 4 mentors and some FC mates and it went well. I didn't think there were FATEs that beefy

It really depends on the size of the pulls, if you want to AOE or not. If the tank was pulling only 2-3 mobs, then yeah, you can AOE, or they may actually die faster by single targeting them down. It really depends on what your tank was pulling. You also don't want to AOE to the point that you have almost no TP.

Larger pulls are excellent for AOEing, because you will do more overall DPS. But if the pulls are only 2-3 mobs, single-target may kill them faster.

As a bard main, I'll help you out:

If the tank pulls 3 or less mobs, dot all enemies and single target. If there are 4 or more, make sure to straight shot for your critical hit buff, and quick nock. This reigns true past the time you get wind bite and all the way to 60 .

Now I know there was an argument a couple Pages ago about this very thing but when there is a large pulls should I be targeting what the tank is targeting or should I be using aoe and dots?

What is the most important thing when doing Dungeons and raids as a DPS? I understand the importance of understanding specific mechanics in mobs and what should be priority. But I somehow feel as though not doing enough.

I'm still cycling between the roles to try to decide what's best for me but I can never seem to please everyone all the time haha. Hmm
