So I decided to queue up for A8 to gear my mnk a little more since I'm pretty much halfway through upgraded lore and can't really do much else about my main and I noticed I tend to get higher rolls on my mnk lol My mnk's about i218ish. So, get in, no new person message. We proceed to wipe to enrage. I check everyone's gear to see if we're all just undergeared. Everyone is mostly in lore gear/upgraded lore, so they'd have to be at least i230. Here's where it gets worse. Me, as my i218 mnk, am able to kill an add and a half solo before the rest of the pt gets one down... -.-

So, people start explaining things, thinking maybe someone isn't new, but they just got carried, seeing as there was no new person message. Everyone gets it, we go in again. Two adds still up when they blow up, still soloing 1 1/2 adds... Blm died to nearly every mechanic, almost like they stood in everything. Healer kept running from us with the stack then running to only 2 people, killing everyone under it. Tanks died each swap. Wiped to enrage again. Vote abandon.

TAKE NOTE SE! This right here, is a prime example of why we don't need a level skip option. People who have somehow cleared the content(most likely carried) and are well overgeared for it, still can't do it.

I had Steps of Faith in Trial roulette. I call dragonkillers, and onto the first one when the opportunity arose. THEN I notice the tortoise is following me up the stairs! I didn't attack it, aggro it, or do anything to even create hate in any way. I was just dpsing Vishap as a bard and when the first cannons fell I ran up the tower.

I explained to my party it wasn't easy being a lalafell because apparently the tortoises are out to get me as well. I used the opportunity to make a joke for myself and entertain my party at least (Because we all love Steps of Faith 2.x for trial roulette)

A Stone Vigil run. Normal, nothing fancy here or anything. A Paladin, Monk, Scholar, and myself as Bard. First thing I note, on any dungeon run, is level sync. I'm the only one not synced, which I typically take to mean everyone else has probably been here before, probably know what they're doing.

After the first pull, I have to remind tank to Shield Oath. I can maybe let it slide; being synced maybe dropped his stance or something before starting. Maybe.
But I notice, on that first pull, and most pulls after, I'm not really pushing myself hard, but still ripping a lot of aggro. Ok, maybe my DoTs are just burning big, making it easy for me to catch up on enmity. Maybe.
But tank also does a lot of stalling before most pulls. Nobody seemed upset by this, amazingly. Considering some personalities we've all seen, I nearly expected some abandons or vote kicks or anything. But no, we're pretty cool with just taking a few breathers from time to time. I'm a patient guy, I don't really mind, just a little strange.
I didn't really follow the Monk very much, but seemed competent enough. Scholar was a Scholar. Saw some Miasmas going out, but didn't notice much else. Got the impression of focusing mostly on healing, maybe coulda pumped out some damage too, but I won't complain.

Chudo-Yudo thankfully doesn't Swinge very much, because nobody seemed to really follow that mechanic. Maybe Adlo pulled its weight on that one.
Koshchei, and now I'm getting suspicious. Tank keeps him dead center, right in front of one cannon. Ehhh, ok, sure. I'll just stand on one side, and assume I can count on Scholar to man the other side. Isgebind shows up at Scholar's cannon, aaand, nothing. I have to break off and go shoot him down, we take a few hits from him while I suffer some interruptions. But maybe everyone forgot. Reminded, maybe I can go back to the other cannon just in case. Nnnope. Shows up at the same cannon, and again I have to take care of it. Mind you, this entire battle is taking place right in front of the cannons, anybody could've taken a moment for this.
Through all of this, nobody is saying anything. Nobody is bothered by the slow run. Nobody is checking fight mechanics, or asking for reminders. I take the silence to mean either they're all friends and don't need to chat, or just nobody is all that worried.
Isgebind fight, and it's just as much a mess as the others. None of them seem to notice the big arena swipes, not really in any hurry to get out of the way. Somehow, and I can only assume through Scholar OP, nobody dies.
But holy hell, that was surely the sloppiest, laziest run I have ever seen.

Level 60 duty roulette. Got research facity, which was fine ( more esos), what WASNT fine was the WAR and DRG that I got.

WAR was super sqiushy, popped no CDs and had me spamming physick like it was nobodies business. It honestly reminded me of strength tanks who didn't know how to mitigate. I barely had a chance to go into cleric stance for more than 10 seconds before the tank was dying. DRGs dps on the other hand was non existent. The BRD in our party was kind enough to sing foe's requiem for me whenever she had the chance (bless her soul).

I had three new members that refused help in Qurn. They bullied, and laughed at me when I simply offered them advice. The paladin wasn't shield lobbing, the white mage wasn't using medica, stoneskin (Final Sting) or regen, and the other DPS wasn't attacking the golems soul stone. To make it worse, we died several times during doom, but no my advice was "annoying" to them. I smiled, tried to be reassuring the whole time, and was patient for every wipe. Finally, when they asked me what the right order of tablets were, I said "apparently you don't need my advice, so knock yourself out". They ended up arguing with me mid boss, so we wiped, I gave up, and left. I couldn't stand one more minute with those bullies.

Levelling roulette on SMN last night up pops a Darkhold run 30mins in progress. Team is a DRK, BRD and a sprout WHM.

Zone in and say my 'Hey's and get a lovely Pikachu macro from the tank. Nice.
But then not even seconds later I see this in the chat;
Tank: Do you have "Holy"
Healer: (Agrees in French I think? Memory is a little foggy)
Tank: Then use it!

Okay... The text after seemed a little passively aggressive but I plod on and join the group just at the entrance of the first boss.
Jump in and for a short time the boss aggro is on the WHM, and being 'tanked' outside the Crystal Veil. But that was fixed soon enough.

Next was the room we all know and love with all those glorious toads. We all zone in and the healer casts Regen on the DRK before the pull. Then.... Nothing. Sulking in protest of having Regen cast before pull, the tank just stands and waits for it to wear off. They pull the first two mobs and no sooner are they dead they sprint off to pull the rest of the room. Yes, the whole room, with a clearly learning healer.
They struggle to keep up with the healing and we soon wipe when the final Toad enters the fray.

There's little time to think or even wait for Mana to regen as the DRK sprints off again to continue tanking the mess we left behind. No sooner do I get there (waiting for mana to summon and my Aetherflow to come off CD :C) The tank is dead again then the rest of us soon follow. Along comes a torrent of abuse from the Tank basically saying how useless the healer is and their BRD friend (I assume they were friends the way they interacted) acted much like some bully's little underling in a Highschool kids sitcom repeating all the jabs the Tank makes... I mention carefully and calmly that perhaps the healer is still learning and waiting for Protect at least couldn't hurt as well as pulling less. Stop before pull, tank seems to listen? We wait for shields and WHM pops a regen. We wait.... the full 30 or so seconds for it to wear off, BRD consoling DRK... ffs tank, really?! At this point we've only had chance to kill one toad and a hypogriph. Pull first two mobs and there is hope, the tank is actually being considerate... Nope. Rest of the room is pulled, WHM has aggro and dies first. I try to Swiftcast res but they are already at the entrance. We wipe, healer leaves shortly replaced with a lvl60 SCH. Oddly enough, the DRK is pleasantly quiet from then on.

This is basically a shout out to the WHM in that run! I'm sorry you had to put up with a colossal douche-nugget such as that tank and his apparent buddy. You seemed to be doing a fine job in my eyes. I hope you don't run into any more individuals such as that.
To the Tank, no, just no. If you don't agree with something then just say as calmly as possible. Don't p*ss off your team by waiting for a regen to tick off. Ask nicely for the healer to not do that again, or click it off.
I know you don't know what's going on behind closed doors and the tank could have been going through a bad time in RL, but please, don't spread that into the Party chat.

Ran quite a few raids yesterday. For the first time, I ran into the enrage on M4... We had some new people in the party, but my goodness, DPS was slow. After the 4th attempt, I pretty much did 1 rotation of butcher's block as WAR and then just switched over to Deliverance for the rest of the fight... I had to in order to max DPS because 2 of our's simply didn't know how. It was painful to say the least. And yes, we explained mechanics... quite a few times. You'd think on the 4th go, players would realize they should't stand in a barrage of missiles (especially when told not to every time).

Then decided to do some weeping city. Was in alliance C. We get to 1st boss and die because no one took the orbs during the web phase. I have no clue what the people up top were even doing... but apparently nothing as we proceeded to be blown into oblivion until wipe occurred. We all respawn, go back and wait... for like 5 min... No one is moving, then we notice a DPS is just sitting halfway not moving. Their alliance asks us to wait and then pipe up that their tank is new and doesn't want to MT... then the other alliance pipes up. Ours is the only one not new, but doesn't want to MT either... T_T they eventually do. We go without the last DPS who apparently D/C'd and got through the fight. 2nd boss... our tank is MT again... Considering we all had to wait 5 min for people to have mechanics explained, none of the tanks picked up their adds. Dooms everywhere, people getting caught in AoE's, but we manage somehow. Then mega death's come... MT (our tank) dies. We raise. next mega death. Doesn't make it to the green goo for gradual zombification... okkkkkk. Raise again. misses zombification again... now we start announcing it in party chat every time hoping they'll notice. They die again. This continues until we finally wipe. We tell our tank that they need to get into the green blobs for zombification. She then proceeds to tell us she can't see them... oh boy. I ask in alliance chat for another alliance to pick up MT because ours can't see the blobs. Apparently she took offense to this and left..... but I mean... if you can't see them... how can you expect to MT? MT can't die every minute if we hope to pass the fight. New tank comes in, they are amazing and we get through the fight with relatively no issues. After second boss, a few DPS left, but spots filled up quickly. Ozma took 2 go's, but wasn't too bad. We wiped first time due to one alliance dying and we ended up getting their orbs as well... We get to the final boss and our tank is still MT'ing. I ask if they can handle turning the boss for us to help avoid people getting hit by the AoE. He says it won't be an issue. As we are going, about 75% in the other alliances are praising our tank for being amazing for turning the boss as needed. I think too many of us were paying too much attention to the chat... because then, our tank messed up one time D: Cleaved the entire raid D: Very few lived through it, but we somehow continued on. Unfortunately, the other 2 tanks were new and didn't understand how the mechanics worked. I can't tell you how many times they cleaved a majority of the party by turning the boss for no reason. I died about 7 times during the fight T_T First was due to the cleave from our tank. 2nd time, I was raised right on top of a purple AoE and was eaten by a plant immediately upon respawning T_T 3rd time, I respawned and then was hit by those flower's that shoot the vulnerability beams out. Deaths 4-7 were cleaves from the tank turning the boss incorrectly. And these were situations where I was very far in the safe side of the boss and then the tank would turn them for no real reason T_T

My gear was so close to being broken and I had repaired it right before entering the raid. Oh and I got no drop ._. fun times. fun times.
