I'm still scared of trying the new raids. I should provide context. I only leveled a tank this time. And while I have no issues tanking the dungeons and older raids, something about this tier is scaring the shit out of me from trying. Part of the issue is I just have no friends and trying to get people from my FC to help never works. So I should either just put on my boxers and go or try to find someone to come with. But .. ugh... I dunno. I hate fucking up in dungeons and I know I'mma die alot in the new raid so I just been not doing it.

This is why I won't live to see the end.

Rofl... I knew I wasn't imagining it. Did P2 again, got the silver arrows (get way from the party) marker and ran from the rest of the party into a corner(fortunately they were farther out this time). Ate the hit fine... and then died to the stack, because my party had pointed it at me.... Ridiculous, but still made me laugh. Couldn't even be mad, just... I guess people forget it's like the lazer stack marker the three flight suit bosses use in Puppets' Bunker.

I think i just met the 'why are you run after me' situation today.

I actually happened to be streaming at the same time as a friend at one point a couple of weeks ago, and we did the "why are you running after me?!" thing to each other, wiping each other out with our respective AoEs. When we looked at the streams, though...

On his, he was slightly ahead and I was chasing after him. On mine, I was slightly ahead and he was chasing after me. Not by much, but just enough to be noticed when watching. We'd each just independently chosen the same safe direction, seen the other was heading there, course-corrected to the same backup spot...

Network latency shenanigans at their finest.

And of course, I’ve met few interesting individuals. Here goes one of them:

Vanaspati, as a DRK
Paired with SGE & 2 other DPSes that I couldn’t remember which, but one of them has to be either SMN or RDM.

First pull, DPSes are both doing fine. The SGE? I heard -a lot- of E.Diagnosis sound effect. Fun.

Fast forward to the pull after 1st boss, the SGE speaks up: ”Please focus dps the horse. They hurt much more.”

Me in my head:”I…. Excuse me??”

Both DPSes literally heeds the SGE single targeted horse, making the pull last much longer than it should. I chimed in my two cents: ”It doesn’t matter, really. I will end up eating more damage from the remaining mobs from not dying faster.”

What the SGE got to say?
”No lol it really matters.”

Truly, that wall pull before 2nd boss took excruciatingly long time to clear. Guess that SGE was happy that they get to spam their E.Diagnosis for all those Toxicons, huh?

Everything else up to last boss went by uneventful except the SGE died from standing on wrong color. They got res’ed by one of the dpses though.

Some people can act like babies sometimes.
First boss in Pandaemonium and the tank insta pulls and someone gets mad and then dies on purpose and keeps spamming to reset and about how much of a noob the tank is for insta-pulling and how '' typical '' it is.

I get being annoyed at it, especially when I am on NIN and I skip the cutscene and the tank instantly pulls because everyone skipped at the same time/ I was the slowest.
But this was a RPR lol.
I know they have a channel spell you can instantly charge outside of combat but still.
Yes it's annoying even if it's just roulettes, but this person got ressed and refused to accept the ress and was arguing and throwing a fit the entire time.
Just stayed dead the whole fight lol.

I do think that the Tank was a bit of an ass too, before the RPR started throwing a fit and had basically just said '' sigh... Why did you pull '' the Tank basically was all like '' cry about it ''.
I really hate when people do that shit too, like they do something that's wrong and when called out on it they accuse people of crying it's just really immature.

Just thought it was weird and a tad funny tho, I don't think I've ever seen someone be that stubborn before and act '' elitist '' about it to that level.
On the other hand the whole '' cRy MoAr '' spiel is really annoying and makes you come across as a complete douche too and is essentially just begging for an argument to happen.
Even if it happened to be true in this case it kinda immediately made me go from '' wow this RPR is an ass '' to '' wow they're both assholes ''.

Tanks don't bother with countdowns in normal 8-man content because most of the time they try this the other tank puts stance on and insta-pulls anyway or somebody complains about wasting time so why bother since majority are in a rush or don't care.

I will never understand why people care about countdowns in Duty Finder content. Just pull if you are the tank. Randoms don't bother with optimal openers and aligning raid buffs.

People care because some classes have pre-pull stuff they benefit from doing.

Not a big deal to me personally, but as someone who does try to perform my rotation to 100% simply for the sake of practice and muscle memory, it can be a little jarring if I can't even start pre-dancing or put up Insta-Harvest Moon before a tank goes Leeroy Jenkins into the boss's face, lol. So I understand where people who like countdowns come from.

Granted, I'm just talking in the scope of 8-man raids (and sometimes the newer Alliance raids, but that's kinda eh). In dungeon content, it just isn't worth the hassle sometimes and I do frequently yeet myself into the boss room.

The tanks going all Leeroy Jenkins on the boss is one reason, if I can, I pick my dance partner and throw up Standard Step before the the gate goes down. That way if they do just run in, I can go straight into my Technical Step and throw everything at the boss right away(I do this in dungeons too, Standard Step is up 100% of the time, unless there is a wipe/someone AFKs or leaves and we are waiting long enough for a replacement)
