I kept telling him the Gauss barrel did more damage

Was the MCH level 53 or 54/synced? Gauss Barrel on its own is usually a net loss because it also stops auto-attacks (which are actually a fair bit of DPS); the only exception to this being when spamming AoE, the bonus AoE damage outweighs the loss of single-target AA damage.
Gauss Barrel really only becomes useful later on down the line, once you have the skills that can only be used with it; same deal with Wanderer's Minuet. If the MCH was level 53, then them not using Gauss is fine (afaik).

Big fail in Void Ark on AST today. During the Irminsul fight, our party's tank was about to DC, so he didn't move, and I didn't manage to run out of the purple stuff on time, so I got this zombie debuff thingie - meanwhile, Sawtooth started its big attack. A zombified player would just run to any other party member and spam a little AOE on this person, which means that I would have run to someone who was hiding behind Irminsul and safe my butt this way. But nope, I attacked this DCing tank who didn't move, and so I died. Meanwhile, my co-healer forgot to hide, and died too - as well as EVERY healer in the alliance. And as the only summoner in the alliance didn't bother to raise anyone, we faced the most stupid wipe on Irminsul I've ever seen xD

Doing WC today and the run was good. Tank Gloves and DRG Chest dropped off Ozma. Still getting use to using a controller and somehow greed on both. The tank gloves I wanted, but lost those. There was a DRG in the group so I wasn't worried so of course I somehow got the chest piece and then the DRG said something about how they could've used that. If my keyboard was nearby I would've said something. And of course the tank chest dropped at the end for the first time in months.

Before the server down I ran a leveling duty while wanting to get my Warrior to 60. I get Sohm Al with a MCH and Black mage. Nether of them knew how there class worked, The black mage kept getting out of her buffing circle and the MCH for most of the dungeon didn't have his Gauss barrel on. The few pull they didn't seem to know to attack the plant that kept placing down poison plants as Warrior I killed 2 on my own.(Also first wipe was to trash because the healer didn't mention he was out of MP until after the pull.)

This happened the last time Balmung broke. I was tanking Haukke story mode with my lala dressed in maid outfit and moggle sword. Right as I spawned the DPS said "OMG SO CUTE TINY TANK I LOVE YOU" and I got kicked off for a moment. I logged back in and he "welcome back cutie" me which I didn't reply to because I had to take aggro back since they ran on when i DC.

Right in the middle I got DC again. Every time I log back in he welcomes me back in the same manner he did before. After I got kicked out of the game for the 5th time, I just decided to turn my ps4 off. I feel bad they lost a tank but I rather stay off than keep on getting dc. And its like my bf's way of saying 'my girl keep off your hands off her" while he's on vacation.

WoD. I got reamed for using LB3 on final boss. Apparently, I'm supposed to let the best geared DPS use it. Which wouldn't have made a difference with her being at 7% HP and other 2 alliances ripping LB3s too.
I swear the players in this game are finding more and more ridiculous reasons to find fault with others -_-

Levelling alt, got my Tam-Tara quest to do. Lo and behold, who would I see but the obnoxious "omg healers should not dps!" tank I've met the other day in Sohr Khai. Needless to say, he was not impressed at my sproutling self trying to dps. On top of that (and I expected him to), he complained endlessly about how I never SSed him even after I said it was a level 34 skill, and proceeded to SS himself at every chance he got. We didn't die, but jeez, I wish i had at some point, let his scardy cat arse die in hopes that he might just rage quit the dungeon itself. His parting shot? " Noob, if you want to dps, play a dps, stop pretending to be healing dps". Onto the blacklist he went, when I got out.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't eh? ... >.< I mean yeah, as a healer healing always comes first but 1. why wouldn't you dps to make the run quicker & easier if you have the time 2. conflicting opinions everywhere, sometimes you'll get shouted at for not dpsing :/

& @ 7%, if no one else has used the LB3 and the whole raid are fine (i.e don't need healer LB3) what does it matter who uses it? Sometimes I use it as a BRD cause I barely get to see it anyway and I know I know melee is preferred for the extra dmg but c'mon... it's not like it's gonna ruin the run as long as you judge it right :/

I am not watching others MP or HP as a tank. If I am its to see if in a large group anyone could be taking aggro. Normally I would be too focused on making sure I keep my damage up or avoiding the AOEs. Besides I have been a healer myself and again as I said the group was just making mistakes left and right.

Best geared makes no difference, so don't feel bad at that. I've had someone whine and complain that I used LB on the first boss of WoD because "we'll need LB3 for the last boss." LB is based on collective party gear, but DPS type makes a difference - melee > caster > ranged. 7%? If the melee seem to be taking their sweet time and/or are dead, it's fair game.
