You mean always the case? Rather than weird, lol. Nobody wants to take blame. Even when they don't say anything I know they are blaming somebody other than themselves for a bad run. I can guess that just by me never getting commendations.![]()

Maybe. :P This is sort of new for me since normally we do full premade runs to avoid pugs as much as possible. For many reasons, one being I got a temp suspension for making jokes in party chat. Granted they were on the crass side but yeah. Now I just do the discord play with friends thing.
Did a Hades run recently and everyone was well-equipped. In the ~500 ilvl range. Yet I noticed he was taking a long time to kill, still. After paying attention to what people were doing, it turns out that one of our BLM was casting fire I and blizzard I, and the other was casting fire III (Yes, SPAMMING fire III, not IV) and freeze. And not a SINGLE Fire IV. I rarely run into one of these types of BLMs, but to run into two at the same time? Remarkable.

Hades in trial roulette. One tank drops before I even load in, the other a few seconds later, followed by a DPS. Two new players in the group, so we wait. Another tank joins.....and drops immediately.
The funny part is that we cleared with no trouble at all once the group refilled, so that first tank ate the penalty for nothing. Sticking around would've been faster than the lockout.

Mobs were dying fast & based on what you’ve stated, no wipes. Which means that healer -CAN- heal through the big pulls at that time regardless of whatever method they used. To me it looked like plain pettiness and laziness mixed. Good thing you and your friend choose to ignore their complaintsIt was HW leveling and the healer was struggling not sure why cause I healed the same tank with zero effort. Mobs were dying thst is why we ignored the healers remarks and kept doing large as possible pulls. Thing that made it funny for us every complaint they had was moot cause I was able to heal them without issues the run before. I guess that is what makes it interesting since at times you run into healers that say certain players are hard to heal and have no baseline for it. Though in this case I personally did have a baseline as I did heal said tank and we also happened to have used the same class granted my DNC is not fully geared in for 80 content but for a HW dungeon in a leveling.
If the heals wanted smaller pulls all they had to do was be honest and say they could not handle it. But for some reason they thought it was better to say everyone else is at fault. Seems weird to me.![]()

True, yeah that is another thing that tripped me up. It is not like we died or anything. Sure they might have not been able to just netflix their way through the dungeon. Made me wonder if it was a comfort thing was an interesting encounter. Since it was not as if they could not do it. Since they did albeit with much protest.

Well, apparently comfort is a really big thing for players in this game. People wanna be hand held; play it with no challenge whatsoever.True, yeah that is another thing that tripped me up. WHM | RDM | DNC
As long as the challenge isn't "Which tank will actually tank, and not spin the boss since there are 3 monks in this raid", then challenge is good.
With that said, had that happen a few nights ago when I decided to run Puppets' Bunker as DNC(99% of the time I run it as GNB). None of the tanks wanted to do the tanking, and with each alliance having a monk in them, you would expect the tanks to just hold the boss still so positionals could be hit...but nope. Lots of twisting - they weren't quite spinning it around, but definitely twisting it from side to side constantly - and even shooting lots of people with the tank buster laser on the third boss. It was probably the 4th or 5th time I've ran it as a non-tank....never again. At least if I'm a tank I can take over and keep a boss where it needs to be, rather than dashing around trying to not be in the line of fire for tank busters.

Hmm. Yeah I see this as a confidence/skill issue with the healer and certainly not any of yours. When I tank, I let people know that I don't tank often and to expect some likely skullduggery because I'm just not experienced. Everyone I have ever qued with had been very chill. That healer was out of line and as you mentioned, should have just told the truth. It was HW leveling and the healer was struggling not sure why cause I healed the same tank with zero effort.
