I had an expert roulette today where the healer never used AOE on trash pulls, I complained about them in a linkshell. the run could have been minutes faster if they just used AOE's.

pls roast me daddy Ralph2449 OwO tell me I'm a dirty no good toxic elitist, convince me I'm a bad Viera and I shouldn't value my own time at all and shouldn't expect, request or desire people to play at a basic fundamental level for the given content, pls

I expect a bare minimum from a player who is not new or a returner and with level 77 gear he does not meet them.

One always enjoys a smooth run with a well oiled team - but as long as his technique is ok and the party isn't at each other's throats; I would enjoy the challenge. It's a nice change from the average to break the boredom. Using the oh-crud buttons gets the heart pumping.

If his technique was also painful, on top of being overly squishy, then yep, I can only grit my teeth so hard before I admit it's beyond my ability to heal through.

Don't bother arguing, just report and ignore. Guy's legitimately either a troll or deluded, but either way, not worth the time trying to respond to.


Also if you go into a level 80 dungeon with non-80 gear despite the copious amount of ways the game offers you level 80 gear - you are lazy, plain and simple. Worse so if you are not a new player.


What's also lazy, is RDMs who won't bother to res the one single healer in a group during Delubrum, because said healer keeps eating Doom. When we have maybe 3 healers top through the entire raid, please god use a core function of your job to make sure the run doesn't wipe.

Relic grind has given me trust issues on top of the ones I already had.

Get off your high horse, mate, I am a champion filthy casual, so don't try that with me. This is also not my first go at asking people to play nice. It's just this time it happens to be you, whose message I don't actually disagree with that much, but whose methods suck royal eggs: you're just getting people's backs up and losing your message.

Now here I say again: I don't disagree there are some people who are cruel to others and use numbers as a metaphorical stick to beat others with. And again I say to you, personally, this is not the way to get through to people - if that is your goal. Stop it. Back off. Go again with kinder words. The more you repeat this line of attack, literally calling people names, the more you lose them. I am asking you to stop it, as you're harming more than helping with this strategy. It's also why you're being tagged as a troll. I think if you're honest about this, you'd do well to change your tactics. And honestly, it doesn't matter what the disagreement is. Game, or life in general. Standing on a soapbox yakking at people to change changes nothing.

And if you're trying to be personal back with me and pick me apart, okay. Just know when I run content with other people, I want me and everyone with me to be happy. If they're not, and I can do something about it, I want to know about it, I want their side of things. How can I expect them to get my side if I don't accommodate theirs? I don't have to agree with them but solutions will not be amicably reached if everything is one-sided. I do actually adapt to situations. I ask questions if I need to. I hand out tips, or say nothing if I don't need to. I have never been called "tryhard", I have never been insulted, I have never been kicked from a duty, and as far as I know, I've never been singled out. I do not parse, don't care if others do so long as we keep shush about it and they don't bully people with it. There is discussion for the latter, for sure.

My other advice for you, should you wish it, is non-game related. Leave religion out of it. That's a thorny path that could go poorly for you (I am, however, not religious other than generally trying to go with "an' it harm none, do what ye will"), as I have a feeling it's not a good place to bring it up and don't want you to get into bother over it.

Feel free to look me up on the Lodestone (messages are a thing there yeah? EDIT: I have a blog post under this character which replies can be added to) or in-game if you ever get the way of my server. I'll happily talk to you about this and not clog up this particular thread (always extended to anyone, regardless of point of view, if they're having general issues with others in game. You just need to introduce yourself first if it's on the server and mention the forum so I don't go paranoid freakout!).

Speaking of trust issue within relic grind errand, I’d like to add something more positive in the spectrum about that

DR (Normal), just now.
I thank you that 3 player from same party who had [Lost Cure IV] equipped for trusting me to keep you all alive through unavoidable damages, despite being the only healer (WHM) in the party.
I thank you & the rest of the party for not freaking out when I did not immediately top everybody up cause I didn’t want to waste Seraph Strike buff window.
I thank you and all other raid member for making that raid a smooth sailing of 29m run. That was the best one I ever had.

... Just 28 more runs to go then I’m outta DR. . I’m almost there!

As someone who comes into patches late, its not too crazy, depending on circumstances. (and in some cases, it is crazy) When i jumped into the fights, i wanted to get some practice and or an E9S clear before the reset, and plenty of ppl complained i had an iLv of 500 (This was with the 510 from normal).
The following week, I had plenty of time to get higher iLv, though still not 510. (I think i was 505?) But yah, the min iLv is usually kinda low for whats needed, but for 3rd/4th floors, thats not always the case, sometime it is needed, and sometimes its not. (I cant speak for E11S, as i never actually tried it yet)

But yeah, in a clear PT for a 3rd floor, they should be higher than 500.

(As a side rant, i hate LEARNING PTs which are BRAND NEW, who have strict iLvs way above minimum. And in the case of Emerald, was annoying since i490 was more than good enough, my whole group was a pug group in the 488-494 range, and its the entry fight to start savage, so it shouldnt have had such a high iLv req, much less PFs requiring 510 or 515 just to learn the fight...)

A little PSA on behalf of my daughter: She was running Matoya's Relict as a Dancer (Light datecentre) just a few moments or so ago. Her monitor suddenly stopped working in said duty, and she obviously couldn't see anything so it probably looked like she just stopped up and, well, stopped altogether. We did turn the pc off very soon after so hopefully the people she was running with were able to kick her from party and get another DPS in pronto.

My kid just wants to apologise for any inconvenience - she didn't abandon you guys, whoever you are, in case you're reading this, and we all hope you finished with no problems! <3
