ROFL whut!? My i236 PLD can do it, and with big pulls... tho it gets iffy depending on DPS gear. That... is just so much what.
The lengths people will go to to be as lazy as possible whilst trying to look like they are flawless and everyone else is terrible... /facepalmLast night, my FC leader and I were doing PotD. On one run, we notice one person (an AST) not doing a thing other than casting Aspected Benefic and using the /sit command. I ended up calling her out, and both her and the other DPS started to attack our skill as players.
Specific notes include:
-Insulting my character name
-Commenting on gear that showed up in Lodestone (we're supposed to log out in our main classes apparently)
-Calling us "scrubs" because neither of us had the gobwalker or A12S mount (they didn't either...)
On the boss floor, they both did nothing until my FC leader and I died, after we took out the majority of its HP alone.
No one could kick anyone either, since both them and my group queued duo.
You should have reported them to the GMs at the time, one might have stepped in and evicted those two idiots from your duty.
I was under the impression that it had to be all three members voting yes to go through; that you need *more than* 2/3rds of the voters to agree (which, in the case of 3 voters in a 4-man, is all 3). There have been people I've voted "Yes" to being kicked not being kicked in past 4-man duties.

Just wanted to add the story of some of the better runs I've had recently.
In the 91-100 floors of potd, we had this bard who had a +99/+99 aetherial set. So of course me as ast I gave them all the balances with all the time extensions I could get my hands on, and I got so many! Some floors I managed almost a 100% balance uptime! It was awesome as we (or rather the bard XD) just steamrolled our way through all the mobs and cleared in no time.
Then last night in brayflox normal, there was this sprout Paladin who started the first pull with no oath whatsoever, and totally lost all the aggro to all of us. I carefully suggested they put on sword oath as it would help at least a little, and they did and thanked me for the advice. Now, as a mentor, I of course took advantage of this rare opportunity and gave the sprout tank lots more advice throughout the dungeon - how to use flash, how to position mobs, etc. - all of which they took. We did wipe at the final boss because something happened on their end and they couldn't dodge the dragon's spit in time, but the second time it went off without a hitch. It was great. They had a good attitude and were a quick study, 10/10 would party with again.![]()
Just got Haukke Hard for 50 roulette.
I as AST, two Ninjas, and a warrior who seemed to be new as they watched the scene and there was a new person message.
No complaints about the tank, they did well.
I did nearly die on one of the pulls due to poppung a shield on the tank when he was going down the hall and I didn't see anyone... and everyone came from the rooms and aggroed onto me....
But I sprinted and kept myself, and the tank, up until he took aggro off me and I got it sorted out.
One of the Ninjas did a bit of pulling, wan't too fond of that, but the tank took the enemies pretty easily, I just had to heal that ninja a few times where I wouldn't have if the tank had gotten to pull with both stoneskin and aspected benefic on....
Nice big pulls, I would make sure the tank had stoneskin and aspected benefic up, and then lament I didn't have gravity... But I'm working on leveling AST...
Dps seemed prety good I think, at least the mobs tended to die pretty fast.
The big problem came on the final boss.... I was swapping over to dps the adds but...
The adds weren't dying quick enough.
The servitor popped, and he got to about half and she ate him...
I popped an aspected helios, and then got everyone back up...
Thought to myself... This isn't good...
The maidservants... again, about half...
And again I shield.... And aoe heal and shield through the two aoes....
The lady appears... Halfish life...
I shield...
She aoes....
Tank's at about a third
Both Ninjas die outright even with shielding....
I am at about 200 hp, and Essential Dignity is just about to come up....
Get myself and the tank back up and heal through the next phase until I get us safe before swiftcast raising the Ninja who wasn't pulling the stuff before the tank...
Manage to finish the boss after that.
But without nocturnal shields, that would have been a wipe.

What could have happened, is that the friend of the guy you were trying to kick didn't press any button, so the kick wouldn't be effective until 30 seconds have passed. But as others said before, it just needs one more "yes" in a light party to win. I've kicked people before when in light party with my bf and they all went through, even if the other 2 were together. So either your friend clicked "no" or you were in battle when attemting the kick.
I have another! Ampador Keep Hard.
Me on PLD, WHM, BRD, NIN. Looks solid. So, first thing I notice is the WHM isn't ever using DPS spells. Okay, that really sucks for our clear time. But, at least he's not AFK, right? Well... he's not really healing much, either. I didn't realize just how little he was doing until I died on the first boss through all of my cooldowns.
I used Hallowed Ground more in that dungeon than I have in any instance to date. On the last boss, HG almost wasn't even enough to keep me alive. I went with no healing for almost the full duration of it! I could not, for the life of me, figure out what this guy was actually doing. I would have kicked him, but Healers don't normally queue in progress, so it would have left us up shit creek.
I just... I just want to run dungeons with people that care enough to actually play the game. Is that so much to ask? ;_;
So my brother and I were just berated in Haukke Manor HM for the last boss (after a flawless run) because my 54 DRG (that I have no idea what I'm doing) can output more dps than an experienced 60 SMN, even with the level sync, and because a DRK apparently needs all the Spires he can get (instead, of you know, the DRG). And don't forget the insults because I chose to not even respond to the asinine idiocy of the SMN and AST. But watching that AST (when I main as one) made me want to reach through the monitor, take his fluffy Miqo'te tail, and hack it off with a piece of glass.
Castrum Meridianum, oh how we love thee.
Is it honestly too much to ask for a tank that actually knows what they're doing in there? That knows which packs have to be pulled and cleaned, and which mobs can be left alone because they'll run off once we touch the searchlights? That actually pays attention to the healers' gear levels and doesn't try to pull everything from the entrance to the first boss with healers in ilvl 90 job gear?
I gave up tanking in there, because even if I know what to do and MT, the other tank inevitably decides they want to help pull a completely unnecessary pack as I'm dealing with a pull. And if it's not the other tank, it's the rest of the party being stupid.
Yeah, I know Castrum is old, faceroll content. Doesn't mean you're guaranteed a 20-minute run if you choose to play like an idiot in there.
I probably shouldn't be, but I'm still surprised at how many people manage to wipe at Ozma, especially to the meteors mechanic.
Here's a little protip for when someone messes up metor placement: move. Yup, that's it, just move. Whenever someone messes up meteors, I don't know why people just stand there on the platform like they're not about to receive a billion damage. If someone drops a meteor where it shouldn't be, that means the area where it should be is relatively safe now and you should just move there to take as little damage as possible. Heck, even if everyone somehow manages to screw up the meteors, there should still be places where you can stand to remain safe.
I know keep up aggro, rotations, and heals can be hard, but imagine how much easier that would be if you were actually alive to do it.
