I probably should just say, generally, I like to have everything on keybinds. Probably a holdover from my PvP days (not that I've given that up) - you die if you couldn't react fast enough. My right hand is pretty much always on my mouse for camera movement as well. I think the mouse I'm using is actually more suited for shooters, rather than mmmorpgs.

To be honest, I don't know how anyone could run out of keybinds. I don't even use an MMO mouse, and I restrict my numbered binds to like 5, because anything past it is uncomfortable for me.

Thanks, I still think it's pretty basic. It's mostly just quite scaled down, but I also don't like my bars in the middle of my screen. I prefer them out of the way, but then I don't like combat bars completely out of the way, so I wouldn't put them on the side either..

My mouse is just one that came with my keyboard. Something like this, but cheaper.





a few examples of my ideology for huds - things that I typically click anyways, go outside of keybinds. long recast timer? no need for a keybind. does it mean im left with weird empty spaces?
... yeah. do i like that? not that much, im working on it. but i've yet to run outta keybinds anytime soon.

Edit: RIP it's 8:30 am and i've clearly not been paying attention to DPS skill placement because the skills i need to be in the same spot everytime are each in different spots EVERY TIME. this is what happens when you choose to edit your huds on not enough sleep, kids. don't do it.

I have RSI in my right wrist and require an ergonomic mouse or my arm goes numb.

It's why I don't use one

If price isn't an issue, I recommend getting an ergonomic mouse with 2 programmable keys. This way you can program shift and ctrl onto those keys so you don't have to worry about wrist mobility.

LUL if they really wanted to use all their skills they would have found a system that works for them already. Problem is content can be cleared even if a few people are not able to use their full kit if others are willing to pick up the Slack.

Though I will say I never understood why people say this game has buttan bloat, yet praise the higher GCD. End of the day the weaving aspect is what makes the longer GCD bareable. Unless people want a system similar to PvP single button chains for certain combos button bloat and longer gcd will always go hand in hand.

How do you run out of binds with dancer? The rotation isn't that huge.

Ya'all have some neat HUD arrangement! Meanwhile I purposely leave few spaces blank in case I need to drag some macro chats into those free spaces. I.e. like danger bongos & pvp call outs. (I use 4 hotbars actively, the other 6 being a mix of dailies & compact dropdown menu.)

speaking of DF though - and as much as I criticize the average DF player: grinding the last two relic steps through the DF the last few days, I gotta say that 90% of them went by super quick mostly cus it was other people grinding as well most likely :3 but I'm not gonna complain about that!

I thought the Syrcus Tower run I had where we nearly wiped to Scylla's enrage yesterday was bad but uh.

They probably referring to her ultimate attack (Ancient Flare or Daybreak). They're not enrage but can wipe the raid if handled poorly.

And it was handled poorly. I have a screenshot of despair showing two whole alliances dead and like five people left alive in the one. There's only so much you can do to keep yourself alive through three back-to-back raidwides as a DPS when both your healers are dead and you have no SMN.

And it was still more pleasant that dealing with the other jerk.

I don't know what it is but lately CT raids have brought out the clownshows.

I had a AFK in DRN yesterday.
He left his group at the beginning and then just died every fight and didn't except the a rezz.

Once his 10 min death timer was over he joined us back into the fight and instantly ran into a death zone to stay dead again.

Got a reply to my report within 5min so I hope he is banned now.
