Tanked a brayflox normal as a paladin with a monk and L35 archer who liked to go all out on dps as soon as (and a few times before) I'd hit any of the mobs. They liked to attack different targets as well which was annoying but not much of an issue. I guess the archer got impatient with my pace because he started pulling adds for me when I was already fighting a pack. The first time he did it he went and grabbed a bunch of adds and limit breaked them. :/

Eventually I just let him keep hate on the ones he pulled...let him kite them to death while I dealt with the rest. He stopped doing it after that. >.>

on-topic - que popped for Sunken Temple of Qarn (Normal) the other night and our PLD had no shield

currently the strangest thing i've seen in DF so far

A few days ago I popped DF for my daily run as a scholar. We got Garuda, downed her on the second try, all the while the tank kept asking for a dispel. I checked my abilities twice, didn't find such type of ability and thought that scholars must get it later. He kept asking, I kept replying "I don't have such an ability, I am not a white mage". After the dungeon I decided to check when scholars get their version of "Esuna". Leeches. Level 40. I was 49. Ashamed that I had forgotten to do the scholar quests, I went late to bed the following night, after having done all the job quests I've missed and putting a mouse over Embrace macro on my keybinds in an apologetic attempt at becoming a better scholar.

Sorry, this is bugging me, but I don't recall Garuda having anything that needed to be Esuna'd, so...Either my memory is bad, or something else was going on.

Hadn't thought of that, but the 5 seconds of pacification really isn't so big of a deal you need to pester someone about it.

Tried A1 today. We wiped at Faust. I have NEVER wiped in A1N Faust before. We almost wiped the second time, then wiped twice on the Opressor before I ragequit. This was after a totally terrible A4 that wiped twice before vote abandon hit.

...I give up on DF today.

I once had a team wipe to the enrage on A1N Faust...here's a rough approximation of what happened in chat:

Me: I guess there's a first time for everything...
Healer: Ya, Really.
Me: DPS, Please wake up and do you jobs.
Healer: One of the dps was dead a couple of times. Chill.

After that I was like...wait, what? First, I've cleared Faust N with 2 dead DPS before. Second, we were 2-tanking him, with me MT'ing Faust and the other tank doing adds. If the other tank was doing his/her job, nobody should have died, so why did we have dead peeps?

Go figure.

To A LOT of them, yes, the 5 seconds are too much. I lived enough to see one asking me to stop spamming Holy on Fractal and Esuna the 5 seconds Pacification.

So I was in a Cutter's Cry run with a DRK a NIN and some healer with me as a BRD...
Stuffs weren't being mobbed much, at most 3 enemies per battle, so I didn't feel like AoEing and instead DoTed all the things.
Noticed the NIN started throwing me Goads every time, despite them almost always falling on me when almost full of TP or when the mob was about to die anyway :/
Its ok, I was grateful.

So we reach the second boss and by keeping my own rotation my TP reached the halfway point to which I was about to use Invigorate when BAM!! Wild Goad comes in... so no need to Invigorate anymore... yay~!
However, by looking at the party I noticed the DRK was pretty bad on his TP.

So I went and said: "thanks for the Goads, but on boss can you save it for the DRK?"
NIN: "No, because the DRK is a Tank, if you run out of TP you will not DPS"
Me: "Yes, but I still have Invigorate, and I can sing if necesary"
NIN: "No, because if you sing your DPS drops"
Me: "Yes, but if the DRK runs out of TP I have to sing all the same..."
NIN: "No, because the DRK can keep aggro with their MP"
Me: "Yes, but DPS =/= Aggro..."
NIN: "The Tank's job is to Tank and the job of the DPS is to DPS"
Me: "Oh well, will not dable further into that... thanks tho"
NIN: "I know the Raids are a different monster but on duns that doesn't matter"
Me: (thinking) ... raids? Just when did I... well w/e...

No, seriously, all I meant to say was "Thanks but Im fine so please help that other guy instead! D:"
