- You don't need healing in Nero at all, if you're properly geared. Probably why healers didn't even bother healing: because usually they don't need to, as long as you're using cooldowns as well

Lol, absolutely, using the context of that content, although... dying in prae because a healer couldn't throw up a regen is cringe lol.

But I was responding to your original post where you mentioned none of this but came at it like all these other tanks and dps don't need a heal which is why I explained my point.

Dzemael Darkhold on my noob alt for GC.
I mostly run with full FC group nowadays but since I was being lazy and didn't want to subject anybody I care about to the annoying place, I just picked the person I always play with and we pugged the 2 dps.
Premise, I'm still learning how to play SCH. At first all well, except the dancer is taking way too much damage and in general the outgoing damage isn't high but oh well. At some point my friend makes a pull (with frogs and such) that's a bit too big fpr me too heal through apparently, so he dies. No problem, I res him back, keep the dps alive in between and we go on. I thought I couldn't manage it well but at least I recovered, and also got to use Fey Illumination which I hadn't had a chance to use yet. Next we're in the part where to activate the "teleporters" you have to stand in the aoe, so the pulls get smaller, also counting what happened before, but the dancer decides to pull more stuff, which somehow passes aggro to me, so I die before I can heal myself and bring the foes to the tank, and we wipe. Except the monk who apparently managed to finish killing the rest alone. I was kinda ashamed at the wipe but I wasn't sure I was to blame for it so I said nothing.
Last boss, even though everything is going well the monk uses Mantra. That moment I know they didn't trust me to manage to healing anymore and it was a very sad sensation. Overall a pretty bad-feels run.


Oh an addictional one on the same character, but this time I was doing guildhest roulette on ninja. I get under armor, the supereasy one in tam tara entrance where you just need to burn the boss and ignore the adds and it lasts like a few seconds. I see someone pulling the boss away aaaall the way up the stairs, at first I think it's some scared sprout who got aggro from the tank by mistake and is running away panicky, but nope, it was the tank. When we asked where was he going, he said he was was taking the boss away from the adds. Dude, in the time we wasted running after them we would have kileld the boss 3 times, and ofc the adds caught up cause they're not as dumb as that tank. Of course we laughed it out and made jokes so it was facepalm-worthy but memorable.

Nidhogg trial. ~1/6th of his health left. All the DPS and both Healers were dead. Just myself and the other Tank alive, both Paladins. Clemencied our way thru it while the dead cheered us on in chat.

Was doing The Vault last night with a friend, he's a Paladin, I'm helping as my White Mage sub, with two randoms Red Mage and Ninja.

Come Ser Adelphel Brightblade, the first blade. Both the DPS always, and I stresses this, ALWAYS approaches the ball of lights that the boss left behind, eating explosions and collecting stacks of bleeding. Can't heal through 4 stacks of Bleeding again and again , resulting in me burning through MP and miraculously enough with everybody up in the end although with worrying level of health on the DPSes.

Oh, and I should mention the Red Mage apparently loves to stand next to my Paladin friend, eating AOE and attacks like nobody's business

The final boss, the DPSes acted again, this time didn't find themselves able to evade the marching robots... and the Red Mage also still standing next to the Paladin...

Ugh, I don't even know anymore. At least we finally won.... and to add insult to injury, my friend got 2 recs while I got none

Now I understand why people say playing as Healer can make a person terribly jaded, hahaha.
