Oh, boy. I haven't been in this thread for a while, but dear god, OF COURSE I'd get a trainwreck of a run the moment I decide to do Main Scenario Roulette for the first time in four months.

When the run began, both tanks popped their tank stance. Normally that wouldn't be an issue except for one of them running up and grabbing EVERYTHING before the searchlights were switched off. I mean, that's not even that big of a mistake, but later on... Oh boy.

Same tank kept running ahead of the entire group to pull things that didn't need to be pulled, and started insulting us for, you know, staying behind to actually kill everything that needed to be killed in order to proceed. Then as soon as the second boss dies, the second tank starts calling the other tank out for his irresponsible pulling and declares he's going to main tank from that point on, to which the first tank responds by seemingly deliberately taking a group of mobs away from the second tank and moving them directly into the cannons, wrecking them all.

At this point, second tank calls out first tank again and tells him to turn off Defiance, in which first tank starts spouting speed run trash (I say trash because there's having a speed run, and then there's doing it in a way that ruins the entire point of having a speed run, ie. destroying cannons seemingly out of spite). So they sit there and argue with really, REALLY childish insults (as in, virginity/getting laid-type insults) while I get fed up with their crap and (as a bard) pull the second group of mobs to the second set of cannons. I predictably die, but at least the other DPS reached the cannons to wipe all of the mobs before the two tanks could arrive to make things even more complicated than it already was.

They insult each other some more. First tank tries to initiate a vote kick on the second. It doesn't pass (and that's when I realize Cid is missing and myself along with two others run back to kill a stray mob that was missed). Upon returning with Cid, I tell them both to shut up and just go on, though the second tank did have a right to be peeved especially after the first was deliberately tried to sabotage the run. Even more insults happen throughout the following boss fight, although I noted something really weird in that the colossus did not get any of the vulnerability down buffs as usual, allowing us to completely burn it.

Tanks continue arguing as they pull mobs up to the last room. Then the first tank goes and opens the door to the last room, and immediately runs into the group of colossus as if he were trying to make a point. We boot his ass out the door in the middle of the trainwreck after, although thankfully we manage to kill them all with minimal casualties.

All I can think of after that is that dear god, I felt so sorry for the healers. I was practically a third tank in that run due to constantly popping my buffs to kill everything ASAP (and deliberately trying to take some aggro away so the remaining tank/entire rest of the party didn't get hit by like 4 cleaves at once). :/

(On a side note, the summoner was brilliant by placing a numbered target macro on Livia for the countdown. Never even thought of that before.)

The last few days i seem to be getting tanks that have ADHD w a can or 2 of redbull.
The wait for no buffs, and then throw a tantrum when they die. And then think the whole party is at fault

Haha. This is so sad but true. In Weeping City, whenever there's an Alliance with 2 WHM they usually wipe at least once. I always joke about how they're probably fighting over who gets to dps, and refuse to heal. One time I even had to heal their entire party because we wiping to Ozma due to them. The moment I stopped healing them to heal us, they wiped Dx

I had a WHM once tell me that she was better geared, therefore she should DPS and I should heal.
And this was on Wiping's opening day. There were glorious deaths abound, most of them the WHM's :/

Sohm Al today, had a tank that refused to use any cooldowns, When I called him out on it he blamed me and my "terrible gear" >item level 120-130 gear Same as him, the run took almost 60 minutes because I couldn't even help DPS at all and we kept dying because he kept dying too, vote kicks were declined.

Funnily enough as a WHM, I keep getting SCHs who refuse to even touch DPSing no matter what's going on.

We should get these guys together.

Had an aurum vale run with a warrior who wears the lvl 30 disciple of war's toadskin set, run quickly went downhill on the first room

Speaking or Aurum Vale, I had a fun one the other day, in mentor roulette. I signed as a healer, one of the dps was new. Easy deal, tank and I explained the 3 boss, one-shot easily. The new guy, though, had a bit of lag, sometimes suddenly freezing (with the d/c icon) but he never was logged off by the system and eventually could go on again. Then we reach the small room after the 2nd, the one with plenty of seeds / morbols, and the tank proceeds to let them all spawn, and grab aggro on everything, including the 2 big morbols, by which he can instantly caught in the "breathe" aoe, and needless to say all the healing in the world can't keep up while he's being paralyzed / stunned / mute or w/e and he ends up dead.

My turn comes next and I get instantly massacred. So tank and I respawn, sprint a bit, and then we find the new guy, in the room right after the second boss (where were originally ghosts and more) kiting ALL the morbols and seeds (10+). So I suggest to just wipe it, cause nobody else has protect, and I can't even risk healing him without instantly getting aggro. But the guy keeps running in circles, with the 10 + mobs following him closely but never close enough to give him any damage. After like 3 minutes of kiting, and we -other 3, witnessing the performance, the tank said :

" So, all of a sudden, no more lag ? lucky !" We had such a good laugh.

Today I went into titan hm, since the main scenario (2.55 wants you to clear ifrit/ruda/titan hm before processing). Anyways, since it's an alt of course I have the little green leaf next to my name and before we even started, that WHM in the group was already screaming at the new people. "don't fall off the platform""hope you watched a video""don't waste my or anybodies time""don't be stupid"

Finally the other player finished watching the cut scene and we could start. At that point I was already pissed at the whm for saying such things to players that are new to the game. 5 minutes into the fight, after the first jump, the whm nearly died to plumes. I made sure that my fairy was not healing his ass and proceed with healing the group.

Then the whm decided to dps, which was fine for me, again I've solo healed that stupid fight in myth/soldiery gear at level 50, I don't need some lvl 60 whm in 240 gear throwing a regen here or there. First bomb rotation, again whm nearly died, he used benediction on himself and I nearly killed myself laughing so much that I forgot to dodge the plumes, but then again nothing an adlo can't fix.

2nd bomb rotation the whm dies, I raise him, he dies again, I raise him again and he falls off the mountain since clearly a single landslide was to much for him to handle. So we finish the run with both tanks, 2 dps since the rest decided to keep the whm company at the bottom of the mountain.

After we cleared it, the tank told the whm that next time he joins a old and outdated trial he should come prepared instead of telling the new players to not waste his time. I got all commendation, however it really sucked, since the new players didn't wanted to screw up and that whm made such a big deal about it at the start. At least he wasted my time and my mp.

My friend, a tank, kept getting DCed all the time.
She got kicked so we kept waiting for a tank to join.
This was at 2nd boss were you need 3 tanks to tank each add.
I left the party and re-joined as WAR. (was a dps)
We clear the 2nd boss and I leave immediately after it because I did warn them not to kick my friend or else me and other players will leave.
I told them I can tank our Alliance add as dps, my healer friend will keep me alive or he can tank it.
But they no listen. c:

So he was able to maintain threat starting out with 0 TP?

The DPS wasn't the best and I'm not that kind of tank who desperately wants to tank and starts aggro battles about it, so I just let him and it worked. Don't ask me how, warrior isn't my tank job ^^

Had a tank like this in yesterday's 50 roulette. I signed in as scholar because, well... to be honest, I just wanted to DPS and abused the short healer waittimes. Stoneskin + Adlo, and Selene can deal with practically everything. But this paladin I got in Hullbreaker NM ran off without any buffs, pulled everything and didn't pop any cooldowns. I somehow managed to buff him between all these Adlos and Lustrates, and at some point I could even throw out a Shadow Flare and some dots. He was extremely hasty, at bosses he never waited for everyone to reach the room, almost locking the BLM out for the second one.
I can imagine the insults flying around in party chat if the paladin died - but I didn't let him (it was close several times though)
