Had a friend once that had problems with how the shiva arena looks. Like all the blue and white colours. She said it would hurt her eyes.I queued Trials Roulette as SCH in progress and got a 0 minute duration pop. I thought it was gonna be those usually hard or annoying duties. But I somehow got Shiva (Hard). Our team smoothly beat the boss in one attempt and I got 2 commendations in the end.
I am perplexed as to why the last healer left that duty as the instance is not too tough and it's usually cleared fast with the way players are geared. It is what it is and I guess I'll never know.
Or that cotank i had a long time ago in the nidhogg trial. He simply said he doesnt like fighting dragons and than fake dc'ed.
While possible he meant what fighting dragons in this game is like, or the specific battles with dragons he's done, I choose to believe he is just a man who loves dragons so much he cannot bear to harm them.
But also cannot bear to take a penalty.
A bit of a silly one. Not gonna go into too much detail.
Eden Furor. Loads of newbies. Me on scholar (my burger king emblem is off, besides 'o/' I wasn't speaking as I do tend to stay silent and see how things unfold before I hand out my advice).
At some point, I have noticed a few people following me. Nin was so keen that when I had a blue aoe line on me (and the rest of his tribe learned to dodge it by then) he stood by me as well. RIP. XD Made me laugh.

(multiple deaths but we cleared with no wipes so WIN in my book)
A recent leveling roulette run I had just reminded my of the first time I tried tanking Bardam's Mettle.
I was just a warrior still in level 60 tomestone gear, inexperienced, and still a sprout. Everyone else in my party was a sprout too!
I proceeded to pull everything, unaware of the mob difficulty spike, until I had pulled all the things to the door. It went exactly as well as you can imagine.
That moment when you are doing SoS on an alt for their clear as a whm, get propped up by your fc mates who came in as your co-healer and two tanks, pass the checkpoint and get stacked up on by one of the smn in your party with Earthshaker because they mistook it for a stack marker...I'm dead while smn lived.
Then shortly after get raised...right into the lb2 stack marker with too few in it, with Transcendence wearing off too soon.

This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
On the plus side that is better than stacking 2 stack markers together. Had that happen the other week. Just thinking about it makes my body hurt.

I've been watching the healer spam adlo on me while running Anamnesis Anyder at 80%, but I was a WAR and I was just... T__T I couldn't even use half of my healing kit without it turning into overheal.
The rare occasions they put an Excog on me was wasted because they would just heal it with more adlos/lustrates or my mitigations and Nascent Flash would just heal that damage off later. I don't think they used Seraph at all in that instance. Poor ninja who was new to the instance was dying a couple of times since he didn't understand the mechanics. I tried to help him out with Nascent Flash, Reprisal, and Shake it off whenever I can but it wasn't enough since he ends up eating all the AoEs. A shame that healer didn't pay them more attention than me, lol.
On the last boss, I think everyone pretty much failed the step and prevent adds from popping up mechanic check other than me. Thankfully, even with 2 DPS with weakness debuff, it's still easy enough to recover since there's no real punishing mechanic there.
From here on I am just not going to help people...
DRG lvl 79 spent whole dungeon in Mt. Gulg camping rear not moving an inch, I thought he was new and had boosted or something and ignored to read abilities ( I never said that tho ) and asked him if he wasn't doing positionals or if I was blind ( I am not, I pay attention ).
He ignores me.
I ask again and he ignores me.
Healer dies at second boss and he says something like '' where is healer? '' and I go '' so you do speak afterall ''.
So he asks me if I had asked a question and I bring it up again, and there's a humongous afk:like pause as if he's thinking about what to say for forever before saying '' true north '' ( keep in mind that he doesn't move an inch for the whole fights ).
I mention that I was talking about the whole fight and that true north only lasts for a short while and he flips out at me and becomes really rude as if I had committed a crime against humanity.
Tank seems confused and doesn't know how things work too and defends him by bringing up true north again.
I point out that I am just trying to help and was a bit irritated that he had ignored me ( referring to the speak comment before ).
And he flips out again about how he's irritated that I am telling him what to do...
I say that I am not a mind reader I don't know if he's new and have boosted and am just trying to help which makes him even angrier lol....
I dunno what it is with some people, if you don't want to do positionals and just want to play that way I am not trying to tell you what to do.
People need to stop reacting to people trying to help as if it's a personal attack.
Either they get really mad, ignore you or they blatantly lie to your face about having read guides when I know for a fact that they haven't.
I had an earlier case that was similar in a Nier raid before where a SAM was standing on top of me constantly when I was tanking ( again no positionals, and he was dying repeatedly from the tank buster aoe ).
When I pointed it out he seem'd grateful but the rest of the raid flipped out on his behalf and acted like I was publically shaming him and as if I had called him garbage etc which I absolutely didn't...
It feels like any time you try and help someone and it's gameplay related people lose their minds and act like you're calling them trash or are trying to FORCE them to play one way.
The worst part is that the SAM then seem'd to have ignored my advice and kept making the same mistakes, maybe because he thought since the raid flipped out on me I was the one being wrong and he shouldn't listen to me.
So yeah, great job guys...
I mean if you're lvl 79 or 80 and you don't know or don't bother with positionals I am honestly worried about you, I am trying to help out of concern but people just get mad it's so tiresome.
Edit: Ingame I try and sugarcoat it as much as possible on purpose as to not upset people, that's what makes it even more baffling to me.
There's like no way to try and help people, sometimes people don't even know that they're doing something wrong and needs someone to point it out to them.
ONLY helping when people ask for help is not actually all that helpful sometimes.

Finally! After all this years in FF i found Ice Mage! He used only Blizzard III, IV and Foul all his way through Amaurot. I'm happy!
