not the lvl 89, but the lvl 81 one to finally start to level another class, but I had the same question at the end:

what has this person seen that they post this as everyone is loading in? what horrors have they experienced?
they were great, too, which made it even more baffling

The real sad part about that is them assuming Cure 1 spam would get them kicked by crappy players. Those are the exact people who wouldn't notice or care, lmao??

I had something similiar in expert roulette.
Got a tank that asked right at the start if I'd be okay with trying to pull more than one pack and I said that he can just go wall to wall on every pull. It went really well, he nailed his mitigation and I had so little to heal on Sage that I jokingly asked, if he even needs a healer.
He later told me when someone needed to afk real quick that he did this dungeon 5 times in a row this day and no matter which class the healer was, they weren't able to heal more than one pack, he even died to single pulls a few times and demanded small pulls or they'd leave.

I don't even know how it's possible to let a tank that mitigates well die on single pulls. You could probably heal single pulls with just Cure 1/ Physick/ Diagnosis/ Benefic 1 as his HoC/ Aurora takes care of most of the healing.
He was gushing over me the entire dungeon while I was just hammering Dyskrasia and thanked me profusely after the run and I felt it was so undeserved because all I did was throw out some oGCDs. He was really good. But someone hurt the poor thing.

When a tank single pulls I don't even need to heal really. That tank's healers must have not been doing DPS, and their DPS must have not been doing DPS.

I had several memorable runs since early access, but to avoid cluttering the post I’ll just pick one from many: Tower of Babil.

No first timer. Just a GNB, WHM, DNC (me), and one other melee DPS that I couldn’t recall which one exactly. WHM was a regen/cure/medicabot. Holy III does not exist. At least they were still willing to throw out some Dias. My heart as an observant healer main was desperately trying to ignore all these details in futile.

Fast forward to 2nd boss, WHM died very early into the encounter. I was expecting the party would just force a wipe to reset but that didn’t happen, so I sticked with them. I tried my best to abuse stacked curing waltz, flashing improvisation for a 500p regen, second wind, shield samba, and even pocket super potions that I kept handily available at all times. We pulled through without any wipe, and honestly it was such a fun ride.

While we’re waiting for the WHM to run all the way to the elevator, they typed: ”This feels like I’m not needed “

How is that even possible... as a Sage, if the tank is doing small pull, you literaly dont have to heal him once if you keep dpsing... maybe once in a while press the healing buff but other than that, green dps 99% of the time

Decided to give Sage a try yesterday with a leveling roulette after setting my skills bars up. Got Dzamael Darkhold, 23 min in progress. They were just after the first boss. Tank was a sprout DRK, the DPS were a sprout DNC and a RDM. After the first pull I think I know why the other healer left...tank didn't dodge AoEs and I didn't see a single mitigation used. Admittedly, I could have missed it because I realized shortly after getting into combat I forgot to add Swiftcast, Surecast, and Esuna, to my bars. Also forgot to add the Sage res to my res macro, so I was doing that while running between mobs. While getting Swiftcast onto my bar, the tank and DNC did die(they were both at full health one second, the next they are dead and the RDM is almost dead). Ended up getting them both up and had no other issues the rest of the time, other than the non-dodging and no mitigation.

Tanked lvl 90 story dungeon this morning, all went well till the last zone. I almost died on last trash group cuz my cursor decided it's time to target WHM and not a baddy, so I applied TBN on them instead of myself. Thankfully, mobs died faster.
Then I died twice on boss, collecting vuln stacks like an idiot. Sigh. I'm glad we didn't wipe, but that was embarassing on my part. Apologized, got no harsh words, thankfully.
Note to self: don't jump straight into Experts as soon as you log in, especially if you haven't finished your first coffee yet.

The moment when the batteries of both the wireless keyboard and mouse die and you are spectating the show, on a healer...or you thought that was happening.
But it turns out it glitched the bluetooth as windows was trying to update, that was the fun part.
