After 7 runs of Weeping City last night, I finally got my healing boots. :3
The runs weren't too bad. Nothing nearly as bad as earlier this week. Just people not following mechanics. Few people definitely got carried. People did waste the LB, or use it way too early on Ozma, which 75% of the time led to a wipe because the healers couldn't lb3 everyone back to life.
Also, all the alliances with sprouts actually helped explain mechanics to them. :3 I'm glad to see some more helpful people come out of DF!!
Really wish they'd fix double drops though. So many of the chests were just the same two pieces of (scouting) gear. Game pls.

Was doing Weeping City for like the 20 millionth time to get caster legs (only seem them drop once, and someone else got them).
Two of the alliances (mine included) had extremely low DPS and kept dying to mechanics. I was certain it was almost everyone's first time.
We wiped once at 2nd boss because B alliance didn't interrupt the succubus.
We wiped again at Ozma. It was taking just TOO long to kill and everyone was dying. One healer didn't seem to know any mechanics and didn't seem to be doing much of anything. And the tank kept standing right in the center during the square phase.
I was on BLM and on every single boss I had more enmity than our tank did (highest in the group even though my IL is below 230)
After the Ozma wipe, while everyone was running back, someone in the group voted abandon. It didn't pass.
So they immediately tried again (not even 2 seconds had passed).
It failed again.
So they tried to vote abandon again.
This happened 5 times. FIVE. And it always failed. Back to back they tried to vote abandon.
Why not just leave? Seriously. If you really don't want to do the dungeon that badly, then just go. The rest of us aren't quitters...
The 2nd time we did beat Ozma, but it took a long time.
At the last boss two of alliances (mine and Cs) lost almost all the members except for the tank in C's alliance and me in A's alliance.
Eventually, someone in Alliance B raised our tank. (Why didn't they raise one of the healers first?)
With two alliances almost completely dead and the boss still at about 30% HP I thought we'd lose for sure.
But finally B alliance raised our healer who used LB3 and we all came back.
Alliance C also used their LB3.
The tank for the last boss had god awful positioning and kept haircutting almost the entire room.
And inn the end the armor I'm looking for STILL has no dropped.
I'm glad we hung in there and didn't vote abandon.
And I guess you could say it was good practice for harder fights.
Update, I had to subject myself to Weeping City again. After those 6 runs before during the week I was prepared for literally the worst.
It wasn't. The party was friendly and chatty in the downtime, the entire group was fairly focused, and the gloves for my AST FINALLY dropped, which bumped me up an ilevel as well. The SCH was almost constantly in cleric, which didn't bother me - playing on a 10 fps cucumber taught me how to react preemptively and made me a better healer in general and especially on my PS4, actually. During Forgall we had a good laugh because we both have the same shirt glamoured. On to Ozma, I'm fairly optimistic and I got a heroic moment of raising one of C's healers...
Only to have a meteor spawn on my head, which confused me, so I stayed over at C's platform because my alliance has three meteors - I finally see we're the only ones left alive at this point - and die. That was the only wipe, however, and it occurred fairly late (after I LB3'd), so it was a moment of everyone assuming the victory against Ozma was in the bag. After that almost no further complications happened, Calo just gently did her thing and we won. Hell, I left with a big grin on my face, which is rare in Weeping City.
Honestly, I had a load of fun with these guys!

In Weeping City last night, I had to LB3 on the first boss (all but me and the tank dead), then immediately res both of A's healers. We almost wiped..
Second boss was also nasty, and idiot me accepted two resses during megadeath (NOTE TO SELF, RES IMMUNITY DOES NOT APPLY). After which the other healer LB3'd our alliance outside of a puddle on the next megadeath. Magically, the raid did not wipe.
Ozma was a total crapshow, and my alliance went down due to bad luck of dps goes for orb during cube -> dies in center of platform -> meteor targets corpse. Another alliance went down at the same time as ours. The other healer takes that time to mention they are totally new (and judging by earlier deaths, did not read up on mechanics).
It was late, I was grumpy as hell, and had a headache.. So I left. Still need my weekly clear..

Seeing you guys have nice Wiping city runs are great and some of those horror tales bug me, especially the last boss... every time I go in as DRG the mt who tanks Calo always turn her and haircut the raid! Is there a new trend of mt doing it that I'm not aware of? And it also happens when I'm not the mt too ._.
