Rolled a new character on another Data Center to test the waters there, got to Copperbell.

Healer wasn't doing any DPS, but he's new, only level 30 so I told him it's okay to DPS when I don't need healing.
He continues to heal me when I'm at 75% and spend the rest of the time jumping back and forth.

First boss goes down, I bring it up again and am told to "chill m8", and when I say that they need to learn now while in lower levels so they don't get booted later on in higher levels I...

I know you're joking and that it's regarded a bit like The Bogeyman at this point, but I don't think a simple "could you please ____" is something they can be reported for due to "difference of play styles".

It‘s my own fault but Doma Castle. First IG I pull to airship HG doesn't go off we wipe healer rezzes me DPS SMN throws shade at my tanking can't blame them I apologized at the end still got a comp ^^.


Did I mention after dying with weakness it chases everyone back to the start we wipe again ;_;. They requested smaller pulls. I failed as a tank. Lol but I said eff that and still pulled big later wasn't gonna let one fuck up get to me.

So i was doing leveling roulette on my DRK. It's The Vault. I do the usual pulls. SCH struggles a bit, but otherwise we're going pretty smooth, everything dies decently fast, etc etc. People were getting pushed into the void gates on second boss left and right and collect like 4-5 vuln stacks each, but noone died and we continue our merry trip. And then at the final boss i realised that the healer was a first timer. Whoops. Around 30% they died to a chain, i pop my cooldowns, pop a max potion when i am low on health and we actually finish it from there. I explained the chain, gave sporut SCH a comm and honestly for their first time they did pretty great.

Nothing too exciting except well, I finally found a Cure spammer... I thought they were just urban legends, hahaha.

Maybe some accidental Superbolides... oooooooooooooooooooooopppps.

It's compelling a playstyle, a very reportable offence.

I'm reprogging savage again for a returned friend and it is a pure horror to see other tanks.

e5s was quite funny to see them run around with the add and not attacking at all. Even after I told them that they can have full uptime while kiting them, they didn't even try.
Letting them MT to show them how to handle the add was also no option because the boss was everywhere but not centered.
Really in e5s I haven't seen a single tank who knew the basics of tanking.
At one point I just stopped trying and didn't let the other tanks be the MT.

e6s was the real horror.
Just the tank in the kill group was decent, every other tank was just tilting me.

Random shirks, misplaced bosses, ignored melee complaints and the incompetence of playing the TB.

Or did I just miss a ultra good guide that says that every single TB should be played different and every other way to play it is 100% the wrong way? Because this is something I got told.

It's reportable if it's phrased poorly, sure. I am almost completely certain that simply saying "Could you please use aoe? It's more effective/effective on groups" can not be seen as anything other than a very bland request/comment, because it is. Problems arise when people get antagonistic/try to continue past the point when it's clear the other person just isn't willing to listen.

Again, if this happens, you just shrug and move on. I've never had a GM reprimand me for anything, and certainly not for the few times I've asked something of someone, as I don't go out of my way to be a jerk. Even if someone had a knee-jerk reaction and filed a report, a GM can access chat logs quite easily to see there was nothing even close to ill intent. I really don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be.

Easy enough to handle, but can get extremely annoying if they start running away from you, or never run towards you. Still I don't know how that person was "struggling" even if that was the case.

late but if we wanna get pedantic "struggle" was probably not the right word choice more I was struggling to get them off before our healer folded like stack papers which was definitely partially them being undergeared but you gotta work with what you got you know?

I don't really mind who pulls normally and if the dps or healer wants to pull nbd as long as they can keep themselves alive.
