Getting real tired of people trying to shield bad playing by saying "I'm new" when the thing they failed to do correctly is not a new mechanic. Especially this far into the game's lifespan, most mechanics we see in new content are similar to older stuff. Stacks, push-backs you're not supposed to stand in the center of, etc. yet every day I see people just do the total opposite of what they're supposed to do and think saying they're new will protect them from criticism. Give a reason for why you failed to stand with everyone to share damage and let all the DPS die because you weren't even healing everyone when you ignored the very important mechanic. Of course, they failed every other mechanic, even the simple task of getting out of a scary circle under their feet, so I don't really know why I expected more from them.

To the mentor mad I passed loot in levelling roulette. Genuinely my bad, I auto pass on levelling roulette out of habit.

But since the ring was literally only three item levels higher than my materia melded ring then maybe if you're so keen on optimisation you should spend a little less time typing and more time DPSing? If Im not grossly under geared then chill, it's hardly "Intentionally trying to make the healers job harder" by forgetting to check every piece of loot in levelling roulette.

So, I get it when people are new to a dungeon, but for the LOVE OF GOD, LEARN TO READ! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY LEFT/RIGHT FIRAGA FORTE MEAN AFTER YOU GET HIT BY 2 OF THEM, WHY DO YOU THINK THE REST OF THE PARTY MOVES TO THE OTHER SIDE.

At least they're still not using starboard/larboard, even if those terms are more clearly the machine's left/right instead of your own.

Ironically i was doing temple of the fist yesterday and forgot all about that boss

I think people just forget that it's the boss's left and right, not theirs. And since the boss is fixed in place and always faces the party, they have to basically do the opposite.

Of course, I've also seen a few people who just try to ignore it and go hog on DPS instead of actually acknowledging the mechanics (and then get salty when they don't get raised immediately), so there's plenty of room for people just being bad, too.

If I have new people to the Dungeon, I wont tell them what to do, I will just do the mechanics and they either A : Understand whats going on after one or two times of getting hit. Or B : Notice that I am not getting hit and start to follow me. I dont expect anyone to go blind and not get hit. Im fine with you getting hit by mechanics, I gladly heal you and pop a shield on you so you survive the next mechanic that you mess up. But I wont go out of my way to keep you alive if you keep ignoring things, I wont say anything, not gonna risk getting banned because I might have hurt someone's feelings, but don't expect me pulling 150% when you cannot even give 80%.

As said, I get if you get hit by one or two, by the time it should probably click but ignoring it and getting by ALL 4 of them (Among other things) and not bothering to even do the mechanics because FU healer. Dude, I can heal, but 4-5 stacks of Vuln are a bit too much. I will let you floor tank, I will not go 150% just to keep you alive.

And to the Larboard and Starboard, you literally have to remember the letter L(arboard) L = Left. Its not rocket science.

to that reaper that stood in literally every single AOE and cast possible in the 81 dungeon: why do you do this? why do you keep standing in it despite experiencing it just a mere minute ago? why can't I be toxic and just let those people stay on the floor so that they may reflect on their horrible, horrible behaviour
how do you die around 6-7 times in that dungeon, 4 times on the last boss alone? and before anyone says that they weren't healed to full and died to a raidwide or unavoidable mechanic, I made sure that they were at full health every single time

I just wouldn't have bothered raising them. If I had my swiftcast up sure (at first), but otherwise they aren't getting back up. I can't stand there potentially getting hit by stuff, just to hardcast raise somebody who is just going to stand in and die in another mechanic immediately after. It's just not worth it. My best advice is to yeah, just stop raising people like that, let them reflect on their mistake.

Call me an egotist... As a healer I just have to "love" this flood of tanks that don't mitigate and cycle their reductions, pull big, and die... only to now commence passive aggressively single pull after that. Ugh.

My uncle has term for this we find most amusing. They are "saving their cooldowns or invuln for the second coming of christ and christ never came"

It boggles the mind because if you are saving something for emergencies then parish, what the heck do you consider emergency?
