Soooo back to midas grinding and got Cuff of Son.
Round 1: Everything went well.... Until Vortexer. Its like you are shitting smoothly and suddenly BOOM EXPLOSIVE DIARRHOEA. Positioning of the ice wasn't good and well... Tank just had to put it in a way that is really impossible to avoid Ultra flash. Half of the party wiped but the one healer managed to get everyone back on track. Kudos to the awesome healer
Didn't get my stuff so I queued up with 2 other midas selections. I got Cuff of Son again. *prays*

Round 2: Brawler stage halfway through both tanks lost aggro and the boss turned to me. Welp i got squished and I was speechless. At least he didn't do a one tank buster facing the party. D:

In A6 Normal I had an OT Provoke off me right before he used attach. It was the Tank buster, and the OT didn't move. He said he thought it was Double. I just stood there looking at my entire dead party and said 'Well that just happened.'

Your friend has probably already told you, but I'll restate what they are here for those who don't know: The Balance is a straight damage buff, and The Arrow is an Attack Speed (that is, SkS, SpS, and AA speed) buff. Both are great for a bard, tho arguably a good BLM could make better use of The Arrow.

She normally gives me to more deserving classes, but depending on the party composition, or even just if she just wants to be nice to me because the other players are unfriendly mutes, she occasionally throws them my way I think, hahaha. And yes, she has. A few times I think ; I just never remember because I never notice them being thrown on to me I guess!

General jerk aside, they did get one thing right. Melee should be helping with padlock, there's no reason not to. The only exception is the main tank.

Agreed. I am a dragoon and i always go and smash the pad lock to bits whether there is ranged dps or not. Its not like the needles gonna KO you on the spot. :/

Sohm Al was new to the guy to heal so some mechanics need to be learned, if everybody do like you and kick those that have yet to attempt a place how you think that person is going to learn how the dungeon works if systematically that person is. kicked ?...yeah sure...no need to answer me that someone the guy was trying to heal a new place is being kicked for trying...even if dying into aoes

I think you misunderstood what I said. I meant to say that he never healed period. I wouldn't have cared at all if he hadn't healed the instance before since that's not a big deal. The guy had no idea how to play his class was the problem.

DPS should always go and break the padlock, no matter what type you are. The needles are only deadly if you're standing on them and get hit with something else, like the beam. Their disposition was uncalled for and should be reported, but being melee is not an excuse to ignore the padlock, because all melee groups can happen and can deal with this mechanic with no issue.


On a note of instance runs as of late, I had a pretty good one some time ago. I tend to queue with the BF as double DPS in Ex (MNK and BLM), and we got into Antitower. I forget to initiate the usual greeting, so we kind of go on our way. Everything was melting as usual, but the tank and healer were pulling good DPS too. Before the second boss, they comment on how surprised they were with the DPS being so high, and wishing they could commend us both. I say that we (the DPS) queued together, so it's not a big deal, but they also replied that they queued together. After we destroy the rest of the instance, we doled out the comms accordingly, said our thanks and good byes, and every one walked out with a comm.

Most runs are pretty good, but this one was memorable.

Because moments like this, all you can do is laugh at your own idiocy...

So I've been trying to get battlemage gear to drop for my alt and someone from my FC offered to spam it unsynced with his lvl60. So I'm not really paying any attention since he's pulling everything for shits and giggles (boss included) and melting them while we joke in chat and whatnot. He has to pop off, so I queue up solo. First run, no problem. Second run starts off like normal, then tank does a big pull so we can beat the maintenance only for my heals to suddenly do next to nothing. Now I've healed through huge pulls before-- on Bray no less. It's only then I realize literally all my gear had broke during those unsynced spams and I never noticed.

All I can say is at least they were good about it because that was a little embarrassing.

Too many trying to be impartial here. Who cares about the damn padlock. No player "nub" or otherwise should be spoken too in such a manner. I hope you reported them for harassment and for use of third party software.
