I don't want to live in a timeline where a healer using their second most basic healing spell after vigorously fishing for a freecure proc can be considered "good".
Someone wake me up from this simulation already.
Could have been worse. They could have been healing themselves off in a corner (at full health) with medica! (Which happens)
WHM | RDM | DNC
I know back when I was leveling AST I would just throw cards on random people...but then I was just grinding it to 80 and not playing it at level cap, I'd put in the time to actually learn what cards are better on melee vs ranged if I was going to play it at end game. Just leveling to 80 though for the sake of capping all jobs I just handed them out without thinking too much.Back to the orginal topic...
Had a df experience yesterday in an 80 dungeon where the AST was barely using any cards, and when they DID use cards, they never put them on anyone else except themselves. I'm not sure if they hated Casters (I was RDM and the other person was a BLM) and whatever the tank was, but the BLM asked about it and nothing changed. Was bizzare.
Player
Hey mine too. Neat.
Had a clencher of a CLL earlier today that I thought I'd share.
I hadn't even intended to hang around for CLL to pop. I'd just done my weekly DR run and popped in to Bozja because I had a rank up coming to me and I wanted to dump off field notes. Normal maintenance stuff. Anyway I was browsing menus when CLL popped and I thought "hey why not, I still need infinite of these... what could possibly go wrong?" Entered on RDM and found out what could possibly go wrong.
The party that picked me up had no healers. Apparently the instance was a little short on them overall. Well... I'm a RDM... And I have an ordrained and some lost cure 4 in my holster for just such an occasion. Another RDM in the party said the same thing so we decided it'd be ok as long as people avoided standing squarely in the death. Our party went to the top for the first boss. The first pull went "ok" as far as standing in the death goes. We healed the raid-wides and did the occasional raise. Unfortunately the bottom group couldn't cut either the mustard nor the boss down there, so we ended up wiping to the big death colossus of punishment. We respawn with 7 minutes left on our timer and there's nothing to do but pull again as quickly as humanly possible and just sort of hope it all works out. Well it did. We got the first boss down with 30 seconds to spare and we were off to the races.
At this point we asked if another party had a glut of healers and if we could please have one. We managed to pick up a WHM and I un-clenched a little. The instance didn't have a full complement of players so we did lose a couple of the prisoners but overall did fine on that section. The boss after that actually went ok. Couple hiccups but nothing major and nothing unrecoverable.
Then the last boss happened.
So the usual splitting off to form the Lyon group and our party lost our second RDM. Should be ok right... as long as people don't f up Obey? Right? Well I hadn't accounted for the possibility that we could all do Obey correctly but the Lyon group couldn't ... y'know ... beat Lyon. So that was a wipe. Now we're under the gun again with about 10 minutes left on the instance timer (fyi, wiping in CLL is Bad™). We all sit up on our chairs and go back in for the last ditch effort. No time to rearrange anything so we have to hope the Lyon party figured out their malfunction and pull the boss again as quickly as possible. The good news here: The Lyon party figured it out and won their fight. The bad news: the rest of the raid forgot how to Obey. I must have raised 30 people during this fight including our lone little WHM right before getting myself killed by an AoE I swear to this day I was out of... grumble grumble... It was a zombie fest for sure but we managed to get the boss down with about 3 minutes to spare on the timer. Now I'm relatively new to CLL myself. I've only done it a handful of times, but this was by a wide margin the clenchiest run I've ever done... of anything. I've never considered the instance timer to be one of the bosses, but hoo boy it sure is here.
Hat's off to that WHM. We pulled each other through that and they did a hell of a job.
The tanks performed so badly at World of Darkness that the parties wiped out multiple times at the first and 2nd boss XD Yes, all tanks and all alliances. I played as Astro but there is only so much I could do healing and reviving people that kept dying before I couldn't keep up with all the mayhem, ahahahah.
After yet another wipe in 2nd boss someone voted to leave the dungeon, I chose no because I wanted to keep going but alas most picked yes so it ended just like that. Too bad, because I wanted to experience the chaos more, lol.
Quite funny and amusing.

tl;dr We had a troll Dark Knight who forced a wipe in Seat of Sacrifice, wiped at Will of Defiance. They then proceeded to autorun pull the boss an additional four times before someone managed to very quickly boot this guy. Of course after that the summoner disconnected on the next pull so we wiped on Will of Defiance again. Got them replaced and "then" we cleared a trial we otherwise should have one shot.
It's like Alexander Prime limit break trolling all over again.
I get tone and the way someone says something matters a lot to people, but even if advice is given in a so called "toxic" way does not make the advice any less useful. Had a DPS get upset over another DPS not using their AoE's granted they told them in a harsh way but still.
Might've also been a bot. I've noticed with bot tanks that they just keep running into the next best mob after a wipe and obviously don't react to any form of communication.tl;dr We had a troll Dark Knight who forced a wipe in Seat of Sacrifice, wiped at Will of Defiance. Got into a Holmonster Switch last night while leveling my Dragoon. The other DPS was a Ninja. This dude never once used any of his Mudras. At all. Mudra have that distinct sound that even the rest of the party can hear. Didn't even use Mudra for Huton. When asked by the rest of the party why, we never got a reply. But during the first boss, dude flipped his lid because I had the nerve to Dragon Sight the Warrior and not the Ninja doing only maybe half of the DPS a Ninja should normally be doing. I simply ignored him and kept buffing the Warrior. I'm not going to waste a DPS cool down on someone who's not doing DPS.
I know ppl going afk in Prae is a thing and always has been. But I must say since I am running msq roulette again for the easy mog tomes while I work on something at my desk, it always gives me a chuckle when someone cannot be bothered to do anything outside of move their mouse so they don't get auto removed, throughout the entire dungeon and moments before the last boss is pulled, a vote kick is initiated...and passes
