good grief, i have had two terrible alliance raids in a row, right after an amazing DRS victory

first one...near wipe on the first and second fights of the tower. Things got better until the last boss...where the same people kept dying. Who happened to be the healers of the other parties.

second raid copied factory. I had one of the worst parties I have ever seen:
-tank that didn't use mitigation
-2 healers that did 0 dps and chatted the entire time and even used cure 1 on me when i misread a mechanic and ate a laser knocking me to 15%
-freestyling samurai who never once used iajutsu
-rdm that constantly died
-dancer that didnt partner (until i pointed it out) or use standard step (they did tech step once a fight)

the only other competent member of the group was the summoner who bless him passed on the glam I have been trying to get for months.

to top it all off, one of the other parties was in a near state of dead for the first and last fight

This is the problem with the non confrontational attitude of FF...a great community, no doubt, I run into some solid people, but problems need to be addressed. If you suck at DPS or healing, you need to be told. I'll link rotation guides, Desperius, etc, if said people don't get it, I won't team with them. We all just can't sit here saying "my bad" and "no problem" while getting wiped and losing hours of what you thought was progress.

Some friends asked if I wanted to join in with them on a few runs of the Nier raids, of which I gladly agreed - I'm perpetually in need of coins, and still farming glamour and music and the elusive minions across far too many alts. Plus, they're just my favorite raid series anyway. I certainly want to get as many runs in of them as I can before they inevitably fade into obscurity along with the likes of Orbonne Monastery in the roulette, come Endwalker.

Anyway, pretty uneventful for the most part. Tower pops, we get in, DPS was good (thank gods for that). I accidentally took aggro on the first boss a couple times, though; I turned my stance on at about 70%, as I usually do, since that's typically time enough for the MT to have a good lead on aggro. Usually, barring them dying, I won't overtake after waiting that long to pop mine on... usually. I guess I was out-dpsing them though, as around 50% and 30% I saw it target me, and had to take my stance off again so the MT could regain aggro. But not a big deal.

Tanked Gretel as usual, no complaints from the MT.

We get to Red Girl, though, and she begins casting her TB on the three of us. I pre-position as far from players and other tanks as I can while still being within melee range, but suddenly right as the cast finishes, I'm yanked through her and into a group of people who - expectedly - quickly try to scatter to the winds. My poor AST swears in chat and begins profusely apologizing, it was an accidental Rescue while they were trying to shield me.

Thankfully, the damage must have snapshotted right as I got yanked, because no one got hurt except me. Even so, they felt horrible. I kept saying it was fine (gods know I've yanked by accident many a time, since Rescue is right by Esuna on my hotbar), and honestly? I was cracking up at the whole thing. Literally tears in my eyes laughing while fighting the boss, all while this poor healer was apologizing and - eventually - laughing as well.

Gave them my comm in the end - they were a good healer, to be fair, but man that little accident amused the heck out of me.

So, I just wanted to do the final step of the HW Anima for my littly SCH alt (kill all Primals from ARR + HW in Hardmode once).
I queue up for them one after another and get the same Co-healer for many of the trials who, presumably, did the same quest as I.

I'm a Scholar.
They are an AST.
They always go Noct.
They go out of their way to overwrite my shields every. single. time.
I ask them to change stance after encountering them for the third trial in a row.
No reaction, just overwriting.
Not that we needed that much healing anyway, but it got annoying after a while.
Oh...they were a Mentor btw.

Going as far as to overwrite your shields every single time sounded like they just want to troll you, or simply insisting that they -want- to shield. Especially after you've gone out your way to communicate. At that point if I were you, I'll avoid using anything that will give them a chance to overwrite it. Besides, it's also enough to handle the damage from those trials.

I have a very simple solution to these situations: let them heal, Broil/ Malefic/ Glare away.
If someone is this aggressive about healing, I'll happily leave it to them. They asked for it c:

Haven't posted in awhile but I had a weird one today that made me chuckle, I que for Mentor and I get Titan (Hard), fight goes well til I see a DRG flip off and my co-healer and half the group goes with em, was me (WHM), Tank and 1 DPS. I keep everyone alive from 40% to dead since I can't rez anyone and we live, was a fun experience lmao. Then I que for Normal raid roulette and I get Titan E4 but this time I que'd as a tank (DRK), we get in and halfway through both healers die and 3 DPS so we have 1 DPS, myself and the PLD alive, the PLD just Clemencies me and we clear with 1 DPS with me TBNing them during AoEs n such, was slow but everyone was like "Wooooo!".

What're the odds that Titan was just like "i'm gonna destroy you this morning!" and both experiences we had 3 people bring him down at 40%ish each huh, was kinda weird.

Yesterday, I was matched with a tank that doesn't know one thing for the role.
The person went ahead and attack without turn on tank stance.
As we were in a Japanese DC, we tried telling him in JP but the guy just didn't respond. So, I tried again in English and he put on the stance.
That's not the end of it... he doesn't know how to pull aggro.. doesn't look out any monster attacking team members... basically doesn't know where to go and I had to point out the way.

All above I told him in chat as it happens, but it seemed the guy was unhappy with the stance issue. Maybe he turned off chat totally.

It was Sastasha and I sure hope don't get to see him again..

Just had a Dalriada group which consisted of 16 people and we had very low healing capabilities. Our group healer was working overtime to keep us alive. Thank you very much for your efforts! Unfortunately timer ran out on the final boss at !!! 0,5% Health. Was truly a race to the finish which we lost. A run to remember though.

Had a DR run a couple days ago that was going wonderfully smooth and fast and then suddenly on Avowed we had a near wipe. The reason?

SCH in the alliance pulled early and the BLM in that same party decided to go full balls-to-the-walls right at the start, thereby gaining Avowed's undivided attention and slaps them with the tankbuster. Unfortunately that same BLM was standing in a crowd full of people, including me. I ran, but server ticks said no. 18 people suddenly ate dirt.

Dunno if this counts since it's Pagos.

But Mr MCH dude pulls fate boss when someone says that they're otw 30 sec ( I think the time is like 27:30 or something ).
And then someone said something along the lines of '' someone doesn't read chat it seems '' and he started insulting people, some people also died in the fight that didn't even say anything and he insulted them too basically calling them bad.
To which I basically said something like '' you don't have to be a jerk about it '', that's it.

I tried to blacklist him but apparently you can't do that in Eureka.
Not because he '' ninja pulled '' but because he was acting like an asshole, and I just said in chat '' why can't I blacklist in Pagos? '' a while after no one probably even knew who exactly I was talking about anymore.
He clearly knew it was about him and got really mad and started ranting about how he's busy and don't want to wait for people and that I should stop crying ( the crying part is something he repeated over and over again with like every sentence ).
All I really did was point out that I wasn't going to blacklist him for the pull I was going to do it because he was being a jerk and also pointed out that I didn't even miss the fate myself so I am not even '' crying '' about that.
I was just calling him out on him being a douchebag I wouldn't have said anything about it if he had only pulled early.
But it basically just made him angrier and after a couple of minutes after I've stopped replying he starts going again at me.

The most annoying part about it to me is that there were people who were essentially trying to gaslight me, I dunno if they were in the same group as him but probably?
They acted like it was a joke so I am unsure if it was but they basically started saying that I wasn't calm and that I had to calm down etc when I didn't even do or say anything that would imply that I was mad lol.
Just pointing out that someone was a jerk doesn't mean that you're mad or aren't calm just because I speak up when someone acts like a toddler and a jerk doesn't mean that I am fuming irl.

The most aggressive thing I said was to again say that the biggest issue wasn't that he pulled but that he acted like a jerk about it and that it's not that hard to understand.
If that's aggressive and not calm to some people then I dunno.


Eureka has actually been fun to me overall tho and most people I've met have been cool I've been in many groups that I've farmed with for many hours on end.
But this guy was the first genuinely toxic guy in there, and I dunno I just kinda would be embarrassed to act like that.
Like throwing a tantrum and repeatedly accusing people of '' crying '' and that being your main '' comeback '' so to speak when you did something obviously kinda shitty, I just dunno how some people can be so shameless and not understand how bad it makes them look.

But yeah, I was just thinking not long before that happened too '' wow Eureka is fun and I've met so many cool people '' and then...
Like go and play a singleplayer game?
Why are people like this even playing MMO's to begin with?
