A little PSA on behalf of my daughter: She was running Matoya's Relict as a Dancer (Light datecentre) just a few moments or so ago. Her monitor suddenly stopped working in said duty, and she obviously couldn't see anything so it probably looked like she just stopped up and, well, stopped altogether. We did turn the pc off very soon after so hopefully the people she was running with were able to kick her from party and get another DPS in pronto.

My kid just wants to apologise for any inconvenience - she didn't abandon you guys, whoever you are, in case you're reading this, and we all hope you finished with no problems! <3

Oh wow. That brings back memories. That has happened to me before, when the power has gone out. I have my PC hooked up to a UPS, but not my monitor, so it will go off with the power, though I do blindly type what's wrong.

In her case, I'm sure it was fine. It just being a DPS would have been a quick replacement.

Another DPS took their stack marker to mine and got me and two others killed. I do love dying because others still to this day don't know what a stack marker is. I'm surprised we even one shot it with how bad the run was. I had weakness going into the add phase and ALL other dps got teleported off the arena. Barely cleared even with me using caster LB2 (especially since the tanks kept separating them, I had to very carefully place it between them).

Edit: We saw Aspected portals three times total.

(As a side rant, i hate LEARNING PTs which are BRAND NEW, who have strict iLvs way above minimum. And in the case of Emerald, was annoying since i490 was more than good enough, my whole group was a pug group in the 488-494 range, and its the entry fight to start savage, so it shouldnt have had such a high iLv req, much less PFs requiring 510 or 515 just to learn the fight...)

Personally I can understand requirements above the minimum. Sure 490 is enough in a competent group who know their class, but you can't guarantee that in PF. Setting an ilv of 510 simply puts a check of: "Do you care enough about contributing to the team that you could be bothered to run Eden normal for a week or two and farm a minor amount of gil for crafted pieces to reach 510". If you couldn't be bothered to even do that much before stepping into EX or above, there's a high risk you're a player who can't be bothered to learn your class or prepare either. It's a shame for the skilled alts, but it's not really a high barrier either.

I think it was fine, yeah. If someone in your party has to be replaced, it's always better if it's a DPS!

The monitor got "fixed" anyway; after some dust bunny clean-up and checking cables, the kid was back in-game later on with no further problems.

I was queuing as a tank for dungeon roulettes before reset
I get in Amaurot- I see my party; SCH, MNK & NIN
they're dressed like the afker's in Limsa- I actually thought to myself that it would be a bad time
Get to 1st boss; (the freddy krueger worm boss)
Boss is about to drop meteors- the SCH & MNK run to the NIN (who seemed to be the only one knowing his rotation) They drop the meteors in the corners then run to opposite side of the Arena
-Boss Casts Falling Sky - Group can't hide behind rocks since they're too far into the corners, so they all die except me; so I eventually died

Meteors again: I've told them not to drop boulders so far into the corners since we have to hide behind them
SCH & MNK run to the NIN again; they follow him in an attempt to place meteors on him it looked like
MNK & I survive, SCH & NIN die again but we eventually die

So, I get the Great Gubal Library in my leveling roulette, and quickly noticed things were dying rather slowly.

The RDM was not using AoEs at all and more concerningly was only spamming Jolt. They did not have the excuse of being new as they were decked out in full shire gear (Though still using the RDM starter weapon...) and several jobs at 80 already.

I started to suspect that they might be using a bot as when we got to the first boss, they got hit by literally every mechanic and did not even try to avoid anything, the instakill included. They were also moving very erratically and did not respond when me and the others started prodding them as to why they were putting zero effort into their gameplay.

At that point, I probably should've just tried to kick and replace them but with it being as late as it was, I just put up with it until the end of the instance reasoning it would probably take longer to finish that way. It turned that they were not a bot in the end and just an exceptionally lazy player as after testing them a bit more they did some things a bot would definitely not do, like examining me when I waited at one of the bosses to see if they'd pull it and kill themselves

Haven't done it in months and barely remembered the portals, so of course I had to get E8 in trial roulette and flub it up. Died more than I should have, and once had to ask for a rez (that was my first death) after the other healer rezed a dps who died after me instead, leaving me on the floor for some reason... despite me instantly rezing her when she died prior to me, and each time she died after. /shrug. Definitely not my best performance, I freely admit, but what the heck? I was hardly the only person dying there, and rezed a number of people myself. None of us looked good that run.

That awesome feeling when the DF group you're matched with just clicks so well with you.
Yesterday, helped my newcomer friend to get just a little bit more moogle tome so that they can get their 50 tome mount by queueing into Wanderer's Palace.

Cleared one from four runs we had within 8m with full wall pulls at every opportunity. It's been a while since the last time I had such fun from lv50 contents as a healer

The awesome feeling of queing for dungeons roulettes, the PT its composed by BLM/SMN/WHM/PLD fully geared but the tank pulls 1 by 1.

Who doesn't love doing a dungeon in 1 hour.
