A couple days back, I met a WHM who only used regen, cure, and Benediction. No Medica, Medica II. Could it have been worse? Well, a while later, I met a WHM spamming cure II but not use regens or AoE healing for better healing potency, nor using Lucid Dreaming so... I guess it could be worse.

As an AST, Alliance Roulette sent me to Weeping City of Mhach. A bonus message popped up signaling new players/alts in the instance. After eliminating the 3 main adds during the second boss, I typed in Alliance Chat the following quote:

"Don't forget to get inside green aoe during Mega Death."

A minute later, my co-healer got knocked out from Mega Death for not going inside the green aoe, the healer asked why his HP hit zero. I asked him if he read what I typed in alliance chat. I did not get a response. He later got up after being revived and still got knocked out on the next room wide aoe. He later questioned why he died again. At this point, I stopped bothering to revive him since the boss was near 0 percent health and my Swiftcast was on Cooldown.

Healer eventually said he did Weeping City a long time ago and forgot mechanics. However, IMO, it does not excuse him from ignoring and not acknowledging the tip on Mega Death I typed out for the new people when he complains about dying to the specified mechanic.

In short, reading the chat for advice is hard for some.

Frontlines roulette today, typical team who doesn't want to listen and whatever. I queued with some mates and one was calling objectives as usual and telling what to prioritize (they kept going against the ones with no points while the other team had a lot). At some point I see pop up a vote dismiss for him. I was so shocked I can't even tell.

Low key they probably just wanted a mans to shut up. Sadly most people who queue for Frontlines do not care so much about the win and only the reward. Not all that shocked tbh.

Learn to accept answers gracefully and without getting defensive about not knowing stuff. You didn't know something. People provided an answer. You didn't believe it. People provided links and evidence. The normal response at that point would have been, "Thanks, learn something new every day." Your response was "Well, you should have provided those the first time around." Move on.

No one did provide any links. One person explained it, and I did thank them. I did give a normal reply, not really defensive. My apologies if my years of mmo experience, and being told false info in the past makes me hesitant to just accept info.

ya, which is silly. My only expectation is just the bare minimum of your role, and upgrade gear. You know basic stuff any rpg player will/ should do.

Telling the person who provided links that no links were provided is rich. Just admit when you're wrong about something and move on. No one is obligated to provide references to back up anything they say. If you choose not to believe someone then that is on you not on them. Asking for links is fine, but scolding people for not posting them and claiming that people should not respond at all unless they are "fully replying" by providing references is not. It is this behaviour, not asking for details, that makes you come across as being a troll. For what it's worth, I don't think you're trolling. I just think you're legitimately clueless about how entitled you are coming across as.

sucks my net has been spotty on my pc, or i would look up videos, but what i said is what i googled. Which is why i asked for a source. a lot of websites do not keep up to date well it seems.

you clearly missed this part, My pc is extremely old, and the net connection is unstable on it since a power outage. Google etc has been taking forever to load, my phone also sucks and only use it for discord texting, phone calls, and texting. Video calls do not even work on it. I tried using it to browse, but ads cover the screen and it runs poorly. Having a link to say, the patch notes to the change would have helped me a lot, im still very much learning the game, and do not understand everything.

Also, I'm not targeting you. You asked the question "How am i trolling by asking for people making claims, to link sources. That should be normal, stuff i looked up was out of date, how is that my fault?" and I provided an answer why people thought you were trolling.

No one is saying you shouldn't be able to ask for links. And your PC situation has nothing to do with anything. It's telling people that links should be provided up-front that people have problems with. Why even go there? Just ask for the links, thank people if they're provided, and don't call people out for not giving them.

Had a horrible Orbonne run today, which really made me sad as I absolutely love that raid and had actually specifically queued for it. Right out the gate, one of the tanks says "I'm tank." and then proceeeds to not put their stance on the entire birds area, which a lot of people ended up dying to until another tank took the skeletons.

Mustadio was awful, so slow on dps and people dying non stop to the analyse attack and the big line aoes.

But where I really started to notice it was bad was the Naiohito enemies. No one was standing in the pads, so we got a ton of adds, and I noticed this one MCH in my party literally just doing Split Shot combo over and over. I made a comment that they should look up their rotation, but that was before I examined them and saw they had full Neoishgard gear.

Anyway. Thunder god went just awfully. That MCH still didn't try at all and the healers were so pathetically bad that they killed each other trying to hard cast raise that MCH. Then not once did they full heal for the doom mechanic., and my entire party nearly all ignored the sword in/out mechanics. After the first wipe I initiated a vote kick on that MCH as I felt they were completely holding us back, and the party instantly started shouting at me about being annoying whiner elitist. Literally the only thing I had said was "You should look up the machinist rotation"

After that, because they were so rude to me and it ticks me off when people refuse to kick afkers and people who dont even try, I got kind of rude and said the guy was literally doing nothing and they shouted at me that if I had a problem, I needed to be the one to leave.

Well, what do you know, we wipe 2 more times to the same exact mechanic because the healers are so bloody incompetent. The other two parties were doing fine, we just kept wiping during the Doom mechanic before the dps tether pass off, so both other parties got out tether and our red bubbles.

Somehow everyone was silent and ignored an abandon request... I don't usually do abandon requests because I want people to learn but they ignored every mechanic and didn't even change their behavior even once, despite the 3 times they saw the same mechanic. Just mind numbingly awful play. And most of them had full neo-ishgard! How do people get there and still not know their foot from their face?
