    Cursed Orbonne run.

2 healers in C left, one at the start, second one before Cid. 1 dps left before Mustadio.

1 half-wipe to the first set of harpy trash.

1 wipe to Agrias, with many deaths on the first attempt.

1 half-wipe to Cid. People don't understand to run away from Crush Weapon.

1 wipe to Ultima, because people did not pay attention to the intermission adds and did not have enough people to do the dps check. Second attempt had just as many deaths, and one of our replacement healers ate the tankbuster twice.

I die because I keep getting Venn diagrammed by people panicking and running. My attempts to help raise were wasted on people either just afking on the timer or people immediately getting up just to die again.

Overall took 60 minutes to clear, and I lost count as to how many times people died, including me.

    I need a hug.

Edit: now I remember why I have a love/hate relationship with Dun Scaith. This was all in the same run, on my main.

    I really need a hug.

This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.

The Twinning right now. And oh boi, mobs were never melting soooo slooooow. It took like forever to melt them down. I never figured out what the SMN was actually doing but it was pretty clear that they don't really know how to play this class at level 80. And when I checked the gear, they were still running around with a few ilevel 415 items. The healer, who was new, even had a ring of ilevel 409.

First boss and I think they broke the cages on purpose? I don't know but first one got hit with the sword, then another one run up with their AOE to stand exactly next and between two cages, shattering them both. Maybe they thought releasing the adds were a good idea? I don't know. I just don't know. And of course everything was just dying slooooooooow..

In the end, the whole run took over 25 minutes. At least the music was good, though.

I've been noticing that happening a lot more lately whenever I get Twinning. I honestly think it's a complete lack of awareness or care on the part of the people doing it. Literally had a guy break open three cages - one for every sequential attack, the sword-pounce-sword - simply because he wasn't paying attention to the sides and I guess assumed the adds were... coming out of nowhere?

    DF is making me weary.

I swear I get the best groups sometimes. Did Litany normal on my Black Mage. I was 2nd highest enmity on the boss because
    1) offtank didn't have stance on the entire time even after letting MT establish the most enmity and
    2) I (as usual) panicked upon realizing I was target, ran away to put as much distance between boss and I, proceeded to die without being healed, and THEN OT put stance on and provoked.
    ... like WTF people.

So try not to do that. Panicing solves nothing, and running away doesnt help as much as you might think when the bosses hitbox+reach fills almost 1/3 the arena. If youre on BLM and find you have agro there are a few quick steps to follow for best results. Step one is stay calm. We may not be the tactical experts those book users are supposed to be, but using powers like ours requires a cool head. Step two is to pop manaward if you havent already used it to ignore a previous mechanic. If you know the fight well enough to know how much damage is or isnt coming out in the next little bit, even better as you can potentially delay using ward until it would be more useful. Manaward is the most powerful defensive skill in the game that isnt on a tank toolkit, and it will allow you to tank a decent(sometimes even surprising) level of damage(be it raid/trial boss attacks and normal mechs, dungeon trash auto attacks for a fairly long time, and in some cases it even makes a tankbuster survivable at your low hp so long as the healers are paying attention). Step 3 is to stay relatively still. This keeps you in heal range, this lets the other DPS keep attacking, this makes it easier for a tank to take back agro once they notice/get ressed. And step 4 is to try to keep your rotation going. This might mean surecast to get spells off, or triple/swift/procs to have some instants handy, or just straight casting and rolling with the punches.

My Frontlines roulette was particularly funny yesterday. I signed up with two friends but our team were running all over the map and not bothering with objectives so we lacked behind for the most of the match. Early on, we were stuck at zero points.

Then, suddenly, we began shooting up in points. The other two teams were fighting over the same S rank, chipping away at each other's points as we caught up and claimed every other objective. We ended up winning.

Over two hours in queue for Innocence. Spend half an hour wiping on it because people keep dying.

Since this thread was pushed out by other random necro'd threads, here's a new story:

I haven't take a penalty for leaving a dungeon in a long time, especially as a DPS, but last night I decided to just accept it and go. Got Dzemael Darkhold for leveling roulette on my alt. I was leveling BLM. Get to the first set of monsters, tank grabs them but doesn't move toward the light. But we didn't get a new person notice at the beginning of the dungeon? Uh-oh. Me and the other DPS move toward the first crystal light area; the healer runs ahead of us and aggroes the pack near the first light. Then she... stands in the circle to open the door to the side room, instead of coming to the crystal light? Me and the other DPS, a DRG, are kind of just standing there like "What is happening here?" The healer gripes at the tank to take the aggro. He does, finally, but not before she dies. I tell the tank in chat to pull the monsters to the crystal light to reduce the damage he is taking. He ignores me. The healer does not return immediately (too busy literally calling the tank "trash," to which he responded that she was "def garbage"), so the tank dies. Me and the DRG get the aggro, the DRG dies (also not in the light) and finally I finish off the mobs from the light patch.

Since I didn't die, and I stupidly trusted that the others would already be on their way forward to catch back up, I walked onward toward the next room. I ended up accidentally aggroing one of the fish that patrols the next room, which was indeed my bad, but it doesn't take that long to walk back? Where were the tank and healer? Literally no one appears. I check the map--they're all at the start of the dungeon still? They haven't moved??? I die, ignobly eaten by a fish. Fair, I guess, I aggro'd it. But then the healer chews me out for, god's honest truth, not "walking back" to the start of the dungeon to meet back up with them, since they were "waiting for me." ...They were waiting for me to walk backward... just so we could all walk forward again? What??? I actually wrote in the chat that I had no idea why they'd wait for me to walk back instead of just... walking forward themselves? The healer went on about how it's a "team game" and we need to go together. I appreciate the sentiment, truly, but this is Dzemael Darkhold, please just... move your character forward...

Get to the large room right before the first boss. Tank once again does not pick up aggro or stand in the crystal light, despite both me and the other DPS begging him in chat to do so (he actually wrote "don't care" into the chat so I was ready to leave right then and there). I get aggro from mobs not picked up by the tank and die (again). Tank and healer die again from not standing in light. Literally a second wipe. In Dzemael Darkhold. What even? We finally limp through the pulls and get into the first boss. Tank doesn't want to move the boss to the crystal light spots... Finally he realizes he literally can't do any damage without moving it, and he does. We make it through the first boss. The DRG writes "gj" in the chat; the tank literally says "shut up."

Get to the frog room, tank immediately pulls everything and I figured we were due for our third set of deaths, but me and the DRG did our very best and managed to kill everything up to the crystal that does ground AOEs. On the way out of the room, the tank aggroes the frog/ghost combo that patrols up and down, and instead of stopping he charges forward into the next pack as well, where he promptly stands in the crystal ground AOEs and dies. He starts going off on the healer in chat again; we all get eaten by the mobs while they're apparently typing at each other.

That was the last straw for me. I told them I was going to take the penalty and just leave; the poor DRG said "Same," and I was gone. A 30 minute lockout was still better than dealing with more of that.

But after leaving, I had a suspicion, so I decided to check: sure enough, turns out tank and healer were from the same FC. So either the DRG and I got trolled as a joke, or that FC group has some serious issues...

Wtf why would you take the penalty? I would have initiated a kick vote if I was in that party long ago. You need only one person sound of mind to agree with you, if it doesn't pass only then would I leave.
