Is Mentor Roulette programmed to gather the worst players or something? I swear, the runs I get in that roulette are always the worst compared to any other roulette. People simply don't know how to play the game. At high levels, some mistakes are unforgivable. I really understand why some mentors leave right away or after multiple wipes (though I still won't do it myself). It's just not worth it sometimes. And to be honest, mentors get a lot of shit from others, but when you try being one, you get to see why they're bitter at times. No matter how patient you are, there are things that you shouldn't have to put up with. I mean, for the love of God, stacking when you're marked and should get away from others (more than once and after being told not to), staying put when you have a stack mark instead of trying to at least run toward the others (more than once), seeing the same simple mechanics over and over yet still doing them wrong, tanks who don't know how to do their job, people queuing blind for extreme Trials (for many later fights, explaining mechanics via text is pointless and tedious), and the list goes on and on and on. People just expect to get carried when they don't even make an effort to learn the basics. I'm now convinced a lot of people who bash mentors either didn't try being in their shoes and living the horrors of being a mentor, or were actually among the bad players who had worn the mentors' patience thin.
P.S. Before someone says I shouldn't be a mentor if I don't want to go through this, my answer is simple: I'm doing it for the mount and nothing else. But despite this, I still try my best to do my job properly and be as patient as I can. But mentors are also human. Their patience wears thin and they have bad days too. This is not to say there aren't bad mentors. There definitely are. But try to cut mentors some slack from time to time.
