Today while i was dungeon grinding for xp on my new dps class, I met a fun Gladiator tank who's exact words were "stop attacking other targets than what I am. 1 flash should be enough on all monsters"... Through half the dungeon, he refused to use flash to keep aggro (so of course, the healer, archer and myself as a rogue were pulling aggro) and kept blaming us for not attacking the same target as him whenever we pulled. After we complained a bit, he finally started (but refer to above quote). He'd flash once (and very often miss half the mob because he didn't understand its limited distance) and then the mobs would come running over to us and he'd complain. After trying to politely give him advice on what could help him keep aggro (as my main class is paladin), he said "other people need to stop telling me how to do my job. I know what I should do". Luckily, this was an easy dungeon (just sastasha). If it was anywhere else, I'm almost positive we would of wiped.

I just got out of Expert using my DRK with half Vit and Str accessories, the two dps thought I was going to die and the run was going to be hard. Turns out for them got to end boss, not a single wipe or aggro battle, got the commendations, popped on my Vit gear and told them gear doesn't make the player and left the run.

This made me chuckle. Just finished a Bismarck HM run. Tank gets knocked off in last phase, says "stun and aoe knocked me off the platform. thanks healers!" obviously trying to be demeaning and later adds "shield stops dmg to island and prevents stun" as if we didn't know

Sunken Temple of Qarn (HM) today. Comp was DRK(GF)/WHM/DRG/MCH(Me.)

I noticed the Dragoon wasn't maintaining Heavy Thrust. I also noticed they failed to do ANY AoE with a TP turret out on pulls of 2-3 groups of mobs (Qarn has a lot of artificial walls to prevent anything bigger than this.)

Then I noticed they used just Chaos thrust. Unprimed. Chaos Thrust. And then went back to spamming 1-2-3.

When we asked them if they were having trouble or understood how to play the job, they simply said "I just returned to the game." Well, ok. We get to the second boss (cactus lady) and I tell them to just focus on the boss - I'd take care of adds. But I wanted them to try and maintain heavy thrust while upkeeping their Disembowel / Chaos / Phleb.

Que the worst dragoon I've ever seen running around after adds, not maintaining EVERYTHING, and ultimately doing less DPS than the DRK (Which was par for the course.)

Right after the run, I finally just decided to kick them out of the party. We went to the next pull because - let's face it - their Tank-Level DPS wasnt' really gonna be a huge loss on the next pull.

We get a BLM replacement who starts to head to us, but the Healer stops healing mid pull. As soon as we all die to lack of heals, the healer straight-up leaves the party right after. A server check later showed they were both from Siren - so they probably que'd together. We had a replacement for them (who was a new player to the dungoun) and had some fun. They were a noticable improvement, and even though we wiped once on the boss due to them not understanding the mechanics, we still had fun and cleared on the second try.

Secondary Edit: All I can say is replacing that bad Dragoon was probably the best decision I made in that party. Giving them every benefit and just having them willfully not seek advice or just flat-up ignore suggestions to help them do more damage is a slap in the face. It's sort of a cherry on top that the WHM left and took a Cooldown for leaving a Lgiht party and knowing they had to wait an extra 30 minutes to subject someone else to their badness.

I can beat that. I had a summoner with a NOVUS Weapon in Vault. Fun.

I've been grouped with players using Atma relics in Neverreap and Fractals. All their other stuff was high iLvl gear, but still ...

Final boss in the vault, the bard and me (AST) get chained, I run to a corner, the bard doesn't move, I die, wipe, bard leaves.

Did Leveling roulette as monk and got into Dusk Vigil. All went fine until the DRK missed getting behind a rock at around 30% HP on the boss. The SCH tried to keep him up, but he died.. I put on fists of earth, readied my CDs, and figured I could hang on until he provoked it. SCH swift casts raise.. good.. hitting boss.. waiting.. waiting.. CDs done, tossed second wind.. still no..

At 7% HP, I went for the LB2, just as the boss started his cast for the drawing in move. I got pulled to the center as the LB animation started.. brought him to 0. Inward cheer, then checked the DRK's classes..

Yup, no provoke. Oh well.

But didn't you know that if SE had wanted DRK to have Provoke, they should have given them their own version? There's nothing outside of end-game raids that requires Provoke anyway... oh, wait.
(And yes, I'm somewhat snidely repeating arguments made by some dps/healer-gone-DRKs who don't want to bother getting their GLA up to 22...)
