EXP roulette. Neverreap. Summoner that propably kept hitting his keyboard with his face based on the numbers my friend posted to our Voip chat: first boss = 305 Second = 216 Third = 92

And they say we don't need parsers in this game... I wonder if we would have made it out in 90minutes if i didnt spam holy and dots everywhere. Theres something wrong if a WHM is out DPSing a DRG and SMN all the time troughout a dungeon.

Also the SMN had other classes at 60 so it was clearly not his first time.

I had a Neverreap run earlier in the week where the WHM was using a Zodiac weapon. When asked to change to something a bit stronger he refused, saying he didn't have anything else and wanted to get lights from the run. (I'm pretty sure you don't get light from HW content?)
The Tank was new, and was suffering from the lower heals, so he decided to pull smaller mobs. The WHM then complained that the run was going too slowly and ran ahead to pull more. Needless to say, we wiped a lot in that run.

You don't, yeah. As far as I know the only HW stuff that gives lights are FATEs (which are still the usual feeble lights)

Even if it did, it's still a dick move to keep a weapon that far underleveled equipped for the entire dungeon when you could just equip it before the last boss.

Ran the Vault on my WHM a couple days ago.

First thing i noticed was that the tank wasn't really trying to mitigate any of their damage taken, and was just facepulling mobs. This put a heavy strain on my MP.

Second thing i noticed was that the DPS was really slow. I think the black mage was using their 2.X rotation and none of their new skills (except maybe ley-lines)

Of course i struggle to heal the entire thing because these things combined is an invitation to disaster, but we make it to the last boss. Before our first pull i ask the tank to wait for MP, she doesn't and pulls while i'm at 25% mp. We wipe because they can't dps down the orb things in time before the big aoe (i normally help, but i can't because i'm out of MP).

For the second pull, i'm ready, but the struggles do not end. The DPS, on top of their sub-par damage, were also failing to avoid mechanics, wouldn't move to avoid the wall of adds, and were standing in aoes to get off casts or finish their combos. Eventually i ran out of MP and could no longer afford to put much effort into healing them. They both died, but by that point Assize and Shroud of saints were both off cooldown so I was able to get off two raises. Neither of them timed their accepting of the raise and got up asap, and both ended up getting up right before his big room aoe and were shot back down instantly.

So there i am, with my last 2% MP desperately trying to keep the tank alive until i can get another assize/shroud of saints off, but the tank gets smacked down, and so do I.

I don't make it to the next attempt because somewhere along the way they decided it was all my fault and booted me. I can't imagine they had much luck with another healer.

(To make it clear, i was quite literally doing everything within my power to keep them alive, i used Divine Seal on cooldown, Eye for an Eye on cooldown, Virus, Medica 2 was always up, and regen was always on the tank. There is only so much i can do).

I actually ran into the tank the next day for my expert roulette, they didn't recognize me, but oh how i wanted to destroy them.

So I have a story that unfortunately, stemmed off of myself and some of my friends. One of my FC mates made it to the end of the main story quests, so of course, that means Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium. It wasn't until after we queued up and got a party almost instantly that we all realized... We consisted of 2 tanks and 2 healers... we were the main team... To top it off, both healer's dislike these dungeons, so they also had limited knowledge on them.

As I think everyone knows, these dungeons are notorious for high lvl'd players doing speed runs. So my past experiences (all 2 of them) were based on my limited knowledge of those runs. I am a PLD (lvl 53) and when I beat it the 1st time, I simply followed the MT around like a sad little puppy as I tried to figure out the complex sequence of objectives I needed to do. Now... I was the MT since the other WAR tank was brand new to the map. I attempted to do the standard big pull to the 1st boss. Mistake. Oh god, was it a mistake. I was on skype with my friends, so I had warned I was going to do a big pull.
    1st mob pull:
Healers: Wow, that's a lot but we can handle it. Wait... where are you going?
Me: Um, I already pulled the next mob, where are you guys?
Healers: About 20 miles behind you.

1st mob pull result: We all died. When I got to the boss, I tried to hold all the aggro, but obviously, I had to run around a bit as the dmg was substantial and the large AOE's weren't coming in. 2nd tank started pulling aggro with defiance and overpower and also had to run around (thus we started getting messy; spread out mobs). Healer's were frantically healing us (soo, building up some good emnity). First, it was only 1 or 2 adds leaving the group to hit the healers, but I still try to pull them back in. Other tank is also losing some and healer's aren't next to each other. I run out of MP (so no more flash) and War tank is out of TP from overpowering. DPS's aren't AOE'ing nor really killing the adds in a timely fashion. Healer's go down, DPS shortly follow and then tanks. DPS are all very angry with the pull (and I don't blame), so I pull smaller. After we kill the 1st mob in the start, DPS all complain we're moving at a snails pace and they all leave. New DPS come in. We simply warn them this time of the circumstances. They are much more accommodating (and we now have 2 BLM's with decent AOE, a BARD, and a Monk). Rest of the run went much smoother, but it was still a funny circumstance imo. The skype call I was in was quite the riot.

Next up, Praetorium. We know this is going to turn out the same because all of us are relatively new. So we all only had 1 class above lvl 50. So we go in and this time, warn prior. One BARD disconnects soon after our warning. Not sure if legit disconnect or they just weren't having it. But we gave 5 min, then booted and got replacement and continued on our way. For the most part, Prae went just fine all the way through except for 1 part. The part where you must get the access key for the magitek armor and then take the elevator up to board a magitek... Yea... I told my teammates to follow me. Lead them to the terminal to get the access. Then we all went up the elevator and continued on our merry way. Then I hear my skype friends say, "what's going on, I can't get in? Are there other one's?"
Oh uh. I asked if they picked up the key and got the response "what key"?
"The one I told you to get when I said follow me right before the elevator"
"You said follow me, but you didn't say to pick anything up"
    ...
Now we're waiting at Nero with 4 DPS and 1 tank and one of the DPS says, "shall we start?"
    ...
So as my friends are figuring things out, we're using the party chat to banter a bit. One of the DPS asked "Did you listen to Siri?"

Honestly, felt pretty bad for those who were with us, but was very happy they were all good sports and patient with us. Overall, it was a very funny experience though.

Fight was slower than what I'm normally used to then I found out the PLD OT was literally not attacking. Didn't even bother to pick up sisters when they popped.

Fight didn't take that much longer than normal - we just had to burn sisters and we got to the "rotate around the arena" phase before killing Garuda. Still, sometimes I wonder why bother playing the game if you're gonna be lazy about it..
^ Had the same thing happen again today except replace Garuda with Leviathan and lazy PLD with lazy BRD.

I wonder if I'll have it happen again tomorrow.

Boy oh boy, I a story to share with you guys. This one is actually pretty old, but still makes me giggle every time I think about it.

Back then I was levelling my SMN. One time I ran Copperbell Mines with a new healer and DPS, while the tank already had a LVL50 class. Everything went nice and smooth until we beat the second (or first? idk right now) boss and had to use the second elevator. Our healer accidentally activated the lever without the tank inside, so I waved my pet and the tank farewell as a joke.

Instead of following us and using the elevator, the tank started to freak out. He demanded an apology from all of us, because we left him behind and even “a child won’t leave his mate”. Since the healer and DPS wanted to go on quickly we kicked that guy, simply too annoyed to deal with him.

Guess what happened. Yes, he re-joined our group but still didn’t want to do his job. I tried to explain to him that I always /wave to my pet when it stays upstairs and that he shouldn’t make such a drama out of a simple joke. But no, he still wouldn’t tank, claiming “u always do dat but this time u were unlucky because I’m sensible”. We kicked him again and luckily a friend of mine decided to help us out, letting us finish the dungeon without further problems.

Maybe waving at him wasn’t nice at all, but still… I really don’t get why some people waste their time getting all angry about something so irrelevant.

Reminds me of an encounter I had way back when on Wanderer's Palace normal.
I queued in via df as tank, we got all buffed up and I started with the standard pull, to beetles iirc.
Immediately the healer starts freaking out over chat, yelling at me, accusing me of going too fast, trying to force a speedrun, etc. So because they are freaking out and not healing, we wipe.
As we pop back at the entrance the healer is still going off in chat, cussing me out and generally just going nuts. Myself and the dps ask if they haven't done this dungeon before and try to explain that you have to go fast to outpace the big tonberry with the knife or it kills you. They say they are new (there was no new player message on zone in) and that there is no excuse to try to force them to go that fast. We reiterate that you have to for this dungeon and then go to start again. After the pull has been initiated and the dps and I are fighting the mobs the healer tells us they refuse to heal and just sits at the entrance. So we wipe again. We tell the healer that they will be kicked if they don't do their job, the healer keeps cussing us out so we kick them. About 10 seconds later they rejoin our group and start going off on us again in chat. Kicked. Again they rejoin and they continue their rant. This cycle of us kicking and them rejoining to cuss us out happens a few more times before we finally decide to just abandon so we don't get that healer rejoining.

A friend (MCH) and I (GLA) went to Haukke manor, it was my first time as tank in this dungeon, we had a DRG and a CNJ with us. I ran to the room with the first key, pulled the mobs there and noticed that my HP dropped horribly fast although the CNJ literally spammed Cure on me. I used all of my CDs but couldn't prevent myself from dying. The CNJ apologized, noticed that their equip wasn't up to date and thus wished for a small break to equip proper gear. I waited for them, after their OK I pulled the next group, but the same thing happened again. So, after respawning again, I had a closer look at my healer's gear and found the level 1 weapon equipped on them. The level 1 one. This thing doesn't have any stats. I asked if they can replace it with something better, but no. Don't know why, but instead of kicking them, I pulled the third group of which my friend took one mob away from me because "this healer can't keep you alive with three mobs beating you". Well, they couldn't even keep me alive with two mobs because they decided to heal both my friend and me simultaneously with Medica - which is even weaker than their 110 HP Cure. After I died for the third time, I finally kicked them, my MCH friend left and then returned as AST to spare us the waiting time for a new healer, and the free DPS slot was filled with a lv60 BLM using their ilvl200 weapon. We finished the dungeon without problems except maybe the fact the BLM always stole aggro from me.
