My girlfriend, who goes by Selli on the forums, had her forum account permabanned for her reply to a post in this thread. I'm not going to go too heavily into why, as I assume that's also against the ToS or something. But it's been 3 weeks and she's had no luck appealing the ban so I don't expect her to ever be allowed to return.

However, we both feel the point of her post is something that should remain within the community. So she has edited her original post to avoid getting my account banned for the same reasons as hers (I hope) and I'm going to re-post it for her I think I'm going to have to ask her how to get past the character limit because I have no idea.

(*I'd like to take this moment to point out that the only thing changed in this post is the language. The point of this post is exactly the same as the original)

I am so sorry this happened to you and I hope you reported them for treating you this way.

I have also been kicked from parties for DPSing too much, so I understand and share your frustration. I feel like the argument between whether or not a healer should or shouldn’t DPS is very silly. If the healer is able to keep up with healing the party (trying to kill oneself by standing in all the AoEs doesn’t count) and wants to DPS, there should not be a problem with them doing so. I think that if a party doesn’t agree with your healing style, then one of them should have went healer to fit their style instead of trying to force their playstyle onto you.

No one has any right to force their playstyle on anyone, especially in dungeon content. If you do not like the way someone plays on their job, then don’t play that way when you play that job. It is not right to throw fits and try to make someone else’s experience miserable. I personally do not like healers who don’t DPS, however I will not stand there and demand they go into Cleric Stance or pop less cooldowns for them (if I am a tank). I might switch into Sword Oath/Deliverance/drop Grit, however, just to push things along a bit faster. We’re all people, not robots and we all play a little bit differently. As long as things are chugging along, then there is no need to start trouble.

Also being banned from here is not the end of the world. Some even take it as an accomplishment since so many get banned wrongfully.

Don't feel guilty. D: She's definitely an emotional woman so when she gets mad, she gets mad. The language in her original post was pretty bad, so we both felt she deserved the suspension over that. I think the person reviewing the post might have thought she was attacking you and missed the overall point of her message, because it wasn't a bad one.

Without all the bad words in there the point was the same as she stated in the edited version; report people who harass you. Play the way you want to and don't force others to play your way, if you do you're a mean person. If you think you can do better, then do it yourself.

Maybe the party in the post reported her for attacking them? Twelve only knows. I think she's going to try more tickets, but I don't have much hope at this point.

The only thing I knew is those three belong together in an FC (Square Enix makes Stalking through the Lodestone possible...) so ya, one of them probably was the baddie and the other two FC Members just tagged along, can't blame it since that's the mentality most People have Ingame. Going against the FC Leader or a well known Person in the FC and you're out of the Window, which seemed to be the case in that Run. Those are but only assumptions I have currently.

Forum Moderation being not directly involved into the Gaming Scene (That being FFXIV Ingame) is a common thing in most other MMORPG's, if Selli really wants to get rid of that well... I call it a unfair "Ban", asking on higher Instance, that being the FFXIV Team directly or one of the Staff that works in the Office.

This is like the Job I once had in Real Life, I had a Problem and the Guy right below the higher People did nothing and did also refuse to do anything, I went to higher ground and talked about it and they didn't knew things like in my case happened at all.

I feel guilty, so much that I reported my own Post and wrote a little harmless rant about it. Nevermind that, if I get banned for that well, I let you know.

I'm so sorry to hear Selli was banned, I always enjoyed her posts and input. It seems like the OF takes a really overly strict view and we lose a lot of valuable contributors to the community over stuff that should get a slap on the wrist. Please give Selli our best and we'll miss her very much in this and other threads!

Was running Cutter's Cry on my DRG alt. During the last trash pack before the first boss, the MCH takes damage, I don't know what he got hit by, but the WHM doesn't heal him although he's almost dead, just throwing some Stoneskins.
At the second boss, I get the sludge debuff and don't receive any heals or an Esuna, thus I ask for at least the latter. No reaction, but I keep myself alive with Life Surge and Bloodbath. Later, both MCH and WHM die due to a combination of the debuff and the whirlsand AOE, DRK and I kill the boss, then the WHM starts raging at everyone. The DRK shall learn how to tank while the DPS shall learn how to dodge. We explain them about unavoidable damage, making them even angrier. We're all wrong, the only person in the party who should need to receive any heals is the tank as you can dodge everything, everyone but them sucks, etc.
We kick that idiot, clear all the trash up to the final boss before an AST joins and we clear without any further problems.

Btw, I kinda wanna see this WHM go mad in dungeons such as Aurum Vale or the Vault
