Did the scholar not have a faerie out? I know AV is the high end of ARR leveling dungeons, but the faerie should have at least tossed a couple heals your way throughout the run. Rough either way.Duty Finder for Aurum Vale is never disappointing. lol
My friend and I just go out of AV. My friend's the tank. Healer is a Scholar. Other DPS is an archer (might have been machinist), and I was a Summoner. Multiple times throughout the fight, both DPS (me and archer) died, and tank was left to go down to very low HP every time (like 600 range). Tank had to save himself with potions several times because Scholar wouldn't heal. We got to the room after first fruit morbol and I died again there because Scholar was too mesmerized with attacking the enemies than to heal people (note, I was avoiding orange attacks, just healer kept pulling baby morbols on us). I knew a heal wasn't coming and that was the third time it happened. Tank and I asked them why they aren't healing and he said "mechanics allow me to wait until last minute so im doing good". I pointed out that several of us have died numerous times because he won't heal, so maybe he isn't, and he said "am I supposed to do tanks job too?". I told him "no, just healers' job". Fights go on. We get to end boss. He's attacking and not healing either DPS, and continues to only heal tank when he's about to die. I was near death again, waiting for cure, nothing. So I said "That's alright, I'll heal myself Scholar.". And throughout the fight, I had to maintain both DPS (me and archer) with my pathetic little physick and had to occasionally heal tank, too.
If people don't want to heal, they shouldn't take the class. It's that simple, really.
Aurum Vale is the pretty much the embodiment of RNG experience with all roles.
But when nothing bad happens it is probably the best dungeon to feel good.
It is not even a hard dungeon but you can easily mess up compared to the rest of ARR
Ignoring that one person malding in their basement about inane things-- couple of stories.
One is my own: I finally land at the Titania trial on my MSQ alt.
We load in with a few sprouts, at least two of whom I assume were boosters. My assumption is confirmed by at least one - a WHM in unglamoured boost coffer gear who is off in the corner spamming Cure 3 on themselves, even when no damage is going out. When they aren't doing that, they're wiggling around... waiting for stuff to happen, I guess?
I want to also point out they only used Cure 3. For anything. No Medica 2, no Lilies, no Tetra, not even Cure 2. Sometimes they'd throw out a Benison... after damage went off.
No dps to speak of either - until I called them out for running around doing nothing while our other WHM was dpsing their heart out, at least. Ofc that WHM was also the one doing the majority of actual useful healing, since they were staying grouped up with the party rather than off in Narnia.
Considering we had some low damage due to one of the bards dying during the Mustard/Puck/Pease phase twice, and Puck+Pease killing one of the tanks because the other didn't pick one up... I'm surprised we managed to get past the dps check. To say I, my NIN dance partner, the other WHM, and the other BRD were carrying damage is an understatement.
Floor got set on fire though because the booster WHM ran out of their water circle right before the countdown finished. That was fun.
The MT also decided to spend from the adds phase up to the end of the trial arguing about kill order for the mobs, despite there being a reason most people kill Mustard > Puck > Pease in that order. He died because he was typing the whole time, obviously.
Titania continues to be a nightmare trial, but at least I only needed to do it the once before moving on.

The other story is from a friend of mine who ran into... either some very mentally deranged person, or a troll.
They landed in Anyder for roulettes, upon which a DRG asked if people could pass on stuff if they didn't need the gear upgrade. My friend, half-meme'ing, said they'd be rolling greed on everything. The DRG proceeded to rant about how rude they were being and how they needed it more to "rebuild Doma" (... ok buddy). They literally, within a few messages at the start of the dungeon, began asking the other players to kick my friend (she was on a dps) because she was "being rude" by exercising her right to Greed roll if she wants to (she needs GC seals). After my friend won the first coffer's rolls over them, they lost their mind and once again asked people to kick her because she was "making accusations" when she asked him to stop harassing her.
Also the typical garbage "wow you aren't doing something ~nice~? must be from WoW" drivel that this game's community sometimes likes to spout.
Then the penultimate showing: they finally drop out (good riddance) with the statement "i'm LEAVING. good luck without me"
... They were barely doing anything the entire dungeon, and died at least once during a mob pull because they were too busy typing and stood in an AoE.
Leaving the chatlog here for posterity, but man; genuinely can't tell if troll attempt or someone was just really Like That.

I don't use reddit much, if at all, but just look at tales of DF on there and you'll see some absolute specimen in some of those screens
To this day, I'm not entirely sure why people settled into this kill order when Mustardseed is the least threatening of the three adds in both phases...assuming people know how to dodge basic telegraphed AoEs.
He does not auto-attack or throw out any unavoidable AoEs, and his AoEs will still happen even after he's been KO'd in phase 2. For purposes of minimizing raid damage Peaseblossom > Puck > Mustardseed is better as only the first of the three has unavoidable AoE in phase 1, and in phase 2 they'll stop auto-attacking once their HP has been depleted.
I can only assume that the kill order in Extreme (Where Mustardseed needs to die first because he starts casting a party-wipe AoE after just a few mechanics) bled into normal out of force of habit despite being less then ideal.

I'd say both EX bleed out, and because mustard IS the least dangerous. Because two are being tanked, the third has to be not tanked, so you leave mustard untanked and burn mustard.
The community really needs to get over their WoW phobia. It's long past the irritation stage and is becoming genuinely, deeply toxic
I experienced one thing since I came back afther a one year break and that is the DPS pulling mobs...
I really want to know if I'm the only one who bugs that or if I'm just overreacting and this is a thing that just happens and the tank has to deal with it?
Even its so obviously the healer has trouble to keep the tank alive, the dps bashes foreward and keep pulling more mobs -.-
Sorry for harping on a dead horse but one point. People cannot pull ahead of you if you do not let them. :P Just got to be quicker W2W is not just a playstyle it is a way a of life. Hold W till something stops ya either death or a wall.
