To the brave little lala SGE who rescued me forward to do the full pull in Holminster: our wipe was inevitable, but I do admire your enthusiasm.

There was a reason why I was doing smallish pulls despite being overgeared, though. (The reason was a SGE and two RPR on day one.)

I've been meaning to ask, at what % DOES it pop?

Excog? Think it's supposed to be 50%. Can't remember and can't get in game to look.

First, there are few things I'd like to point:

• I understood that it's still pretty early into new expansion launch, so job changes from minor to radical ones will definitely knock some players off their game, experienced or inexperienced alike.
• There are also some portion of playerbase that only subs back to the game under major patches for the stories only. These players do not play all the time and it's completely normal to see them out of touch.
• SGE and RPR being the new job, I'm trying to not be nitpicky with whatever people doing with them. Heck I'd probably be clumsy myself, too!

Now that's out of the way... across all the roulettes I've done before daily reset and after reset, I've been seeing:
• MCH who sticks to their 1-2-3 and nothing else. Also has fatal attraction to red carpets.
• Solo DNC. Never AoEs. Steps are alien to them at… lv80.
• Your generic cooldownless & provokeless tanks (Mm gotta love tankbusters).
• Thunder Mages.
• Slow reader SMN (Aka just standing around half of the time).
• Your generic Cure I bot.

And to think I’m already seeing all of these from 2 days worth of roulettes… what a ride...

New jobs or not, it doesn't excuse people from doing mechanics proper. Almost wiped at ARR Titan today, cuz screw bombs, and almost wiped on Battle in the Big Keep cuz, first, screw killing Enkidu, not like he's healing the other guy, and second, screw killing adds, chains especially. We even bring the boss to the chains so it'll be harder to kill with that sweet 4 "damage taken reduced" buffs!
I swear, O11 normal with the same full on reaper-sage groups (excluding tanks, obv) wasn't giving me such a headache today as these 2 fights. Tunneling while being lost in new skills is one thing, but that's just ridiculous.

Just got out of a Rabanasty with similar experience...2 scholar, 4 sage, at least 5 reaper(none in my alliance...) and damned near wiped on first boss, second boss started casting submission towers, third boss saw Dark Geas TWICE...and lots of dead and chickenifications on final boss....

Geez, kind of glad I stuck with grinding up SGE so I didn't get into any low level raids/dungeons. That and due to a super low amount of tanks, I just didn't have the patience to wait.

Don't particularly have any tales of my own to share right now, aside from I am enjoying SGE, especially since I'm using Party Finder and having two SGEs and two RPRs groups. It's really fun not having a tank in the group; granted it's reduced to single pulls, which usually I don't like but with learning a completely new job it is quite enjoyable.

Farming levels in zadnor. full instance. only 2 fates up in south and mid. I go to z3. And see a huge group of people IDLE. like only 4 or so were trying to kill the robots so fates would spawn..... smh

Bumping this because the topics screeching about the queues pushed it back 12 pages... because we clearly needed a billion topics covering ONE THING...

Playing on an alt, trial roulette as SCH, get SoS. Okay, haven't done it in a while but I largely remember the mechs so it should be fine, right?

Made it clear at the start that I hadn't done it in a while but I died way more than I should have and it was just a never ending downward spiral from there. Yes, I wasn't the only person screwing up and some people were playing the new classes and still getting used to them, but rrrrgh. Fellow healer (new to the trial) ended up apologising after the second wipe, to which I emphatically responded that it was most definitely not their fault, and pointed out my own flub ups. Somehow even forgot to ever use Aether Pact or Seraph (hur duur, what are those? never heard of em!). We finished it on the third attempt but good-freaking-grief... talk about an off day...

Weeping City has truly regained its Wiping City status due to a combination of returners who haven't done it in forever and stat squish. Good thing I am currently leveling WHM.

By the way, did you know that if Ozma turns into its cube form and one or more of the tanks are dead, it'll pick other players to beam instead, and not necessarily in the alliance of the dead tank? Yeah, it picked one of our DPS and my alliance got murdered before we could even figure out what was happening. Luckily the remaining few people on the field managed to get its last % and we avoided a wipe.

Of course, it can never be as bad as on-content Mhach because almost everyone if not everyone who gets in now is overgeared, but still. Fun stuff. Maybe I'll manually queue for Dun Scaith...

Rolled in Alliances on NIN, queue poped with "they were here for an hour" text. Interesting. Got into Dun Scath at the very last encounter, I mean the second phase and all that. And man... I understand why the other guy left. What are mechanics, what is tanking, what are adds? Surprisingly, we didn't wipe this time, healers LB3 all the way. There was a lot of "get me out of here" after that. I don't want to know what happened before I joined, it's not hard to imagine, and I feel sorry for those guys. My worst runs didn't take an hour in here. Let's hope it stays that way.
