I would’ve stopped after he ignored me the first time, it’s apparent they either don’t care or aren’t paying attention or a combination of both. Then you stoked the fire by being snarky.
Well I didn't know if he was actually ignoring me or not until the second time because not a lot of time passed ( also loot rolls took up screen ).
I only realized he was ignoring me after the second time.
I think that flipping out because I was a tiny bit snarky is pretty unjustified.
I mean my standards for rudeness etc are fairly low, but I see that as more tongue-in-cheek it wasn't aggressive at all.

This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
GCBTW, it's always fine to insult and be toxic against toxic players like you :^)I had an earlier case that was similar in a Nier raid before where a SAM was standing on top of me constantly when I was tanking ( again no positionals, and he was dying repeatedly from the tank buster aoe ).
When I pointed it out he seem'd grateful but the rest of the raid flipped out on his behalf and acted like I was publically shaming him and as if I had called him garbage etc which I absolutely didn't...
It feels like any time you try and help someone and it's gameplay related people lose their minds and act like you're calling them trash or are trying to FORCE them to play one way.
The worst part is that the SAM then seem'd to have ignored my advice and kept making the same mistakes, maybe because he thought since the raid flipped out on me I was the one being wrong and he shouldn't listen to me.
So yeah, great job guys...
or if you disagree, after all - we're a nice and welcoming community!
will be cool if hall of novice teached about basic MARKS , stack , spread , knockback ectwell i dont know if it was possible. but if i wasnt a healer it might happen, a wipe in Toto-Rak. i mean when you tell tank to use aoe or anything or just watch when there are more then one enemy to look if enmity is on you and not on dps or heal. or telling them at final boss to attack tail or anything and not having that green puddle all over the area... this game seriously need some gating, like you will not be able to join any roulette or duty without doing Hall of the Novice, which could be upgraded because current desing is bad i think. more to actually teach you how to play. i dont mean single pulls but if you see your party is capable of bigger and youre in Ala Mhigo, you should know what this game offer when bigger pulls . or healer not knowing there is esuna . the worst thing nobody responded when i told them something or actually when they asked they didnt wait /did it wrong anyway. people really should more care about how they are playing.

I've been trying to get clear parties going for a few friends who know most of E4S at this point so they can start farming. We only managed to get 1 clear party and then people left after they got their loot. The biggest headache I keep running into is apparently recruiting people who don't understand that a PF labelled as "Duty Completion" or "Loot" does not mean "Wait I'm not ready, watching a guide atm" at ready check. One even messaged me "Hey I have no savage experience, can I join".
I have zero issues with people w/o raid experience joining. But that's what practice parties are for.![]()

Well I think this is a larger issue with a lot of people in general not being capable of understanding context or looking at things from a broader perspective, everything is looked at from the most shallow way.
So if someone makes literally any comment that has anything to do with even trying to entertain the idea of helping other players with anything gameplay related they're not capable of understanding that it's different than someone trying to tell you or force you how to play.
I am not a freaking mind reader, I have no clue if someone is intentionally not playing correctly or if they're actually a bit lost and need help ( nor do I know for a fact if someone is ignoring me or if they missed it unless I try again, nor do I know that they'll have an extreme overreaction to even a hint of a joke that might be dry or snarky ).
To me just sitting there and letting someone get hit by the tank buster three times in a row and then continue doing it is being the bad one ( not to mention hitting the boss from the front as SAM ), I think I'd be the bad person for being quiet about it and not even attempting to help.
But these people genuinely don't seem to understand that me saying something in that situation is different than me telling someone that they suck at the game and should feel bad about it because they missed a positional or whatever.
It's a minority of people but they're out there, not just in FFXIV but I think that people who just aren't capable of dealing with nuance are a thing at large.
It's the same with other things too, '' you like this content therefore you're this kind of a person '' when in reality they're just projecting how they view it and their personal opinion unto everyone else.
There's a lot of people that unironically don't understand nuance with anything.
Edit: It's the same with me being snarky in the situation I mentioned.
There is a huge difference between someone intentionally ignoring me which I think is really passive aggressive and annoying especially in a MULTIPLAYER game, and then me being a bit snarky all like '' oh so you do have ears '' when they respond to someone else or something.
And if I in that situation would've been all like '' *name*, forgot your positionals this morning? ''.
I mean I still think it'd be silly to overreact to the second, but I still think that the two are wildly different.
If you intentionally ignore someone and they're all like '' heh, I see you '' when you respond to someone else, I really don't think that's a big deal or the same thing as trying to make snide comments essentially implying '' you suck ''.
Two different things entirely.
But it often feels like they're treated the same, and someone can literally curse me out and have a massive mental breakdown about me trying to help because of that snarky response and suddenly it's my fault.
Even if they don't want help they could just say that instead of ignoring and then having a mental breakdown about it, but nah it's always the person trying to help at fault it seems.

This is a public service announcement:
if you are VERY tired, don't q for anything and just go to bed. Especially if you are a healer. Tanks are not supposed to die to trash pulls before the first boss. Not during the first boss. Not after the first boss. And especially not wiping the party at second boss.
Thank you for listening, have a good day (or sleep).
