I can understand that, though my reaction to any healer or tank who's answer is "you can't kick me because x/y will leave so I can act however I like" gets an instant yes vote from me.

I'm not a hostage to them and i don't get dictated to.

As a player whos been playing on here for years...I've put up with ALOT and I mean alot...Especially since I DRK Main. Ive put up with a lvl50 Archer that only had 1-30 Archer Skills in Wanderers Palace Hard Mode, Hell ive had to fully do a whole dungeon with a Ice Mage Black Mage because "Roleplaying" even if i try to kick they wont because people refuse to and let them get a free pass to make my life miserable...but oh my god...me trying to learn Fire 4 as a BLM and struggling to learn rotations even though im doing 6k crits gets me kicked because *i didnt clear the dungeon 5 minutes earlier* so i was kicked before Hresvelger at Sohl Khal

Its not hard to get a free pass for these guys, as long as they did it with 1 friend then its impossible to kick them and they can kick you at will. That being said, they usually really think twice about kicking a tank cuz wait times.

Fun times in Palace of the Dead. I went in earlier and immediately there was a bunch of drama. The three people in the run were in a previous run right before the one I ended up in. Chat log kinda speaks for itself.

I made the cardinal mistake of calling out a Dragoon in our party that was AFKing on every fight in Void Ark. Someone in our party then pulled the 3rd boss before anyone else got there, locking several others out, including myself. I got kicked before the last boss, by what I assume was a premade group that included the Dragoon + those who saw I wasn't there but didn't realize I was there the first two bosses.

Not really a nightmare scenario or anything. I'm just not sure why someone who is already inconveniencing people by deliberately AFKing would then turn around and kick someone who is actually clearing the content. Well, besides the obvious fact that they're trashy people. I'm slightly annoyed at having my time wasted, but I'm a lot more annoyed at how much people will tolerate in this game. The more I run into this behavior, the more I wonder why I bother playing MMORPGs when I could be playing a single-player game and not subjected to people's blatant stupidity.

... maybe I'm slightly more than slightly annoyed.

Palace of the dead tales:

We load in, me on warrior, others on DRK, PLD and Astro. Astro takes one look around and says 'Wow, I feel so protected! '

One nightmare enemy is spamming his terror on a floor with abilities disabled and enemies buffed. I move to dodge, my butt pulls the second nightmare who then proceeds to stunlock all of us with his buddy and w die O_O

Heal goes down, blm goes down, we didnt kill enough yet for ressurect tower and there are one hit ko enemies wondering around.

'Never fear! The Bard with phoenix down (the only one) is here!'

I go to helpfully resurrect the person with a staff, thinking its a whm. It is not. The newly resurrected blm dies o-o we get surrounded by the coffin guys and they make quick work of us o-o ...

Had an odd MSQ roulette the other day, can't remember which one it was but it's the one that ends with fighting omega twice then Lahabrea. I was healing, other healer was WHM too, they just stood still during every battle, chucking out a medica II whenever I did... I mean, it was fine, everyone was overgeared so didn't need much healing but... i'd be so bored doing that!? I don't understand

So leveling roulette as AST yesterday. It pops, I click, load in... aaaaand of course, it's the Vault. With a WAR that's not-synced, in a mix of Ironworks and Sohm Al/Aery gear, a MNK, and a new DRG in Titanium gear.

Well, fine, if I can successfully heal Vault as an ilvl 131 SCH, I can heal it as an ilvl 220 AST. It's a scary rollercoaster ride as the WAR's HP jumps up and down like a pogo stick, but I manage to keep them alive and throw in some AoEs as well. Actually, the WAR did a decent job, I will admit. I just wish they were less squishy.

We only wiped once, to the second boss, because he is a dick and punched me into 2 black holes while I was trying to ress the DRG. As we go through the dungeon, I notice the DRG is AFK half the time, or barely DPSing, and I'm getting annoyed. But in the end, I never said anything and just did my best.

Then we come to Charib***h. Oh god, Charib***h. Predictably enough, the DRG goes down. I'm just amazed they even made it to the post-fireball-phase. At this point, I'm running low on MP, so I decide to forget about ressing them. Through the grace of God, we made it through that with just the 3 of us, no wipes. We definitely came close to wiping, and I had to pull out every trick I knew to keep us alive, but we did it.

And then leveling roulette again, today. This time, I'm BLM, because healing sucks. Sunken Temple, which is all right. The other DPS is also a BLM, except way less geared than me, on account of being lvl. 41, rather than 60.

Except that as we go along, I start to notice that this BLM, like the DRG from yesterday, likes to stand around doing absolutely nothing while I do all the work in DPSing. Occasionally they would cast Thunder, but other than that? Nothing but standing around.

That DRG wore out all my patience, as it turns out. I ended up watching the dungeon timer, waiting for 5 minutes to pass so I could just initiate the vote-kick against this BLM ASAP. When I finally could, it went through so fast, I can't describe how happy and relieved I was.

I'm so sick of DPS who can't be bothered to put in effort and think that nobody will notice when they don't do their jobs right. I will sure as hell notice, especially when it means I'm forced to pick up the slack, and I will never cease my efforts to get rid of these people.

I did a run through the Vault a few days ago with 2 female Miqote. I was the healer, they were the 2 DPS, and there was an unrelated tank who didn't say anything.

My character, at the time of the run, was the minimum level to do the Vault. The other 3 characters were level 60.

When we first appeared in, one of the miqote said to the other "I hope you get good loot!". The second miqote responds with "me too!". Now, throughout the entire run they would need anything they were allowed to and greed the rest. That's ok; the mechanics allow for this so that is their right. What became uncomfortable is that any time I would roll greed on something and win, the one who wanted the loot would do things like /angry, /cry, stuff like that and the other miqote would say "Damn" and "That sucks".

I proceeded to spend the entire run getting shamed for rolling on anything... in a dungeon where I was the only person of level to make use of the gear! It didn't let up, even once, for the entire run.

I was so happy to be free from that run. :-P

Came from a trial roulette in Mog, pld proceeds to afk for the rest of the run. Saw that he only had French ticked, so I assumed he didn't understand what was going on since he had a sproutling icon next to his name and only had paladin levelled. It proceeds to become a bloody mess with no one taking ruffle (is that his name, too may mog names to remember!), and everyone else deciding to ignore mechanics. Somehow we manage to clear, and paladin comes to life and says, "thanks for the carry " (in perfect english!) and leaves immediately.

What in the name of Halone?
