I have to vent about this run, I just did not have the patience to deal with these people... I queued for Leveling roulette for the 100 Esos, I have quite a bit of patience when it comes to newbies and how they deal with mechanics... but even before the pull, my patience was just immediately draining. I got Brayflox's Longstop, so we spawn in, the barrier disappears, I cast Protect... Paladin then proceeds to cast Protect afterwards too... okay, I mean it was up anyways but no big deal, better a PLD who knows about Protect than one who doesn't. So then on the first pull, he Shield Lobs and runs to the single mob and just wails at it, along with the Dragoon and the Bard, so now I have to heal so I start using Cure on him... I've grabbed aggro on two mobs. At this point, the Bard begins to sing Mage's Ballad, even though I am at nearly max MP, but I deduced that the Paladin has no clue how to AoE aggro, so back to my main point.
After the first group of mobs are dead, I try typing to tell him to apply Sword Oath and use Flash but he just goes and pulls the second set, I immediately follow and start casting Cures on him again, and again, I've grabbed aggro, but THIS time, it's on two Colibris and a Galago, so I'm taking about 300-400 damage every now and then, I went down to 104 HP and barely saved myself with a crit Cure II. At this point I am fuming to my SO on Discord, because the Bard is gimping their own damage for nearly no gain, and the tank just has no clue how to play his class. He applies Sword Oath after the second set of mobs just as I tell him to, then I tell him he has to use Flash to aggro mobs, got no response from him. After that, the bard jokingly says "no more songs xd", which to me is a little bit douchey considered I am helping the Paladin. We finally get to the first boss after the Bard was running around kiting a mob, and I stood there trying to heal everyone. At this point I was contemplating just up and leaving the dungeon, but I just went through with it. The tank pulls the boss and ignores the adds that are with the boss. I end up aggroing two of them, while the Dragoon tanks and takes down one of them, while the Paladin is just dancing around with the huge pelican. The Bard, meanwhile, stood behind the barrier line and got themselves locked out, they literally stood still and just did damage from behind the line, then when the barrier went up, they acted surprised... please, that purple line has been there since Level 15 and it's hard to miss...
At this point, I am at my wit's end... I have dealt with a tank who does not know what Flash is. A Bard who seems to think "I have a brand new shiny ability, I should use it instead of reading the tooltip that comes with it!", along with thinking "Ooh there's a line on the ground, and the boss is on the other side, let me stay on this side." I should not have to explain a mechanic that has existed for nearly 15 levels now. Fair enough about Flash and Mage's Ballad but they didn't listen to what I told them, so at this point I just posted a huge paragraph about how you should read your tooltips and how you should pay more attention to your surroundings, and then left. I just couldn't deal with the stupid there.
