Also, aggro says absolutely nothing about performance anyways; you can do amazing DMG but if you pair it with aggro-down skills/abilities, you'll stay at the bottom of the aggro list.

If your DPS is halfway good, your aggro won't drop below the one of a BLM spamming blizzard, even with aggro decreasing skills.
And, aggro might be a bad indicator for DPS, but it is one. Don't tell me you won't get worried if you meet a BLM being #5 downwards in the aggro table, no matter if they use Quelling or not

Basically you just assumed they all sucked, then also assumed they sucked because they just didn't care, so it was okay for you to suck too on purpose? And we still wonder why df is such a horrible place..*sigh*

No, I didn't assume they sucked or that they didn't care. Clearly, my DPS didn't matter to the WHMs if they just let me die despite being given ample opportunity to heal. Nobody said anything, nobody put in any effort. The whole raid still got done. If other people aren't going to bother, why should I? The results won't vary one bit.

Buffs can grab aggro if the tank is only proximity pulling. Eye for an Eye is a likely suspect.
Try to hit everything at least once. Use the ranged pull and tab through targets or Flash/Overpower/whateverDRKget the lot.

Leveling Roulette. Cutter's Cry.

Healer mentor quits as soon as the barrier goes down.

Thankfully, another healer entered just a few seconds later so we didn't have to wait.

The run was very smooth.

Did totorak on my dark the other day for leveling roulette with my sister.

Got in, and even before the barrier was down the healer poofed.
Mentioned, well, that person has no patience....

Went ahead and started doing pulls without, went about three or four groups in before a healer popped in.
Said our hellos and mentioned what happened with the previous healer.

Continued the run, nice and smooth, and after we finished I looked up how much time had passed based on the chat logs...

26 minutes...

That healer was still in duty finder abandonment penalty when we left the instance.

Sohr Khai. Long story short, apparently healers dd-ing makes DDs themselves look bad because, it's implied that their damage is so pathetic, the healer has to chip in. Tank was SO afraid of his HP even dropping a pixel, that he insisted I stay on healing duties. All 3 were so adamant about it that I said "okay fine, I'll just twiddle my thumbs while you do your jobs."

I probably would have laughed the whole thing off as a joke if we didn't wipe at Hresvelgr because he destroyed all the platforms....

So, respawn, run back and I mentioned, "maybe you know, I should help to dps?". No prizes for guessing what happened to me after.

Hindsight, it did irk me a lot that I wasn't allowed to contribute with DPS, even though it was clear as day that that department was lacking. I can only say, I feel sorry for the next healer that comes in.

It shouldn't be a surprise people, even mentors, quit @ the start of longer dungeons. 26 minutes though? Yuck. Totorak isn't even that long when done properly. I've seen 18-19 minutes easy at the point of reaching last boss. The idea that dungeon is long in particular is misguided.

I will just mention, two little-known facts about that last fight: 1) the poison stacks aren't applied if the person has a shield up (stoneskin, adloquium), and 2) if someone without poison picks up a potion from a coffer, it'll cure someone else with the poison (so if it really does bug you, you can cleanse it for them).

Don't forget #3, the damage the poison does is so insignificant you should just all probably ignore it regardless, unless you have a really, really bad healer.

The poison from the last boss in Hullbreaker (Hard)? No, it doesn't do that much damage. It reduces the damage you do. No competent dps would want to ignore it.
