Cure 3 spam in Matoya's Relict.
That's it.
That's the tale.
Reminds me of a healer I had in Susano for Trials Roulette, who would never use Medica 2 (or even normal Medica). Only used Cure 3 on stack markers and during the raid-wide AoE move he does.
Me, staring them directly in the eyes, silently asking, "Why??"
For some reason it seems like I've been matched with people who are either new or don't care about mechanics in DF lately, hmmmmm.
Well, I don't personally mind doing long DF runs with people who screwed up here and there, actually it's been more fun if people screw up now and again, hahaha.
Eyes of the Creator is almost always a struggle because it reveals both a lack of situational awareness and a lack of ability to follow basic instructions. Even if the whole "bring the cores to the robots" is explained, oftentimes it's done wrong. And then they aren't brought to the area about to be submerged, again despite explanations. Sometimes Faust is ignored. Sometimes he's brought to the lava. And sometimes— and this is the most annoying, to me— he is either picked up by the main tank or picked up by the OT but still brought right next to the boss's massive fist. And then, you know, everyone starts dying, because we're being pummeled while we try and kill the add.
Very, very basic stuff. I won't pretend to never have messed up mechanics, even ones I'm familiar with, but boyyy.
Also today the main culprit in being unable to follow basic instructions and also bringing Faust to where the main tank was twice was a mentor. Which I guess really brings home what good luck I've had with mentors up until this point.
Tanks, please. For the love of god, if you see the ENTIRE PARTY ahead of you, pop sprint. It isn't that hard. It helps you move faster, it helps you pick adds up quicker before they eat someone else, it even puts you out of auto attack range for some enemy types! Use sprint! It makes everyone's lives easier! Please!!!
Sincerely, a healer who wasn't even sprinting and still managed to get aggro on everything because you had to chase down a few mobs you missed with Unleash on your way towards a chest.
The guy wanted loot. What's wrong with that?Tanks, please. For the love of god, if you see the ENTIRE PARTY ahead of you, pop sprint. It isn't that hard. Nothing, except for the fact they were ignoring the pig pack that zooms up towards you once you go anywhere near the chest off to the side after the first boss of Cosmos. Said pigs proceeded to attempt to eat both me and the BLM because the guy ran past, Unleashed too early and only clipped a couple of them, but then kept running towards the next set of mobs and didn't bother to pick the pigs he missed up.
Personally as a tank I tend to just let one of the dps run to any chests that are out of the way of the immediate path/mob aggro range, specifically to avoid situations like that, but y'know.
I understand the desire to run fast. However, I do not like the idea of running past certain checkpoint where a player will inevitably aggros the next pack of mobs before the tank gets there first. To me it sounded like their own fault for being impatient & would just /shrug IF the tank decides to let them eat the mobs themselves. Whoever picked the mob first could also run toward the stopping point (usually close to the upcoming wall) too since naturally that's where the tank would stop moving too. Round up the mobs to the tank's AoE range and everybody's happy.Nothing, except for the fact they were ignoring the pig pack that zooms up towards you once you go anywhere near the chest off to the side after the first boss of Cosmos. Anyway.. met interesting bunch yesterday in leveling roulette: The Aery.
Rolled in as a WHM and matched with a returner DRK, a sprout NIN and some random RDM. DRK claims to be green at tanking which is totally fine (and thank you for letting me know beforehand).
Naturally I always run slightly ahead of the party but never tries to aggro the next pack of mob before the tank does. I see this behavior on myself as sort of.. a 'guide' or a moving hint: "Hey, I'm good to handle more pulls, go ahead get wild and do bigger pulls!"
But after sometime during the pulls before 2nd boss, the tank suddenly does /facepalm emote at me. I asked myself... did I ever let them drop close to death..? Were they uncomfortable with the way I'm behaving? Okay fine well whatever. Probably a misclick too, who knows...
Reaching the 2nd boss, suddenly the sprout NIN asks 'Why healer stays in front.'
With question mark above my head, I immediately search both the DRK and NIN's search info...my guess were right. They came from same world. Possibly two friends queueing together. With that in mind, I just answered that it's easier for myself and I also never aggro'ed the mobs before the tank. Just silence.
The rest of run goes on without problem.. not much, it just mystifies me.
"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
I wanted to do Seat of Sacrifice for MSQ yesterday. After the first wipe (due to someone failing the active time event clicking), I was disconnected right after the battle started and after one party member's initiated countdown was completed. As I wasn't sure if my internet would go right back or takes a bit with the dis- and reconnection, I waited a bit before logging back. The result: I got booted from the party and was back in town#feelsbadman. Maybe they thought I'd be one of the wipe-and-leave ragequitters? But eh... then I wouldn't have waited till the battle started again. I guess, sorry to the group, this was *not* my intention.
Just a proud bad-skilked player
Did Rabanastre the other day and someone said it was their 18th run there that day (I guess for the relic) and they died to Hashmal's half-arena attack. Not sure how you can do a fight that many times in one day and not learn a simple mechanic. Unless they were just trying to get carried, of course.
